My Uncle and I stop by saturday for some prime ribs and steaks. My prime rib was abit rubbery, hardly any season on it. My uncle's steak was over cook and no to hardly any seasons either. the Lady across from us ask if our steaks were season.. we said no..

5⭐️ — Tuesday fish fry at Fitz’s on the Lake was fantastic. I got the haddock combo (baked + fried) for $15 and it was spot-on—lightly breaded, flaky, and delicious. Sweet-potato fries were perfectly crispy (hence… gone). Hailey was wonderful and the lake view can’t be beat. Paired it with a fresh, cold English IPA—chef’s kiss. Highly recommend!

We were nearby for the Susie the Duck festivities and Fitz's was recommended. My wife had the 16oz prime rib which was good, not the best, not the worst. I had a haddock cake sandwich which was also ok, much different texture than your standard fish sandwich which was also on the menu. There was an extra charge for most sides, even potato chips with sandwiches. I felt it was expensive for what we had given the quality. The normally open eating area was enclosed due to rain, which is understandable, but there was nearly only picnic table seating, no seat backs so we ate inside. The service was great and there was a singer with guitar for entertainment.

Took a lil ferry ride from the north on our way home. We stopped for a beverage & lil filler. Sitting outside we took in the beautiful view of the lake! Boats, jet skis, skiers & fishers. (Wisconsin lake has it all!)
At Fitz’s there were families were playing yard games, while others were enjoying a beverage & meals too. Our server was very personable & prompt! (Sorry, Wish I could remember her name!) the other staff were also friendly & smiles.
We peacefully enjoyed the beautiful day! We will def be back to enjoy this atmosphere!!

We ordered take out for family guests. We had to wait on food when we arrived which was not a problem. The food was awful. Fish tacos were soggy, cheese curds did not have cheese. Hamburger and fish were greasy. We threw most of the food out. I called and talked to the manager. He tried to blame us for not picking it up on time. Then it was kinda oh well. I asked him to leave a message for the owner, since we are regulars at Fitz's and have been for years. I never got a call back. Their prices have gone up and quality down. I wanted to like this place but there was just a few too many things wrong for me to give it 5 stars. I loved the atmosphere, it's right in the lake and the landscaping is really pretty. The staff were very friendly. The menu had a good variety and all the staples you'd want to see at a bar like this. The brandy old fashioned was EXCELLENT. The food was underwhelming and the portion sizes were very small, especially for the price. The quality of the food was okay, not bad but definitely not great. The bloody Mary was not good, very salty.

I have a service therapy dog. It’s hot so he doesn’t have his full vest. I checked with the hostess the farm manager and one other guy that they asked would be OK if we sat on the patio. They put us in a corner, which is perfect. He laid under my chair the entire time. Our weight person was fantastic. The drinks, the food fantastic. Then this blonde lady towards the end of our meal walked up and said you do know that you are not allowed to have any type of dog here. I said it was cleared with the front desk thank you very much. She said he needs to have a vest and papers. Nope you are 100% wrong. If you’re gonna wreck the atmosphere of a bar restaurant like this with that attitude stay home. We arrived around 30 minutes after they opened and you’d think that the buffet would be pretty fresh. Most of the buffet was pretty lackluster. The eggs Benedict were burnt and tasted weird, the tres leches bread pudding was awful. It was dry. How does that even happen!? It was gray, cold and almost like a gelatin like substance. The biscuits and gravy were over peppered, and the rest of the food was pretty meh. The fruit was at least fresh. The omelette station wasn’t anything to write home about, some old guy bitching about how hot it was and then snapped at me saying “whaddaya want?” The omelette was burnt, and he added WAY too much cooking oil to it, which didn’t make it taste any better. The flys were insane. Yes, I get eatting on the dock has its charms and all but god damn get a fly strip or something.

The service was ok. We had a server who seemed more interested in dancing to classic rock then checking in on us. She was nice and all but the food was so disappointing it kind of ruined the vibe. The people next to us, also shared amongst themselves how bad the food was. Overall, it wasn’t worth the trip or money.

We went to Fitz’s on Friday for lunch. Atmosphere and waitress was great. I ordered the Jungle salad with added chicken. Considering the price I was very disappointed. Mostly arugula greens with a few scattered manderine oranges, the pecans were microscopic, and the feta cheese, also few and far in between, were the size of a pea or smaller. If I hadn’t added the chicken it wouldn’t have even qualified as a side salad. $13.99 plus an extra $5.99 for the chicken, I should have done the salad bar.

We used to eat here while boating in the summer and haven't been here in a while. We stopped in for drinks and dinner. The two bartenders seemed fairly new. Our first drinks (whiskey/seltzer) were mostly seltzer. The other bartender poured a substantial drink. After a while, we asked to see a menu. I ordered coconut shrimp, and my wife ordered fried chicken. Both took forever (and were not too busy) and were leaning more toasty than we expected. I peeled the breading and ate the shrimp; my wife tried to do the same. No one asked what we thought, guessing for good reason. Hope the boating season goes better!

Went in with a few buddies. My food was great, loved the salad bar option (you dont see that hardly anywhere anymore). I got a burger and fries, both were excellent. My friends got the fried chicken dinner. The amount of batter to chicken ratio was a little overwhelming. The amount of grease and the 1/2” layer of beer batter was ridiculous. Ive stopped here many times before and its always been good when you stick to the menu and not the specials. We waited a bit for drinks but our server was young and unable to deliver them so we understood. Overall, a good place to relax and eat, great location and food is good but has its flaws depending on what you choose. $12 for a burger with no sides is a bit steep and drinks are over priced. $12 for a bloody mary with a 1” meat stick and a 1” cube of cheese is a bit of a stretch. Ive had better bloodys for half that price elsewhere.

I came here on a Sunday. It was not busy. Our waitress was not attentive at all. There were so many bugs as well (not the waitresses fault). I did not leave a good tip. When I looked at my credit card statement, it showed they charged me more than what I signed for. I assume the waitress gave herself more of a tip. I called the restaurant and talked to the manager. He said he would get back to me. After 5 hours of no phonecall, I decided to leave this review.

We were at Fitz’s this past Saturday night, which surprisingly it wasn’t busy. We were seated right away and ordered drinks and some appetizers. I ordered a drink which they forgot the olives which is part of the drink I ordered. The appetizers were good and so was the service at that time. However, when it came to the meal, that fell really short. I’ve been to Fitz’s a lot over the past 15 years and have never once had a bad meal or service. This night was different. We ordered 3 steaks, burger and a kids burger. My steak was all red which I ordered medium well, the other steak wasn’t done, the burger had absolutely no flavor nor did the steaks and they completely forgot my husband’s meal. The waitress never came back to see if we needed anything or asked how the food was (until we flagged her down for another drink and to tell her they were missing a meal). We didn’t get charged for my husband’s meal, which thank god because his steak was tough, really fatty and had no flavor (just like the rest of the steaks). Oddly enough, the people behind us experienced the exact same issue with their steaks and a meal being missed. I am really disappointed in our overall experience. I don’t think we will be coming back anytime soon unfortunately—but maybe down the road eventually.

I’m not a good critic or judge any restaurant on one visit. I have been to your restaurant multiple times (including Mother’s Day brunch) and always had great service but the food is definitely subpar at best. 3 of us dined there for lunch today 9/13/24. One of us ordered the salmon sandwich. It had no flavor. One order the half and half fish with fries, the fries were cold and chewy. The waitress did state that “after sitting for a while they get that way”! The beer battered fish was good, the butter crusted was so chewy and SMALL! And the beer bread was good but very dried out so all that was edible was the very small inside portion. For $20 I expected to get 3 good size pieces of fish that were out of this world. It’s very unlikely that any of our group will be back anytime soon.

But instead we were led to the two tables for two, behind the tarp/wall. I expressed our desire to sit at a picnic table where we could see the lake. Visited on July 19th, 2024. Food was good as were the drinks. They were busy and while we were enjoying our after dinner drinks, the host requested that we move to make room for other guests. NEVER GOING BACK! Over priced as well.

Ordered fish "dinner" - got ONE piece of fish and a baked potato - NO butter or margarine, NO tarter sauce, NO lemon slice for fish, NO dinner roll, NO coleslaw or baked beans - gat charged a fee for using credit card and zinged 18 % tip. NEVER AGAIN - What a rip off and $11 fir a bloody Mary. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! TERRIBLE!!!

Honestly, I should know better than to dine there during the summer months. Prices are up, quality down. I ordered a beautifully described kebob. What I got was 2 pieces of overcooked meat, 2 overcooked shrimp and lots of bland peppers/onions/mushrooms.

Very traditional fish fry atmosphere. We had to wait an hour and a half to get a table out on the deck, which is the only reason I would go to Fitz's is to be on the lake. But while we waited we had a drink and played giant Jenga so it was fun. Even though the bar itself wasn't very crowded the bartender was not very attentive and I finally went outside without paying my tab. Of course I came back in later to pay it. It's a little pricey for a fish fry.

Very nice place, good service but unfortunately the food wasn't very good. The salad bar was decent. I had walleye. Wasn't good. If the tartar sauce wasn't good I wouldn't have eaten it. My wife got a steak. She wanted it cooked medium and it came more than well done. Wasn't even close the how she ordered it.
Hate to give bad reviews but I'm just being truthful in my opinion. I'd give it a pass

I would have given them 0 for service but it doesn't allow for that but there was group of 13 of us and we were sat outside under the overhang at a couple of long picnic tables and most of us ordered their $13.00 burgers that don't come with fries or chips not even a pickle. My self and my wife ordered fried onions on our burger and the cheap S.O.B. charged us over $2.00 with tax for them absolutely outrageous this place will dollar to Death. We all arrived at 12:30 it took over 20 minutes to get our drinks and other had to track down the server by the way he was sitting in the lower level dinning room on his phone and it took another 20 minutes to order our food and there were only three other couples their. Then about a half to three quarters of an hour to get our over cooked food. then we never saw him again for about a half an hour when he came back to give us our bill and then never came back W.T.F. so I tried to go in and pay my bill so we could leave and the bartender told me we had to pay our absent sever I told him that we haven't seen him and we are not waiting around any longer. This entire mess took well over two hours. I almost forgot they gave our appetizers to some other table. NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Manger thought it was okay to starting writing my credit card number down without letting me know when the power went out . Waited around for 20-30 minutes hoping it would get resolved . It took 5-10 mins back to get my ID back when they just needed to take a picture of it . Unprofessional! Will not be back ! It was so hot in there I was getting lightheaded they were taking so long . No apologies either. Not a good experience at all

2 of us ordered the Ribey medium rare...came well done maybe 1/2 thick brought us a new ones still over cooked passed medium. Ordered onions and mushrooms to go on the steak and didn't get those on either one. Our friend ordered the special kebobs and over cooked as well. Menu looks great but they need to hire people who can cook!! $90.00 meal not worth $30.00

Outstanding on everything. My only tip is to get there early!!! During boating season, there are lines of people, boats, and cars. Carry out is an option, but again, there is a wait, and hopefully, you can find street parking not too far away. Besides that, great food, salad bar, and drinks. Try the brandy Alexander and Banana Banshee.

UPDATE: The owner made good on this problem. I received a gift card more than I expected. His menus were printed incorrectIy and he hadn't realized it. I ordered a steak bowl. When I had a few bites my mouth was burning. There were jalapeños on it. If I had seen jalapeños on menu I wouldn't have ordered it.

After returning for the summer, we look forward to visiting our favorite restaurant in the area. That being Fitz's on the Lake. I ordered the cavatappi with creole cream sauce (Reel it In) To say I was disappointed was an understatement. It tasted like pasta with tomato soup and a little parsley sprinkled on top. I'm hoping this dish that sounded amazing can be improved. I wanted this to be a private email but was unable to email through your site. We have always been very impressed with your restaurant so this was quite surprising. Thank you for your time
