Had a good experience dining today. I had bacon cheeseburger and a regular fry with water. Service was friendly (greeted when you walked in) and fairly prompt to get food ordered and made. Burger was excellent with generous portions of fry. I would recommend this could be a meal for two if need be. Staff was actively cleaning throughout the time I was there which was a nice surprise . I would vote coming back for anyone looking for a good fast food burger. It is a bit spendy but for the taste and portion size, I think it was worth it.

Honestly the burgers are the only positive here. The price is just ridiculous for what your getting. The fries are soggy, and they barely give you any!! I've visited this location now 4 times and I've always ordered a small. The last time I got a regular just knowing it wouldn't be enough for my daughter and her father and I. And we got as much as a small fry in the cup. And it's a blizzard today and there's no one in here. Couldn't even be nice enough to give the extra scoop you would get in the eau claire location. This place is not worth it for me.

I work at McDonalds, and I can say this right now about our establishment: McDonald's secret weapon is salt. They salt the grill to give the burgers a rich, salty feel. I feel like, if Five Guys did that, they would be head and shoulders above places like McDonalds. Despite that, the burger was still delicious, and the fries, while not as crispy as I'd like, had a good pillowy, potato-y flavor to them that I quite enjoyed.

This location gets compared to the Rochester branch. Here's the reason why: the food is CONSISTENTLY great at Rochester.

I've been to this location 3 different times since open.

First time, I couldn't recommend it because the fries were sadder than a wet paper bag and the concept of seasoning was a lost art.

Second time was after 6pm. The burger was properly seasoned. The concept of crispy fries was still a foreign concept. I'll even add in a clean restaurant without garbage over flowing wasn't even in the business operating plans.

Alright, 3rd time's a charm...

2 out of 3 times, the fries have not met my standard as french FRIED (not crispy).

A real expensive burger experience. Most part, really happy with the freshness of the food. Less than happy with how the food has been seasoned. Pending on the time, you could be walking into a train wreck sit-down dinning experience.

As I shared earlier, the consistent quality of well seasoned food that matches the standard of 5 Guys. It's hit-and-miss at the Onalsaka branch. When they are on, you are getting a damn fine (expensive) burger experience.

First time eating here.. the burger was really good. My only complaint would be that the bottom of the bun gets soggy, really quickly, but that aside, it was excellent! Fries were very good. They could have used another minute in the frier to crispen them up more, but all in all very good flavor.

Actively embarrassed by this location. The floors were absolutely filthy, tables not wiped down. As someone who worked at a location, I noticed several key elements lacking. I watched potential cross contamination (workers at the grill working with raw meat and cooked with the same gloves) and absolutely disgusting counter spaces. When I went to order a burger with veggie wrap, I was given a veggie sandwich (not sure how they confused the two?). When I tried to ask for a correction, the worker had a direct attitude with me, and proceeded to VERY loudly talk about the mistake to literally EVERYONE on the line working. I was then pointed at several times, stared at, and became very uncomfortable. I was yelled at by one of the workers ACROSS the restaurant that "I needed to come to the counter". I was also mis-pronounes several times. I left extremely uncomfortable and will not return.

It’s the lack of unprofessionalism when I was standing there waiting for my food I overheard both of their conversations and the things they were saying was very mean. We were there 7/27 around one in the afternoon, it was our first time and ngl was excited to try it because of all the hype it gets.

The first thing when we got in the casher asked if it was our first time, when we said yes she acted like it was a chore to gave the bare basic explanation of the menu.

First time going to Five Guys, so my experience is based on a first impression. - The burger I ordered was good, they have lots of options for toppings at no extra cost. Service at the register was decent, but the people working on the food in my mind were below standards. It seemed like there were quite a few people behind the counter, but not a lot of activity or productivity to get orders out.

No combo options. If you want a burger, fries and drink, then you have to buy each separately, that'll take a person easily to the $20/person range, which seems excessive for a fast food restaurant. Lunch or dinner at Culver's for the two of us usually is about $20-21 and that includes burgers, fries and drink. Another perspective we ate at Texas Roadhouse the day before and we could do steak dinner options for a cheaper price than what Five Guys does for a dinner or lunch option.

Also it seemed like it took awhile to get our food. Now I realize it just opened a few months ago, but for the amount of people working behind the register, and the seemingly low amount of people ordering in the store...I felt like this place would get overwhelmed during a lunch hour rush. Also maybe take a lesson from that chicken place next door that just opened up. Those guys are friendly, fast, and still deliver a quality product while maintaining competitive prices.

Lastly, my opinion the extra toppings for burger options are at no extra charge, but it seemed to me that the individual cost for each type of burger is what it should cost if it came with the works, not just the plain sandwich. So while the no charge on extra toppings is nice, they make up for it by overpricing burgers to begin with.

So here's the deal - I love Five Guys, I always have. I made it a practice to stop if I happened to be on business in a town with one.

When one came to Onalaska, I was excited. The first time we went, it was great. The last few times, it's gone downhill, and *here's why*.

Part of the atmosphere at Five Guys is that when you order fries, you get a bunch of extras dumped in the bottom of the bag. They're expensive fries, but you feel like you got a bonus.

The last 3-4 times my wife and I have gone, we've ordered a large fry, and there's almost nothing in the bottom of the bag. This wouldn't be an issue elsewhere, but at Five Guys, it's expected.

The burgers are great, the staff is super helpful, but this change has made the local Five Guys step down from being an awesome restaurant to just an expensive burger joint.

First time at this restaurant, order a burger and fries.
Burger was very good and ordered with everything. The fries were OK and a large amount but very greasy.
Nothing special for the cost. It's probably my only visit.

For a burger that is made fresh to order I don't know how it could come to us cold. The bun, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms and cheese were cold, as if they had been sitting in front of the A/C . The fries were not crispy as you would expect, but still tasty and were the only thing that was hot. The peanuts were stale. Tables had not been wiped off and trash was overflowing. Not the experience I was hoping for, for our first visit. Very disappointed and yeah, it's not cheap. Will stick to Culver's!

It was very busy the evening we went, however, the wait staff was great and our burgers and fries were great. The only small complaint I had is the peanuts were very stale. Not a big deal, the food was great as well as the service!

Took over 10 minutes to get a burger but it was worth the wait. Delicious! My first time and it won't be the last. It was a little cluttered looking, looks like a new location and just getting settled in.

It was bad. Hamburger bun was soggy and burger wasn't as good as Culver's. Told them but they didn't seem to care even though they asked--lol. Won't be going back there---

Have been to plenty of 5 guys and I was underwhelmed. My burger was mushy, I asked for no cheese but got it anyway and the fries were limp and not cooked long enough. It wasn’t very clean and the hard core rock music playing was too loud. Sadly disappointed. Maybe they’re err having a bad day, I dunno.
