Got the orange chicken and chicken broccoli. I have to say the food was unedible which I have never experienced at the restaurant before. Had to throw away the entire order due to chicken being tough/hard, and the flavor was gross. My family loves Chinese so I don't know where it went wrong, but we will never come here again. Last night we decided to try this place out. I couldn't have been more disappointed and I paid 91 dollars for our food. We ordered a seafood delight with shrimp fried rice. Got the rice correct but got sweet and sour chicken instead of seafood delight. I get wonton soup at EVERY asian place I try I love it. However, theirs was SO salty I could not eat it at all it all went into the trash. I was so sad. I was so disappointed I put my egg foo young in the fridge and haven't even tried it yet. The only thing good I ate last night was the crab rangoon and the sweet sour sauce they sent was cold and goopy... I would not recommend this establishment.

My mistake it was the shrimp w/ lobster I do not have the wrong place.

This establishment is completely unprofessional and the so called manager “Logan” is of no help! Be warned they will send u the completely wrong food and then not be willing to fix it! Bf and I have been ordering here the past few years. They used to be average, not bad. But the past 5 or so times I've ordered in the past year or so there's always something wrong. Like the food is cold or they made my order wrong or the chicken is all gristle and tough when it wasn't before. Last night I found a stapler in my lo mein and almost swallowed it. Updating my review off our last visit. Things seemed to have changed a bit. Ordered the crispy sesame beef and it tasted like it was fried with shrimp. Lo mein was burnt and dry. Nothing all that appealing about walking through the front of the restaurant with food and drinks stacked up where tables used to be either. We might be going to other options more frequently moving forward, unfortunately.

Ordered delivery and was inedible. We’ve ordered here before and it was okay as far as low end Chinese places go. This time we ordered chicken lo mein, it showed up burnt. Like pretty badly burnt. Noodles were scorched, chicken was dried out and burnt tasted terrible. We called and talked to someone who looked up the phone number and order number and told us that the manager was on another call and would call us back (apparently don’t have a ‘hold’ function on their phone). No call back, nothing. Probably was no manager there. It shouldn’t have ever been sent out to a customer after being burnt so badly and should have cared when someone calls to say they burned their order. Awful food, terrible customer service, they clearly don’t care about their customers. Now we have to find someone who delivers after nine pm. Don’t waste your time or money, there are MUCH better Chinese joints in Madison.

The sauce was supposed to be medium hot, but was completely void of spice and not very flavorful other than being very sweet. YUCK!!, $90 bucks for a whole bag of nasty food. Chicken skewers were like jerky, Generals chicken was fried batter with no visible chicken + it tasted and smelled like fish. Fried dumplings came in a sea of oil , cold, overcooked and rank. Everything tasted like fish. I love fish but I don’t want my chicken to smell like fish. The food was fantastic and we will be back again but unfortunately not very often. I feel like some of the prices are a bit ridiculous. Plain fried rice, which was simply rice and soy sauce was a $4 upgrade. Also, I wish to would offer less than 10 crabmeat rangoons for $9.A half order would be a great option!. Walked in. Waiting area was VERY cluttered with inventory. Ordered sweet and sour combo, a sesame chicken combo both with fried rice and an order of crab ragoon. I place an order on Eat Street, an hour and a half goes by, finally someone shows up from door dash, completely different delivery service. The food was cold, and late, so I contact Eat Street and after a 30 minutes, explain the situation turns out the restaurant does it's own deliveries so I have to contact them, and guess what no help from the restaurant, so since door dash delivered it I tried contacting them however since I wasn't the one to use door dash for the delivery nothing to be done there either. So I went through Eat Street to have the order sent to the restaurant just to have the restaurant apparently place an order on door dash for their own restaurant to have it delivered to me.....All that ridiculous situation aside, the food was just bad and overpriced. Next time you want Chinese food just go get some frozen Chinese meals at the grocery store probably will taste better.

*Responding to owner's response.
1.) I ordered through Eat Street which is a separate service so your numbers are off. I ordered at 2 pm and the order didn't arrive until close to 3:30. Why it was delivered by door dash I do not know why.
2.) 13.2 miles is not correct at least accordingly to the Eat Street app listed it as 6 miles away and was the top option for ordering Chinese food. I'm not saying the owner is wrong but that what was listed on the site, and maybe the owners should take steps to correct that.
3.) It wasn't hot when delivered it was cold and it being 90 plus degrees outside has nothing to do with the temp of the food since usually people tend to have ac in their cars so your argument is once again moot.
4.) "We have been here since 1998" Not sure what that has to do with anything aside from your business is older in an area where Chinese take out is not as common as it should be but maybe that might be why your quality as a restaurant as deteriorated over the years.
5.) "We make great food" Yeah no you don't. Your portions are small to the point where my meal was mostly dry and cold fried rice and very little chicken, and even them the chicken was dry, and chewy, and a chore to get through but I did pay upwards of 40 bucks for two meals for me and my coworker so make the most out of it. So good is not what I would call it.

I ordered for delivery. Was pretty fast! I ordered vegetable lo mein and chicken noodle soup. I’ve never ordered chicken noodle soup from an Asian place. I have to say they didn’t disappoint. I used the crispy noodles for crackers. Lots of noodles. Not much broth which is how I like it. It could if used more chicken. I’m almost done and have only ate one piece of chicken! And it was small at that. The lo mein was good. I normally have to flood it with soy sauce, but thank God I didn’t have to do that cuz they only gave me one packet. Overall a very good meal.

We have been coming here for years. But we have noticed some inconsistencies in the last few months. I order the exact thing everytime but it comes different based on who is working. Menu items should be made the same way everytime. Example, One time you'll order something and it will have carrots in it that are diced. The next time you order it the carrots will be julienned. While a carrot will taste like a carrot however you cut it. It's a different experience based on how it is served. Or If you ask for something not to be in a menu item, you get home, you find that what you're crusted? Isn't in there however, something else is added. That's never been in there before, and you didn't request to be added. And because I get the same thing every time. The price should be the same every time, but it's not. They're of a numerous occasions where there has been a three to five dollar price difference and When you say something about it, they say you're wrong. That's the price it's always been. It seems like when the owner is there Things are the way they are supposed to be. But if hes gone, the employees do what they want, not how they've been instructed. If he isn't there we go Somewhere else now.

Flaming Wok is a total gem, seriously. I've ordered Chinese from them a bunch of times and they always hit the mark with the quality. One thing I really dig about them is how they do their chicken at varying spice levels. The “free” chicken wantons were completely dry and burned. Why have a free item with purchase if it’s not easily made/premade? Had I received no wantons I would have been more satisfied. Give people a can of soda with a $25 order and you’ll get order totals up without risking extra disappointment.

Order never arrived. When I called 2 hours after not receiving order they said there was mistake and they would start the order. Hours went by and nothing arrived. Called back again 4 hours after initial call and they said they didn’t get my order even though I talked to more than one worker the previous times i called. Staff is very rude

Ordered the garlic chicken dinner combo meal, did not receive the meal. Also driver dropped order off at the wrong address. Called the store to get a credit for the missing item, was told the manager was busy and would call me back and they never did. I'll find somewhere else next time.

The food is completely horrible. I don't think I ever had worse tasting food. Everything tastes the same like a nasty uncleaned grill. The best part was the fortune cookie. Negative 20 stars. Definitely will never order from here again.

Parked in parking lot. Lady let DOG out front door to do his business...chasing a truck and grab old soda bottle off ground. Lady opened door let Dog back into restaurant. BIG NOPE FOR ME!!

Crab rangoons were cold and almost soggy like they've been sitting out. Chow mein was put in a rice container and spilled all over my bag. Why would you put something that was delivered looking like soup in a paper container? General TSOs chicken was old tasting and cold as well. Also their menu said it came with sauce packets and could get extra for .99.. no sauce came, I would've spent that extra change if it was an issue. So disappointed unfortunately.

if you want flaming wok save yourself $15 and go eat roadkill off the side of the road, basically the same experience. my chicken was raw and rice tasted like sand. egg roll was alright but pretty bland.

First time leaving a review on Google, but my experience with Flaming Wok was so poor I felt it had to be done...

I only got half my order upon delivery (charged in full and everything on receipt correct) and then when I called them immediately they told me their manager would call me back. Waited 20 minutes tried to call back a couple times, but no one answered their phone. Decided trying to call from my wife's phone and they answered immediately, told me the same "scripted" response again about a manager calling me back. Told them I'd wait on line instead, So I did for 10 minutes. They came back on and said they'd have to call me back. I waited a half hour tried to call them back, they never picked up my call again. I was never rude to them, always friendly on phone, all I wanted was my food delivered that I paid for.

Absolutely insane to completely ignore me and just expect for me to be cool with getting only half my order. I will never order their food again and recommend you don't either.

We used to order from her all the time. The food is delicious. The last 4 times we have ordered delivery, however, a portion of our order was missing. This has become consistent enough that we will no longer order from here.

I love flaming Wok, yummy in your tummy! Shrimp fried rice with chicken superb in the shrimp egg rolls oh my God biggest egg rolls around and they are so delicious.

One of my favorite reasonable Chinese food places. Some of the best Chinese food I have had. Although being in the Midwest I can’t speak to authenticity. Staff have always been very nice when I dine in or take out. The dining area needs some work so I recommend getting it to go.

Put in an order for lo mein and beef broccoli. Was charged $25 and only given the lo mein. When I asked for the broccoli beef the owners started yelling at me to get out the of the store. Literally the worst service I’ve ever had over a pickup order. Don’t go here

This place is great great people great food! If you order from a second party and not the restaurant it’s self it’s up to that second party to make up for all wrong not the restaurant itself I do Uber eats through these people and have never had a problem l. Stop being a Karen plain and simple!

Absolutely terrible, we ordered food specifically and it was only two items. We waited almost 2 hours for our delivery and once We got it It was the wrong order, the bag we received it and was completely trashed and disgusting, the containers were poorly closed and the food was disgusting. In our rice we found hair which wasn't ours, not to mention when we had called the number on their seat for the other order a person picked up saying that they had gone hours, our orders were completely mixed up. This is unacceptable I'm never eating here again! Don't waste your time.

Typical Asian restaurants provide portion options as either pints and quarts. I ordered a quart of food which is 32 oz of food. They gave me a 24 oz container, they're not holding up their end of the deal with their portions. Appropriately price and portion your dishes. You're knowingly not providing the customer what they paid for, it's not a good way to do business.

We ordered delivery because we are staying at a hotel, and I am SO glad we did. Everything we got was delicious! Plus, I got a free order of chicken fried rice by ordering through their website.
Note: I see other reviews on here who have complained about delivery, so we must have gotten super lucky, because everything was fantastic and quick.

This is a great side of the highway, satisfy your Asian food craving while on the road kind of place. Dishes were tasty. A little low on beef and chicken in the dishes we choose. Fried rice was not very good. Friendly staff and food was ready very fast.
There is no space to sit and eat inside. Looks like they are renovating with lots of stuff packed in the guest area. Definite grab and go place.

We ordered 3 items and all were awful which has never happened with this restaurant before. The boneless ribs were completely fat, both entrees had almost no meat, were all rice and noodles. I called and they said a manager would call back. He did then said he had to text his boss. No one ever called back. I complained to Eatstreet and they said they couldn't refund the $56. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY and I'll never order from them again.

Ordered from online service at 9:38 pm. Restaurant gave the order to Door Dash for delivery. Door Dash delivered to the wrong hotel.

Called to say I did not get my food. Restaurant said they had to call Door Dash. And would call me back. Door Dash said call the restaurant. It’s now 11:35 pm and I can’t even get a refund???? Won’t be using either ever again!

Ordered at 10:42p. Food was not great and very clearly rushed. Entirely too greasy and the grease was from TWO egg rolls! Egg rolls were so greasy that they were soggy! And only half stuffed. I understand they closed at 11:30p, but if you’re going to rush making the food, I’d prefer you’d just decline my order. $30 down the drain🙄

Ordered the Orange chicken and this is the second time in hopes that the first time was just a fluke. The chicken is the driest chicken i've ever had, its to the point its just chicken shards covered in sauce. Zero pieces of edible chicken in this batch. The pan fried dumplings are not pan fried, they have the same mouth feel as steamed. Are yall not trying the food your serving or whats the problem?

My wife & I have been coming to FW for close to 18 years and have never had a bad experience. The food is always fresh, hot & delish.

Edit: I am not sure what's happened here, perhaps new ownership? Today marks the 1st time I actually need to give some criticism in regards to my experience. 1st: no text that the food arrived so it sat out in the cold. 2nd: food not labeled as I asked (we both had the same thing but one extra spicy and one not). 3) I never thought tofu could be overcooked but ours was so much so we needed a knife to cut it. 4) seasoning, everything was very tasteless, we didn't finish anything.

We have been coming to FW for 20 years (?) This is the first time I felt compelled to add this. I wish them the best, I do, but after today I think we will try someplace else.
