This used to be a great place. Went here 3 weeks ago for a family event and the service was atrocious. The waitress and manager couldn't keep orders straight. We ordered prime ribs. Ten minutes later they came back and said they ran out so some steaks were ordered instead. The meat quality seemed inferior and was somewhat bland and over cooked. People that ordered baked potatos recieved mashed. I don't think they got one order right. They never took dishes off the table. Also, our glasses were always empty. Dissapointed this place went downhill.

Had a reservation for 20, 3 weeks in advance. Manager staffed 1 waitress for our party AND the entire rest of the restaurant. 90 minutes later some people are still waiting on their food. Most things came out wrong and chef has no clue what medium rare prime rib is.

Truly a 4.5 star. Took a while for the drinks to come ( Bloody mary and Blackberry old fashion) but the wait was worth it. Highly recommend either drink. Each had the Ribeye dinner. Came with soup or salad choice of potato as well as side of veggies and a bread basket. Was very good. One steak was a bit more overcooked, but didnt really hinder anything. I do have to say I wasnt a big fan of the garlic smashed potatoes, so I would opt for something else the next time. Staff was a bit slower, but it was very busy so totally expected a delay ( it wasnt very long). Fried mozzarella wedges were a hit ( dip in the ranch for sure (some of the best ranch ever)). Overall a very nice place to eat, I'd highly recommend trying out.

I've been here twice and both times I was impressed with both good food and service. Walleye pike and veggies with baked potato was excellent. And the Chicken wild rice salad with romaine lettuce and toasty croutons with a raspberry ranch vinaigrette was delicious!! I'm also staying in the hotel and I have nothing but good things to say about this place !

Yuk! The taco salad was gross! The lettuce was odd tasting, the meat was cold and greasy, the shell was not edible. The pasta and the veggies for the shrimp scampi was overcooked and tasteless. The side salad was wimpy. The waitress had an attitude and huge nails, which were not hygienic! You are working food service! And then being told that the sous chef was not there and no rolls. Seriously, ask for a replacement, we did and had fries. After I questioned. This was a large group, be prepared! I did not want to pay the gratuity....no way....so disappointed!!!!!! Wow, I had the steak and onion calzone. It was very good. Not very busy and off the beaten path but well worth the trip. Service was very good and has a normal interior but the food is a five. Also have some good tap beer and must have been happy hour as they were only $4/pint. Will make this into a regular visit.

Basic interior, service by Heather was very good but only 2 waitresses with a 60% full restaurant challenged the service. Heather very accommodating and helpful. Food was okay, not bad, not great. Party size of 8 and appreciated that our salads and entrees all came out in rapid sequence. Our group would get the meatloaf and fettuccini Alfredo again but not the grilled cheese, Philly or fried shrimp again.

Matt Lein loves this place! Musky Fest can’t even compete with the fine cooking that is cultivated at this home style cooking restaurant. The service is impeccable. We have stayed at the Flat Creek a number of times over the last 5 years. We have always been happy there (we love their Friday fish fry). On this trip, the front desk, wait staff, food quality, and bartender were again great.
Having said that, I got the feeling that the housekeeping and maintenance staff are not up to the standard of the rest of the staff.
When we went to turn down our bedding to go to bed, we discovered long black hair on the pillows and sheets!!! The only explanation we can come up with is that the bed was made, but bedding not changed after the last guest. VERY disappointing! Housekeeping was gone for the day, so it was not changed until the next day ...
The hot tub was closed, and at least one entrance door has a faulty lock. The restaurant is no longer open for breakfast (replaced by cold wrapped food in the lobby that needs to be microwaved).
All in all, it is a great facility with great food and service staff. I hope housekeeping and maintenence don't ruin it.

The staff seemed annoyed when we asked about seating to accommodate a disability. They had none of the food we saw online before deciding to eat there. They upcharge for bread with $8 soup, dressing for salad or dippi g, probably smiles too. Our waitress, took our cash and while we waited for the change she took others payments, order, and plates. We had to ask another waitress for our change as we waited longer than it took to eat. Unreal ridiculous who assumes they can keep the change, not to mention, it would have been a 27% tip! The staff was friendly, and attentive, but not invasive. We had calzone, beer a tropical sangria. I had special dietary requests and they met them. The calzones were huge, the crust was substantial and baked to perfection. The filling was abundant and flavorful. The marinara sauce was good and the alfredo sauce the best I've ever had! We thought food was average.. we had the Nachos and Jerk chicken fondue, it came with yummy bread to dip in Gouda cheese ( we werent crazy about the texture of the melted cheese though but it tasted good). My son and I had a late lunch here on Saturday. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. I had a grilled chicken breast with veggies and a salad. First the bad, then the good.
Tried to have dinner here the first night of our stay. We sat outside on their deck. There were 3 other couples out there as well.
We watched the servers come and go 4 times without acknowledging us. I understand being understaffed, but a simple " someone will be with you in a minute" is all we need. We walked out.
The last night of our stay we ordered two fish fries to go. They were ready on time and perfectly made. One was broiled the other fried. Lots of extras included and very nicely priced.

I love this place but just went to get some food and the 2 things we love to eat there they took off the menu nachos and calzone's they said it was due to lack of cooks so you can have pizza but no calzone's hmmm and how hard is it to make nachos I ran 3 kitchens in my life and have been short staffed a lot but never made a change to the menu if you ask me the cook that's there isn't worth anything if that person can't cook the whole menu people don't mind waiting for good food

Sat night 6pm, service was slow and apparent with tables around us. The bus person and hostess came to our table three times to tell us service is slow with an apology. Our waitress on the other hand was terrible, she came around the first time after we had sat there 25+ minutes. Our appetizer was overdone and cold.
Our waitress forgot to bring the salad prior to be served the prime rib dinner. The salad came once she realized this and my husbands meal proceeded to get cold while he started with his salad. Food was not hot enough from the start to want to come back and our service experience really wont bring us back. We had to ask the hostess for our bill since our waitress didnt come around following our meal. I mentioned our experience and food quality to the hostess and she really didnt seem to care. We are usually generous tippers and this experience warranted no tip. The other thing I didnt like overhearing and seeing was the hostess offering a recognized local town board member extra food.

Flat Creek is a very nice place to visit. They have a swimming pool that you can go to which also has a hot tub or whirlpool. They have a restaurant you can check out if your hungry it also serves breakfast. The rooms at this place are actually pretty wonderful too. I was quite satisfied during my stay at this place it was pretty fun.

We had a great dinner at this restaurant while staying at the Flat Creek Lodge. The Walleye fish tacos were on the lighter side menu but the fish pieces were very large. I usually do not like coleslaw but there was just enough under each piece of fish to give it extra flavor and a bit of crunch. My traveling partner had the spaghetti and meatballs and enjoyed that very much. The prices are reasonable for a resort town.
** As a side, for those concerned about Covid safety, all the servers wore masks and every other booth or table was seated for distancing safety. Almost every customer wore a mask until their food came to the table. From what we have experienced in other nearby towns on our trip, this was a comforting relief to us.

This place runs a lot of ads on local radio stations so that’s how we heard about it. Convenient location right off of hwy 27. Employees are friendly and immediate seating. There are stories of large parties encountering slow service but my drinks and food arrived quickly.
This place has a stone pizza oven, plenty of seating options, and a nice clean environment. See pics. They have a local brew on tap, Angry Minnow, which was very good. Also surly furious and spotted cow.
Food wise there are a few of each, see pic of menu. I had the flat creek chicken sandwich. It was good but not great. See pics.
Fast free WiFi is a plus, up north here cell service is spotty. One thing to be careful of is that they stop serving at 8PM.
