I found this place on my way to Costco. The name itself sold me, so we decided to try it out.

The staff was very friendly and attentive, From the seater/greeter at the front to the waitress... were all so very nice.

The food came out nice and hot, I had a swiss & mushroom burger (added bacon) and my husband stopped looking as soon as he saw the Reuben.

The portion sizing was very good. And the food tasted amazing. I'm glad I found this spot.

Seriously, we came 3 mornings in a row because of how impressed by it we were. The
french toast is phenomenal.

They make this skillet of scrambled eggs and potatoes with hollandaise sauce with...CHEESE CURDS. I had to get it, and then I fell in love. Felt like a "when in Rome" order but dang, I see why it's their most popular.

Also, shout out to the staff. We had different wait staff each morning and all three were just phenomenal. Everyone was genuinely friendly, like it wasn't fake "customer-voice-while-i-am-here-for-a-paycheck" type of niceties. It was legit, good conversation.
I'm extremely grateful we found flipside our first morning here visiting. I hope we come back soon!!

I usually look forward to coming here, but this time was a miss. We were seated fairly quickly, but the hostess was very rude when we asked if we could possibly be seated at one of the open booths. To add to the frustration the two couples that came in after us were seated in them. After 15 minutes, no one even stopped by to check in, or bring waters. The other people that came in after were already having there orders taken. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else. I’m unsure if we will be be back again.

I felt strange as soon as I walked through the door but I tried to wave it down..then I received my water and I was sure I was in the wrong place. My plastic cup was so damaged with cracks and chips in it. I walked to the restroom and observed other glasses and they looked new. I was the only black person there. I hurried to cancel my meal and alerted the host on my way out. Melonated people be careful, I believe this cup was for us not them so the food, it's sad but some races hate us so bad

Hidden gem!

We hit Flipside after a 4am fishing charter on Lake Michigan. Our server was the sweetest gal and made us feel like family.

My boys and I each had the Butcher Skillet which was out of this world. Their Hollandaise sauce was darn near perfect! I also had a short stack of pancakes that were delectable!

The restraunt itself has a cozy vibe and the men's room was super clean.

I think I found our new breakfast spot after fishing moving forward!

I ordered the corned beef hash with two eggs and English muffin. I cut up my eggs into the hash and had a few bites before my daughter told me.that I had a hair dangling off my fork and food. It was actually knotted in it. It took a while to get my waitress attention while my daughtered to continue to eat. I sat there and ate my toast. Finally I was able to show my waitress and she stopped took out her glasses and inspected it,which I thought was odd, and then took it away. She did not ask if I wanted something g else...after a while my daughter gave me a few bites of her while I had not breakfast in front of me.later the owner showed up and mumbled something and then said that I won't be charged for the hash. Still no offer to order something. We got our bill and they charged me for the eggs and english muffin that I didn't eat because they were mixed in with the hash. I took my bill up front to pay and was asked how everything was. I mentioned my experience and said that I couldn't believe that I was being charged... she agreed and took the eggs and english muffin off. BTW, that was not the first time that I had hair in my hash(who would think that it would happen more.than once. I left hungry.

The place can get crowded but the staff will take good care of you and do their best to be attentive and friendly even while you wait.
