We almost turned to leave as we entered Footbridge. There were dead bugs in the outside foyer and a steong smell of cigarette smoke on entering—apparently from the clothes of previoys patrons. The service was warm, helpful, and friendly. The fishfry was excellent! The coleslaw was so fresh and not too sweet or creamy. The potato wedges and French fries were perfect. But the perch and cod were the best! Perfectly crispy, no fishy taste, & light! We were referred there by a fisherwoman who likes these freshest of fish. Such a good referral! Very Wisconsin. 3 TVs for good bar viewing.

First things first. This place smells awful. Secondly the bathroom was even worse lol. I'm amazed at how many good reviews have been given. Sadly i ordered food already and was starving. But considering the state of the whole place, I can just imagine the kitchen.. had fries and the fbi burger. Fries were good but burger was okay..

We Eat here almost weekly whether dine in or pick up. The food is always delicious! Best grilled chicken sandwich around! The chicken dinner on weekends is amazing too! Can’t forget the great service and chill atmosphere. Thanks Melissa and Jeff for having such a great establishment.

Will not be back. Food was good but seemed like the staff were irritated to have customers. I’ll gladly take my business elsewhere. Edit- We were there around 3:30 on Saturday. The bartender that relieved our server at 4:00 was very nice so we tipped based on her hospitality.

The smell of the carpet is the first thing you notice when you enter, it smells nauseating. This might be overlooked if the food and service were great. The bartender barely brought herself to speak to us, even when we tried to spark up conversation, and spent our entire visit with her back to us, watching a movie. My burger was pretty good but the side of mushrooms were chewy, seemed not fresh. Overall, the smell and terrible service will keep us from going back. There are plenty of good places to eat nearby where the atmosphere and service are inviting.

Time for another one of my reviews....and this is a GOOD one!! So good, that I even recommended it in an article I recently wrote for a national railroad magazine! Why? Because this Footbridge Bar & Grill is right on the old Green Bay & Western railroad line that is now a trail, and I wanted to give people some places to stop and eat or visit when riding or walking the trail. Thus, I think this is a place to go!! It is a little out of the way...just out of Kewaunee. north on County C, but worth the drive. I took family there a couple of weeks ago as well who came from out of the area and they all thought it was wonderful. Let me start with the chili!! YUM!! Now, it is a little different than the typical red chili that many places serve around this region. Different spices, and my guess is there is some beer added, but the flavor, while different, is EXCELLENT!! I would love to be able to replicate the recipe. It has a little kick to it as well. One night I had a very good perch plate, but I have been there at least 4-5 times in the last few months for broasted chicken. My dad is the "chicken expert," and when he raves about it, I know it is good! Crispy outside, juicy inside, not overbreaded...just excellent. I also like the potato wedges with my chicken, with some sour cream. Unlike a lot of places that have GIGANTIC wedges which are often half-done, these are perfect! They are smaller, making them crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Prices are good here, service is friendly and with a laugh. Last time I was there a guy won a jackpot on one of the slot machines and bought a round for everyone in the house! Make it a point to stop here if you are in the area!!

The FBI burger is Very Tasty! My fries were perfect (golden, crunchy, hot, seasoned perfectly), the cheese curds are excellent (white curd, no heavy breading, no oozing cheese from being over-cooked). Prices can't be beat! Really great food for an off- the-beaten-path bar! You need to make a detour if you're in the area :)
