This may as well be a self serve restaurant because the employees sure don’t want to serve the customers. I used to come here often when I worked in the area and the service was much better than today’s visit. The employees were standing by the register talking to themselves for 5 minutes before another employee came out of the back to take my order.

Man oh man. I want to love forage but I have had enough of the mistakes and service, especially at this location. They forget the protein almost every time, which is made worse by the cost of adding protein, and when I say every time I mean every time. This most recent mistake was the last straw. Purchased a club med bowl with tuna poke ($7), and I bet you could guess what was missing in my bowl when I got home. In the past I have ordered bowls for my staff to feed them during orientation, 12 bowls total, 7 with chicken, and all 7 arrived without chicken.

Now let's talk service. I feel like a burden every time I walk through the door. The contempt for the customer is palpable upon entry. I have stood at the counter for 2 minutes without anyone acknowledging my existence. Thank you's and greetings are disingenuous.

That is all I have to say about that. Would love to be refunded for the poke tuna, but I can never get a hold of anyone on the phone.

Disappointed in the service at Monona location. We frequent this spot regularly and the bowls are half filled most of the time. Also we always pay an extra 5$ for protein and sometimes get no more than 1 tiny bit of chicken. Although some of the employees are very good, it always depends on who you get. Lastly, most of the employees are annoyed to have anyone walk into the store. This is not 18$ per bowl service.

Feel bad for entering the store - the employees are usually so upset to see another customer.

I’m hoping the Monona location of Forage Kitchen can take this as constructive feedback. I usually look forward to visiting this Forage when I come from out of state to visit family. I’ve always appreciated Forage’s nutritional food and options. Unfortunately, the employees and atmosphere are lacking at the Monona location. Each time I have visited this location, the employees have been crude and unfriendly to me. The atmosphere doesn’t feel friendly, welcoming or hospitable. Same goes for the employees. I’ve visited Forage multiple times. I decided this would be the last time because of how rudely the employees treated me, yet again. I probably won’t give the other locations a try because of this experience, either. Just left a bad impression on me and my family for the company and how they run their business and who they hire to represent them. Maybe consider teaching your employees some interpersonal communication skills and common courtesy.

Food is delicious. However, beware if you are in a lunch hour time crunch. They will ignore take out orders if customers come in. Planning ahead is futile. Waited more than 40 minutes when we were told 20. No one had time to eat their lunch.

My daughter and I went to lunch here for the first time, and it was absolutely delicious. The only thing I would add is for them to put a sign as to how to order. I have been going to forage for many years. At the monona location there is a relatively new employee who hasn’t a clue what the ingredients are. I got cranberries instead of golden raisins. Arugula instead of romaine. “Forgot” red onions. “Forgot” guacamole on a different bowl. The wrong dressing? The food is good usually but if this young man is working when I go, I will leave.

I've eaten at this location over ten times now, and would recommend it. Forage has been a solid option for a filling, light meal with relatively whole ingredients. In all my visits the only constructive comment I have is that one time I had too much dressing on the salad, but even then it was good. Today my mother and i felt completely disrespected and no longer wish to return. The woman Kennedi who was making our food was very disrespectful to my mother as she politely explained she didnt eat meat. I had to step in and let her know shes being disrespectful. When she made my mother a different vegetarian bowl she barely put any of the ingredients, there was mostly rice. They were very petty to us; although nicely greeting other customers. I am writing this because customer service can make a difference. We will no longer be returning due to the lack of customer service. Im disappointed because we loved the food.

Walking through the door is like walking into heaven! The aroma of this place is as incredible as the taste of their food! I've been to several of Forage's locations and I think this is my favorite. It's usually poppin' at lunch time, but they have ample seating. I love the whole aesthetic of the space. Their salads and grain bowls are top notch - my go to is the Thai bowl. I got the Cashew bowl during my most recent visit, and it was good but the Thai bowl is better. The employees at Forage are always nice and they put bowls together pretty quickly. I love that Forage supports local farms and locally sources their ingredients. Forage is a bit pricey but the food is definitely worth it! 🥗

At lunch I ordered the Buffalo bowl. As I was eating it I noticed that the black rice was tiny and hard. It was not even cooked. I tried to show the worker and all she kept saying was that she was allergic to rice. No one working there would even talk to me or look at it to see the problem. They just gave me a new bowl and walked away. NO, that rice was not cooked either. I have been there many times to know how it should be, but will NOT be returning. They were very rude and dismissing and every table was dirty. There were at least four employees behind the counter so, short staffing did not seem to be an issue.

The food here exceeded my initial expectations. It is flavorful and fresh. The staff is helpful and friendly. My only reason for 4 stars is due to lack of consistency in the creation of the bowls. For example, I always order the power bowl and sometimes I get a large slew of sweet potatoes, today I received approximately 6 cubes. Overall, though, I've come to love this place! Thank you!

The bathrooms were a disaster. There is no way for anyone, including employees, to wash their hands before returning to work. No soap, and many empty soap containers are strewn everywhere. Every trash can was overflowing. It was disgusting. Next time, I will check the bathroom before I order food.
