Where do I begin? Well, with the great food! From the photos online and all of the other reviews, I knew we just HAD to try this place. I've heard so much about it from other folks and figured, it's sad they are closing at the end of December, so why not support a great local business and two great folks who give it their all, Patrick and Katie. When the food came out, it was something you'd see on a Gordon Ramsey show, absolutely fabulous! I ordered a chicken type dish which came with broccoli, some kind of ham and also the best mashed potatoes I've ever eaten in my life! My honey got a pasta bowl with lightly browned shrimp, smoked bacon pieces and peas. The cream in the pasta was to die for, SO SO good, I can taste it right now, just writing out this review. We saw other folks having bread, so we just had to put an order in. The bread was the best bread I've ever tried in my life! It was crispy and crunchy on top, just right. Our final was the donuts. My honey describes them as better than at the county fair, which is a fair statement because they were absolutely awesome! It's so sad to see a great business like this close, but I do hope my post has talked you into checking it out before they close in December 2025. Best wishes to Katie and Patrick. Hang in there!

Best chefs in the state. The sauce kings. Anything on the menu is good. I have never had a bad experience. They set the bar. I've dined at hundreds of restaurants. Anytime I am out to eat with people and they ask how my food is, I more than often say it was average. That is because fox and crow sets the standard in Wisconsin on how good food can be.

I can’t believe I missed this place for over three years. What a great vibe immediately when you walk in. The smells were inviting and the food backed it up. This was our second time to Fox and Crow. It was equally as excellent as our first time. We both had the Scarpriello. Loved it! It does not reheat overly well. Indulge yourself and eat the whole serving at the restaurant. We also had “The Goat Cheese” appetizer. Super good!

Impressive. Fox and Crow has been on our list for a while and we finally did it. We waited way too long to try it… everything was exceptional. Atmosphere was intimate, food was perfectly portioned and service was warm & welcoming. The Blueberry Mocktail was pretty and actually really good, I loved it. Rare in my opinion to find a good mocktail that actually tastes good, my husband said the same about iced tea was really good. For dinner we ordered the crab cakes and the lobster/shrimp risotto. Ohhh they were so good. The husband had the smoked olives small plate also. We loved everything, also our server Erin was great. She was very attentive and friendly. By far my favorite place for fine dining in this entire area of Wisconsin. Fox and Crow was where I spent my first Valentine's Day with my partner, along with every Valentine's & anniversary dinner that followed, topped off with the dinner we had after we got engaged. With the help of some advance planning, this was the bottle they had waiting at our table for us when we got to that dinner, and was the same wine we had shared that first Valentine's dinner together. Just a completely stellar meal. It's hard to pull off really clean, yet exceptionally tasty food these days and Fox & Crow absolutely nails it. They have great service, a diverse yet simple menu, and the perfect atmosphere for a first date, or dinner with the whole family. The cucumber salad was so refreshing, and the walleye was one of the best fish dishes we've had in a long time. The carbonara and the chicken marsala plates were licked clean as well. A great wine list and a nice selection of canned cocktails rounded out the meal nicely. And the carrot cake disappeared in seconds. It's a must try place. Enjoy!

WOW. Unexpected to have this fine a meal in Ripon, WI. Our food was EXCEPTIONAL. My wife and I agreed that this was the best meal we've had since we were in France and Spain two years ago. Dishes were unpretentious but super tasty; portion sizes were just right. Two at our table had lobster/shrimp risotto: perfectly prepared, although full disclosure there was much more shrimp than lobster. I had the walleye (not normally a fan btw) which was grilled and seasoned to perfection and plated atop the most flavor-layered pilaf I've ever eaten. My wife had crab cakes, which, despite being a big order gamble in the midwest, she loved. Our server Katie was impeccably attentive and a killer bartender (servers mix your drinks here). The space isn't very big but 20-foot ceilings and thoughtfully spaced booths helped to dissipate some of the noise. Also we really liked the antique tin ceiling. Can't say enough about this place.

I really enjoyed this place. Food was great. Service was amazing. I had no complaints. I loved both mine and my husbands dishes.
But, I’ve tried calling 3 times every different day to make reservations and i can never get an answer. The online said business hours were open. So I’m not sure. It’s also unfortunate that they don’t do take out. I would like to dine in and take out. Especially being pregnant- sometimes I just want something delicious to take home! Water in your ankles is an actual thing - ligament pains too! LOLOL 🤣❣️

Unfortunately we were seated right by the door on a very cold evening. Our reservation was for 4:15 and we were there a few minutes early. Only two tables were occupied but the server said we couldn’t be moved to another table. I had the tenderloin medallions and my friend had the chicken Marsala. The taste was very good for both dishes but the medallions were more medium than medium rare as ordered, it was also lukewarm as were the potatoes. The broccolini was tasty but cold. It was hard for me to rate 4 stars because overcooked steak and barely warm potatoes would normally be a deal killer for me. But the taste was exceptional so wouldn’t feel right going lower.

Just the absolute best!! Any time we go to Fox and Crow, I am overly impressed by the customer service and personable nature of the staff; as well as the quality of the food. I’ve never had a meal here that I haven’t absolutely loved. And I’ve tried many items off of the menu.. 😆 Last night we ordered an assortment of appetizers that were just phenomenal! My favorites last night were the brussel sprouts, goat cheese, deviled eggs, and the dates! My go to entree is the black truffle sacchetti. It’s just delicious and has such bold flavor! Jaime was our server last night. She was so friendly and welcoming to our group. She was very attentive and always ensured we had everything we needed. My husband and I went to Fox and Crow for his birthday dinner and we were left speechless. Katie (part owner) was our waiter and she was absolutely lovely. For appetizers, we ordered the focaccia, chorizo stuffed dates, and deviled eggs. All were 10/10 but those deviled eggs…. We are still talking about them weeks later! I ordered the carbonara with shrimp which was incredible and my husband ordered the ribeye. The ribeye was cooked to perfection! We finished with the carrot cake which did not disappoint. We also got to meet Patrick (head chef + part owner) and he was incredibly gracious, humble, and so talented! Overall, our experience is something we will talk about for years to come. We will most certainly be back!

The flavors are BOLD. My husband and I have pretty developed palates, so some of the group thought things were *too* spicy or *too* salty, but we were grateful that things weren’t lacking in flavor!

My boyfriend and I had dinner at Fox and Crow last night. It was our first time there. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! We normally don't pick "higher end" restaurants because it can make us feel uncomfortable and out of place. From the moment we walked in the door until we left, we were not only comfortable but felt like we were having dinner with family. Katie was our server and she took the time to get to know us and answer any of our questions.
The food was outstanding! We had two starters before dinner and they were the best appetizers we have ever had. Dinner was phenomenal as well!! Pat has culinary skills that I have never had the chance to experience before! My boyfriend has been to Hells Kitchen for dinner and said this dinner/experience was even better.

The Fox and Crow is home to incredible food, atmosphere and service. We happened upon it on a Thursday night and were blown away by the experience.

If you are a pasta fan, the carbonara and truffle pasta are among the best I've had. The banana creme brulee is also amazing. #1- For kicking the door down in Ripon WI where any style other than meat and potatoes may not fly, credit to you all for getting it.

#2- We've been twice, and amazing how the menu changes EVERY time to give those who want different their satisfaction

#3- Product. Wow. Sure, you order a steak or fish and that is what it is alone. Here? Great quality, BUT! The sauces, marinades, and love that go into every dish are through the rood. Who wants to take a picture of an empty plate, but I should have. Literally every time our plates have been entirely empty with a frantic fork trying its best to capture all the leftover sauce alone.

#4- The staff. All ridiculously friendly and helpful- ready to answer any and all questions and go above and beyond the talk of food to talk of their passion.

#5- Eat there. Make the trip if more than a few miles away from them, and enjoy what they have.

#6- Not a relative or worker of Fox and Crow whatsoever. Family- not by blood, but we sure feel like it every time we visit.

The bacon wrapped dates, pork belly, goat cheese, walleye, schnitzel, black truffle pasta, and chocolate mousse was all cooked perfectly. The textures of everything were spot on. Flavors contradict each other but yet work ridiculously well together. It was well worth the 40 minute trip. We will be back no question. I do recommend going on Resy and making a reservation.

You guys the food here is to die for. It raises the bar so high for any other restaurant I go to. The interior design is gorgeous, Katie designed such a beautiful space. This place has one of the best services we've ever encountered from a food restaurant. My wife is on call and got called into the hospital and they insisted on driving me to a hotel since I didn't have anywhere else to go and I did not have a car. And everyone was very very willing to help which means a lot! Plus the food is really good and my wife liked it reheated. So we had to go back the next day! Overall I would recommend this place to anyone!

I visited Fox and Crow in July, my first night visiting family for a week. And then I went back two more times...and wish I'd gone back even more! It was ALL incredible and impeccable! The food is delicious and artistically presented. The decor is delightful, beautiful, and cozy. The service is top tier; attentive but not intrusive. They have beautifully curated beers, wines, and craft batched cocktails to appease even the pickiest of palettes. The attention to detail is world class from beginning to end.

Started with the stuffed dates. Shared a reasonable bottle of wine which was excellent followed by pasta. The meals were full of flavor , fresh and delish. Did I say fresh. While shopping on Watson St. in Ripon a retailer highly recommended that our group dine at Fox and Crow Bistro. WOW! Was she spot on! Start to finish 5 stars! Our party called ahead the day before for our "plant based" friend and the chef was quite accommodating. We started with the brussel sprouts & papa's they were so delicious we devoured them almost instantly and got a second round of papa's (would have ordered more brussels too but didn't want to be over indulgent 😏). Everyone's entree was beautifully crafted and presented: the schnitzel, carbonara, lobster risotto, and plant based dish were enjoyed by all. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. My parents live locally in Greenlake, and my wife and I are in from the Chicago area. The folks took my wife and I here for my 40th birthday dinner. Holy smokes!!! This place was absolutely fantastic. Katie was our waitress, and such a sweetheart. She knew all the dishes and had really nice recommendations. The table got the 'almost famous pork belly'....well it should be famous, because it was delicious! I myself got the walleye, it had a hollandaise sauce the was killer!! My wife, Tam, and I had a wonderful 10th Anniversary meal here last week. The place was hopping in the main dining room, which is open to the kitchen so you can see the "what's happenins" with the chef and crew. They put us in a wonderful room just off the main room that was quiet, cozy and beautifully done...just like the rest of the restaurant. We asked that our appetizers and shared entree all came at once, because this is how we "graze" and talk about our day. The service was very attentive but not disturbing, the food was fabulous (arugula and beet salad, formaggio di capra, and fresh lobster and shrimp risotto with fresh peas) and the wine list small and well chosen with some uncommon and good wines by the glass. We will be back and we honor the design and menu of this wonderful new Ripon restaurant.
