Custard at drive thru
Our order was ready in a few minutes. They accidentally made one shake into a Sunday. They quickly fixed the issue.
Sort of pricy but custard generally is.

During our most recent visit, a gentleman named Ernest took our order and was the single most polite order taker I have experienced in a very long time! It seems that customer service is falling by the wayside these days, and he was a rockstar. Every time I noticed him, he was hard at work.

Others were standing around chatting while areas of the restaurant needed a bit more attention. Service was ok otherwise and food was hot.

Nothing special about eating here. The food was ok. The hotdog I ordered you could tell had been sitting awhile. Covering it with old chili didn't help the taste any. The fries were OK. At least they were hot. The service was like going to a McDonald's or Burger King. Nothing special. The wait for the food was a little to long I feel for a chili dog, fries and drink. First time here. The burgers were seasoned well. Very small portion of lettuce and tomato, which was kind of disappointing. I wish the online ordering app allowed to specify extra on the portions of each, instead of just add/remove. The fries are like micro shoestrings. They weren’t bad at all but being that it says they’re seasoned, I expected them to have some kind of flavor to them. They were just very very thin fries, didn’t appear to be seasoned at all. I placed our order online and it was ready sooner than expected, so no wait time. Employees were friendly upon arrival. I think for a quick service burger joint, it’s a bit on the pricey side. We ordered 2 combos and it was $37. Maybe going inside and ordering next time, would be better! We’d definitely try it again.

Sort of like Culvers. Smash burgers, cheese fries, steak sandwiches,chicken a d ice cream to finish it off. The food was good. It's not outstanding, but good, especially the burger. Culvers has a bit of an edge, tho. Very busy, which is good. Quick service and friendly staff. I think seating is all booths but plenty of places to sit. The fries seemed to be a bit overcooked but not bad. They are like shoestring French fries. When they take your order, go get your beverage and find a seat,and your number will be announced for pick-up in a separate area a few steps from where you ordered. Not bad,hope you enjoy 😋

Great Food! Good Service- the outside area was quite a mess, wind blowing garbage all over from over flowing cans, tables not wiped off & sticky, told the staff, we got our order, ate inside, and on our way out the door, one of the staff asked us if anyone got our table outside wiped off. First and last time going to Freddy's. I ordered a hot dog, small tots and a lemon cream frost through the drive-thru. First problem and for me a big one, I ordered onions and relish on the hot dog, receipt states that, the little tag on the top of the hot dog box states that, but the hot dog had onions and sauerkraut on it. Not only do I hate sauerkraut, it makes me sick. I can not eat any cabbage products. So that had to be pitched. I was too far from the restaurant when I realized the issue to deal with the traffic and go back.
The second issue is I was overcharged. There is a big sign out by the drive-thru that said you could upgrade a combo and get the Frost for $2.00. I was charged ala carte prices and paid $14.32 (it should have been $10.86) for a hot dog I couldn't eat, a small order of tots and a lemon frost that had zero lemon flavor. I did not realize the pricing issue until I was home. So no, I will never go back.

We ordered at least $60 worth of food. It said on the app it would be done in about 15 -20 min. I came right away anyway. My house is about a 7 min drive to this location. When I got there my shakes were melting. My fries were cold. All my food was cold. The size of this food for the price you might as well go to a really nice grill at a sit down restaurant and get actually quality food for the exact same price. I grabbed my cups to fill with soda and the staff just stood there with arms crossed and pointed with no words or expressions. Totally rude. It was the same thing when I walked in to the place to tell them i had a pick up . Arms crossed, leaned back and she just pointed with a smug look on her face. I did complain about this to management and I got 2 coupons for some money off that I had to use on 2 separate occasions. Not on the same order .meaning I had to spend a ungodly amount of money 2 more times. And what made it worse is that each coupon expired with in 60 days and then the other 90 I believe it was. It may have been shorter. I have 5 people in my family by the time I got around to “ ok lets give freddys a 2nd try” is when i realized we couldn’t use both at the same time and that one had already expired. We could only get ice cream and then still had to pay more money. I will never be back. Gross greasy , small portions, over priced and bad customer service all ways around. I will drive all the way to Oshkosh to Friar Tucks and get a 1lb double burger for $12 instead and they ask how I would like it cooked!

I get home again with tenders for the gf and get yelled at because there is no honey mustard. Odd because they asked if I wanted sauce and what kind.

Last time l remembered and checked the bag and there was no sauce, and the guy at the counter will just point out there are sauces by the drinks. Would give negative stars if I could. Was in on Veteran's Day and received a card for a free combo meal. Told the manager that I don't live near any of these stotes. Today I ate at Freddy’s for the first time. I had their Original Combo, I was impressed! The store was clean and well-decorated. The food came in a basket; the presentation was good. The hamburger was excellent … This is coming from a guy who has had more than his fair share of hamburgers. The fries were small and skinny, but tasted good. The prices were very reasonable.

I did not have the frozen custard. I will be back for another hamburger AND the frozen custard.

This was the first time that my wife and I have visited a Freddy's...but, based on our experience, it will NOT be our last ! I stopped in for dinner last night and both Sid & Susan were very nice to talk with while I was ordering and waiting for my food.

I ordered a Patty Melt but with Pepper Jack Cheese instead of Swiss, and I could hear Sid tell the guy in the kitchen that it was with Pepper Jack instead of Swiss.

I thought that was great communication to make sure that the kitchen knows it's not a "regular" patty melt. I don't get to Appleton very often, but stopping at Freddy's when I do is always a good choice, I never leave hungry or disappointed!

We went to the Freddy's in Appleton, WI, and we will never go back! We each ordered Cheese Curds and drinks with a burger and a Chili Cheese dog. I corrected the order taker when they put fries on one of the orders on the screen. When we got to the window, I watched them put fries in the bag, and again corrected the order. I said I will gladly pay the difference for the Cheese Curds. We waited 7 minutes at the window for someone to address the issue and then were told, "You need to go through the drive-thru again if you want the curds." Disappointed; especially when you come from the land of great custard makers, i.e.,
Kopps, Leons, etc. Runny, milky custard sundaes are not only unappetizing, they are probably a bit of a concern considering that good custard has many eggs, milk body products and other ingredients that do not do well in a warmed and runny state.
And the letdowns continue...
It's new sandwich has some taste available, though you would not know that from the amount of salt that is there. With each bite, always hoping that the sodium aftertaste shall subside, wrong.
