Wait staff was quit to take my order only asking if I want fries or soup. Didn't ask what cheese I wanted or how I wanted my cheeseburger done. I had to request both and she ran to tell the kitchen about the changes because she already put my order in. The place had 11 people so not busy at all. I waited 10 minutes to get my cheeseburger, not a bad wait time except it was not hot. I removed the bun to put on my toppings and they scraped off the American cheese leaving traces of orange then put a slice of fake Swiss on top that was still cold. The tomato was soured but the worse part was the meat tasted like gas. Like they put it in the oven with the pilot light out. After taking off the fake cheese, the sour tomato and the weird tasting lettuce I figured out it was the meat that tasted off.

My boyfriend and I went to eat breakfast. Our serve, a girl named Tara who was nice and sweet till I was looking for cash to tip her. I will always refuse to tip on a card so I was looking for cash. I did not have any cash and I asked my bf of he had some he sad no. Then Tara had to jump in saying that is how she pays her bills which I completely understand but what I was more upset about was she watched every move I made with my wallet and eyeing me up saying wait so your not going to tip me. I don't know exactly who she is but begging for a tip is not part of waitresses.

I stopped for breakfast and it was excellent. Especially the orange juice!
The only downside I could see was the floor needs to be cleaned better and possibly replaced or remodeled! Also the urinal was covered up which caused a little bit of anguish as there's only one bathroom stall.
My waitress was spot on. They service a lot of people here! The place is very popular with the locals.

A decent family style restaurant in a small mall. Stand aline building. Good prices for seniors. Under $13 plus tip for breakfast and pitcher of coffee. Place was highly recommended by a local friend so I stopped on my way home. Courteous staff. It was not busy when I stopped mid day between traditional meal times. I'll return.

This place has got to be under new management or something. By someone who has never eaten at a restaurant id imagine. What a joke. We ordered to go 3 times and sonething is always messed up. Half the order is missing. When you call to try to talk to a manager they say there isnt one here really could you call back in the morning. Sooo... the three high school kids upfront are running tbe restaurant? No wonder Mcdonaldsis the better choice. A year ago loved this place. The last time i was there will definitely be the last time. Very disappointing.

This restaurant has a great down home feel. Very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. All the staff had great and friendly smiles. Food was good and came out promptly. They leave the full coffeepot on your table for self serve. I never like it when I have to constantly ask for more coffee!. The tables and bathroom were spotless. I would also like to point out the servers were done up neat. No sloppy attire or messy or dirty nails. Maybe it shouldn't but that stuff matters to me. Makes me think they love their job and care about giving good service. I will definitely eat here again.

We had a great lunch at friendship house there's also one in our little town so we are very familiar with the fact that they have different kinds of food for all kinds of day. We came in at lunch and they were very busy but they still were able to accommodate the 2 of us in a booth which was great they brought us drinks right away gave us time to look over the menu and our food was ready very quickly which we appreciate. We were not hurried out of the booth even though there were people looking for seats but not urgently. Are waitress was very courteous and we do appreciate that they don't all over the table asking us again and again if we want something as we were talking we don't get to see each other very often thank you again it was in pleasant experience.

This place has really gone downhill. I ordered a BLT with chili, my husband ordered a gyro and we got our baby hot dog and fries. The chili tasted really sour and old. Like it's been sitting out for a while. The fries tasted like they've been sitting in oil. The BLT was dry with 1 tomato and very wilted lettuce. We had to ask our server for utensils and napkins.
I don't know if they have new owners or what but we were very disappointed and most likely will not be returning.

I took my wife and child in to eat tonight, there was a piece of raw chicken on the bottom of my wife's burger. Staff took the plate to the back and it appeared that they just changed the bun out. When we sat down it took a very long time for our server to even greet us. As we were ordering our food, she went to see if there was soup (for us) but then brought another table their food literally in the middle of taking our order. Then she brought my daughter the wrong drink (chocolate milk when my daughter does not eat dairy) and we had to ask the busboy to fix it. I ordered a meat lovers skillet that barely had any meat on it. We asked for a box and the box had a bug on it. I will never eat here again.

Edit 8/2/2024 The watee refill area is a bit cleanwr. Just scuff marks from shoes. The cinnamon french toast is my favorite. I tried one of their new specials, the surf and turf. I am not impressed. The sprimp was dry and tasted fishy and the steak didn't have any flavor. It was about as thick as a breakfast steak. But the tater tots were hot and fresh, and not overly cooked.
Edit 3/4/23: went to eat breakfast today and was disappointed on the cleanliness. It was pretty dirty under our table. I was facing the area where they fill cups with ice water. Below the little trash can the wood and floor around it is black. Mold?? They put in a new wall around it, but stop short in fixing the rest of it. ***We don't eat here often but the food is pretty good. Staff is friendly and the place is pretty clean(not anymore :( ). Good to see they tore up the carpet. (Now they need to keep the floor clean)

My Husband had the Hot Roast Beef sandwich, which came with mashed potatoes and brown gravy. He said it was very good and the meat was really tender. Since it was Friday, I tried the Senior Friday fish fry, which consisted of 2 pieces of fried fish, a small cup of Cole slaw, a slice of bread, and choice of soup, salad, or potatoes. I chose the clam chowder. When we were checking out, I noticed the dessert display, and everything looked yummy. I told my Husband that we would have to come back sometime just for dessert.

Friendship House was a quaint little place to go a grab a bite to eat. The staff was very friendly, and the food was very good! Something I thougt was nice is that they offer all day breakfast, I didn't get that, but I thought it was a nice option to have. I was by myself, but it seemed to be a great place to bring family and friends and enjoy a nice meal together.

They have significantly reduced the size of their menu, so you'd think they'd make sure that the items available, are really good.

I am only giving the service a 1 star because, our server was absolutely horrible. She originally ignored us, and then when I asked for our server, and she came around the corner, she had an attitude because I asked her to wipe the nasty counter down (before taking our order) (someone else's coffee, syrup, crumbs from the person before) she got super short and treated us horrible the rest of the time. She never checked on us until AFTER I said something loud enough for another worker to hear. We visit Rhinelander quite often, but I won't go back there because she didn't even deserve the tip that was left. I work in the restaurant business and would never name her as my Manager. She brought my breakfast experience to an all time low. The sad part, everyone else was lovely, and my food was delicious (I had the country fried steak)..I'm not gonna say her name, but she knows who she is. 😐🤔😕

The restaurant is very clean (including the restrooms) and bright. The outdoor area is beautiful, though we ate inside.
