Been coming here for about 5 or so years, always love the food! CHECK YOUR RECEIPT after they run your card. Our server just ran my card for $1,130.35, our bill was $110.35! I bring my receipt up to have them fix it and the first thing the woman at the counter says is "He did it again??" before going to get someone to fix it while making a "joke" about how she couldn't believe it wasn't declined. They run the refund and say "it'll be back on your credit card in a few days". This isn't a credit card, this is my debit card that I pay my bills with. Barely any sort of "apology" no apparent remorse, just "it'll be back on your credit card in a few days". Absolutely unacceptable! If I stole $1,000 from someone it wouldn't matter if I gave it back "in a few days", I'd still have to face the consequences. Especially if I did it at my job.. And her making the comment about him doing it AGAIN shows that it's a reoccurring issue that clearly isn't being addressed or corrected. He should've been fired on the spot! Now I just have to hope that my bills don't hit before the money is returned.....

Not my first visit, and won’t be my last!! Absolutely amazing engagement, huge smiles on staff, extremely friendly and everyone is included. This is by FAR THE BEST hibachi grill in Wisconsin. Food is AMAZING, meat is tender and vegetables have wonderful taste, full of flavour. Great performance, truly! Thank you to this young man who made our day! I recommend the Filet Mignon from the hibachi grill menu, great portion size and the miso soup. Mandatory 20% tip but it is WELL WORTH THE TIP!! ♥️

If your going to sit at the hibachi table you will need half people eat hibachi and half eat sushi. There was a couple on their website that give 10 percent off and u need to print it to use it. I am out of town and we had to fight to give us 10 percent off. We will order a lot of stuff and they don't give us that discount. We finally got it. The hibachi chef was pretty good and foods came out pretty fast. The sushi and sashimi came pretty fast. However at the end they are like rushing us to leave they gave out the take out box and bags. Probably try another place if i come back here again

I have had multiple bad experiences but kept thinking I’d try them again. Service is slow and sometimes the sushi isn’t quite right, and you can’t sit at the sushi bar unless your 6’ 5” or the counter comes up to your armpits. One time I arrived 30 minutes before close and they already had the sushi lounge cleaned with all chairs up and wouldn’t let me order sushi. All relatively minor stuff and it never rose to a level of complaint, although I did have to send a salmon skin hand roll back once and had them take it off my bill. Yesterday two of us spent about $85 sitting in the sushi lounge and I asked for a box for the half or better portion of my $27 meal. We left at 6:33 and I dropped of my companion before realizing that I left my box behind. I called at 7:25 and they had already thrown it out. So I called today to speak with the manager, Andy. He told me that since I left it they thought I didn’t want it, even though I had just asked for the box and I had so much food left that the box was full. So I lost about $15 worth of food. If it had been just a little snack left, I wouldn’t have even bothered calling, but that was a lot of food wasted. My fault for leaving it, I had just had an outpatient surgery and wasn’t in my right mind, but they could have offered to make me a small portion of the poke bowl I had ordered yesterday. It would have been nothing for them to do this, and kept a customer, instead he blamed me for leaving it behind. He didn’t even ask what I left behind or why, he was just bored with the whole thing, said he could not do anything for me, and clearly wanted the conversation to be done. There are many Japanese restaurants in the Milwaukee area and I look forward to trying them!

Hibachi is also fantastic, but a bit noisy.

Terrible meat portion sizes. Paid $30 for a bunch of noodles and vegetables. This place used to be so good. I barely got any steak or shrimp because the chef kept giving people the wrong thing. And when I asked for more meat I was ignored and laughed at. Terrible service. Terrible management. Didn’t even get a hibachi show, the chef said 0 words and didnt put on a good show whatsoever. These people are crazy here I went in for a quick meal the food was not bad I just had hibachi dinner and a water. As I was leaving the person that served me ran after me and basically forced me to write down a tip. I was very confused he was like "tip" "tip" "tip me" "you need to tip me". Is it new owners? The waiter spilled half of the tempura chicken sauce on our table. He didn't clean it or give us extra napkins to clean it. He just places our order on top of the spilled sauce. The three people with me each ordered a roll and it was all served on the same plate. Two out of three of the rolls was raw and the one cooked roll was for a my friend who was pregnant. We couldn't find the waiter to get that corrected. My pregnant friend ended up have just the miso soup. The only time we saw our waiter was when we ordered, got our food, then our bill. I wouldn't recommend this place anymore.

I'll put this review in 2 main sections and a final note of food and service and then other things that don't fit into that category.

First off the food at best was mediocre, and that's generous. tuna amazing roll is what I got it the fish didn't taste fresh, very bland pale looking even the rice tasted just bad.
My mom got the angry bird roll and spicy
scalop roll.
For starters the angry bird was mushy and fell apart when my mom got it in her mouth she didn't hate it but wasn't impressed.
The spicy scallop roll that my mom got we actually never ended up getting it. We got something else but my mom didn't want to complain so she ate it anyway. It was super oily gross and besides the oil didnt taste great the presentation wasn't appealing in the first place.

the Pepsi tasted weird and when we ordered it it came out right away like it was already sitting out. I got a Thai tea Boba to start but there what to much of the actual mix and was potent as all hell.

The service was horrible we were not checked on once besides when we ordered food which also took way longer then it should have considering we were the only ones there and we ordered a few things. The waiter barely acknowledged our complaints and when we exchanged my drink for a Pepsi that again tasted like it was sitting out, it wasn't taken off the bill we had to ask for it specifically to be taken off as well as my mom's scallop sushi.

Final note.
We use to come here alot (my mother and I) we were a regular customer for years and we recognized the change of staff which might be the issue. Also I remember now that I ordered tamago sushi, 1 order I'm not sure if 2 come in an order or not that's just what I'm use to but I only got 1 this time around. This place was once wonderful it's a shame it's gotten so bad. We went to a Buffalo wild wings got some BBQ chicken much better diffrent but i couldnt even finish my meal to be full. There's a cool fish tank at least thank God dory from finding Nemo was still alive.

Upon entering, you are greeted warmly and accomodated in a beautiful restaurant. I saw many customers that staff know by name. They have a gorgeous fish tank to entertain you, and a sweet woman I didnt get her name was educating me and showing me some of her favorite in the tank. And the food….I got takeout and paid for a Tofu Teryaki and a sweet potato roll and imagine my surprise getting 5 containers of food. $26 for a ginormous box of delish tofu teryaki, miso soup, rice, house salad, and Sweet potato roll. An absolute treasure and a bang for your buck. Unfortunately, I am from miami and dont have this place there because it would be my favorite spot.

Went there last Friday for my dad’s birthday and was extremely disappointed, they made my dad’s birthday a bad night. We saw they close at 10:30 so we went there like at 9:15- 9:20 (we couldn’t make it earlier) and as soon as we went it, the staff gave us the worst look ever. Then as soon as we sat down the server came and said “are you ready to order because we are closing soon” and stood there and rushed all of us to order and didn’t give us time or space to think about it, he didn’t leave till we all order. We told them it was my dad’s birthday, the website says let your server know it’s your birthday and that they do a couple things for that, they didn’t do NOTHING for us. The chef was amazing, kind, and fun and gave a us a whole show… but as soon as we were eating the server came and asked if we needed boxes and then the staff started to put all the chair up next to us. We had to leave, and it wasn’t even 10:30. I was at my house already before 10:30. If the staff wants to go home earlier maybe change the time in google maps instead of be rude and ruining the customers nights.

My husband and I were excited to check out Fujiyama for date night, as neither of us had been there previously. The restaurant is divided between a more animated side for hibachi (fun), and the dinner side for sushi. There’s also a beautiful fish tank at the front door to greet you. We were seated promptly by very friendly wait staff. The menu is pretty expansive and offers lots of tasty maki rolls and entree choices. We loved our food! Now on to the unhinged circus tent. The other diners were absolutely chaotic, loud; there was one couple about to get into a yelling match, and directly behind us was the loudest family I’ve ever encountered in public. None of the adults seemed to be bothered by kids watching a tablet at FULL VOLUME and banging on the table and crawling around the booth bench. I mean, I know this is West Allis, but come on.
