When you want good ole down home cooking you drive to where you know it's guaranteed. I live almost 2 hours south of G&G Diner but I've made the trip many of times just for the food. It's definitely a struggle to stay awake on the drive back home on a full stomach but it's worth it every time. It's probably a good thing I don't live near by cause I'm sure I'd be on the next episode of my 600 pound life!!

Oh my! Our group of 4 will be referring to this diner for a long time! We would never have happened upon this place with Google maps, but what a find! Once we entered, we were told to sit wherever we wanted; Gayle came over with a welcome and menus before we even sat down. We chose our meals - there are plenty of choices from breakfast, burgers, salads, "sammiches," and more. All of us thoroughly enjoyed the generous portions and taste of our lunches! However, the highlight was the lemon blueberry pancake! Oh my goodness, I'm sure these are served in heaven! Sweet, but not too sweet; and it's huge, so we were happy to have ordered but one... Gayle was a delightful server (and owner, she's one of the G's). We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend dining at G & G Diner! We are visiting from our of town and we've already started making plans to stop here again on our way home!

Everything about G&G is great! We recently moved into the area and the consistent, reliable quality of the total meal experience has made it our go to eatery, hands-down. Everyone we have to visit gets a pilgrimage to G&G if there is time and they have all agreed. The food is great, with respectable portions at a good price. We have had a good sampling of the menu over the past several months and there really hasn't been a disappointing meal. The bought-in stuff is quality and fairly limited, which is the mark of a great diner, but the food they make is top-notch. I can rave about this place all day, but let's keep it short and say that the only thing to watch out for us that it is a small diner in a tiny town in an area with limited venues, so if you come when it is busy you can expect a wait since they are not in the habit of sacrificing quality for speed.

We stopped in for breakfast on a Sunday while passing through town. Friendly service immediately greeted us and found us a table. I had the country style steak with eggs and my husband had the classic breakfast combo #1. Everything was delicious and portions were generous! We agreed that they do have the “best pancakes in the north woods.” The servers were very friendly and prompt.

Me and my partner were visiting the area (staying in Athelstane) and on our way up to Long Slide Falls we stopped here for lunch. I ordered the Reuben with side of German potato salad and my partner got the crispy chicken tender sandwich with a side of smoked Mac n cheese. We shared our entrees with each other. All the food was well prepared and delicious! The sauces for the sandwiches tasted homemade, bread was toasted nicely, the mac n cheese was creamy and had a beautiful, natural smoke flavor. German potato salad excellent! A cute little up north country diner with tasty eats✨️Next time I'm in the area, I will definitely stop back here to eat.
*EDIT* At the end of our 4 night stay, we stopped back for breakfast on our way home and again, very delicious! Portions very generous, we ended up taking the leftovers and finishing them once we got home. This will be our spot to eat when we visit Marinette county!

We were just here yesterday under the new owner. She has owned it since July 2022.We were acknowledged right away and she also took our order Within minutes, food came out fast, super hot and super delicious. I was really impressed.
