Stopped in for brunch. I thought everything was made particularly well. We were greeted with free cheese curds since the brewers won. The Benedict was amazing. Food was ok, comes quick! Quality iffy, super greasy- layer of grease on plate - fries were fresh cut but not cooked completely, and grease with no flavor even after adding salt. I specifically said Well done for my burger, it was super pink - that i was not going to finish it. My husband rather enjoyed his burger - so its preference. The place is kind of hidden off the main path, but easy to get too. Walking in up beat loud, we had brunch on a Sunday, music was kinda loud, several tvs going - so a for sports bar it rocks, but to sit and have a nice lunch to have meeting of the minds not so much...Great Service! On top of keeping our table good! A lil over priced for the quality in my opinion..

Alright, so I flew in from Phoenix AZ for the NFL draft in GB. Obviously had no idea what to look for or where to go. So, drove by saw Gabe’s walked in and WOW. Was told by a lot of my friends to try cheese curds from Wisconsin. So I did, and WOW. Ordered the Jordy Burger and again WOW. Perfectly seasoned and cooked exactly how I wanted it. We stopped on a whim as we hadn't been here before, and boy are we glad we did.

The Western Brisket Sandwich is probably the best sandwich of its kind I've ever had. The flavors of the smoked brisket, smoked bacon, haystack onions, cheese, and just the right amount of sauce was simply amazing. Juicy enough in every bite with almost no sloppiness. We can't say enough about it! 10/10 would get again.

The Beer Can Chicken Wrap very good, but the chicken was a bit dry. The excellent flavor from the smoky ranch definitely helped and beought the flavor way up. Its listed as spicy ranch, but was more smoky than spicy which was fine by us.

The pork belly bites were ok, but would benefit from some kind of dipping sauces. Fries were good and flavorful but could have been a little warmer. Some were definitely too cool.

Service was fast, friendly, and prompt. Portions were just right to fill us up. We will absolutely be back and bring friends.

My wife and I tried this out for the first time. We would rate it higher if we could. Place was unbelievable!! Food was so flavorful, filling and light. The Bloody Mary was one of the best I’ve ever had. Waitress was so friendly, helpful and caring. They also have family friendly events as in bingo, music, packer games, trivia and meat raffles. Will definitely become regulars here. Can’t wait to go back and watch the packers play the eagles tomorrow!

Don’t get the Nutella stuffed French toast!!! There was nothing stuffed about it. It was two large chunks of French bread standing on end with watered down Nutella drizzled over the top. I’ve never seen French toast like this and will never again because we won’t be back. This was very disappointing since this what drew me here in the first place. The “hash” was a clump of soggy undercooked French fries with nothing else like onions…, nothing like “hash” I’ve ever had either. I was embarrassed since I was the one who chose this place for my friends to meet. No one enjoyed their meal except for the one person that ordered the traditional eggs, bacon and toast. Their toast looked like it would have made an excellent French toast.

Unfortunately spent over $80, and food had to be thrown out. Some of what we got was the pork belly sliders, very tough and had no flavor. So plain, and unpleasant to chew it was $16. Got the pork belly pasta, the pasta all stuck together in one chunk and not edible and it came with two pieces of pork belly and they had a literal pig nipple- check the photos. Completely took our appetites away. And we also got the apples stuffed pork. The meat was off putting, and unfortunately the whole meal ended up getting tossed.

Stopped in last night for dinner sat at the bar. The bartender was awesome. She was very helpful and attentive. Unfortunately we both ordered the French onion. It was unbearably salty. We also got the fish fry. The walleye was decent. A little overpriced for the size. The perch was very dry and very fishy. Unfortunately the sides were not much better. Green beans were flavorless and the fries were mushy and greasy (slightly cold). I definitely would not recommend going here for a fish fry. I've been here multiple times before for the regular menu and have had good food and a good experience. I don't know if it was a bad night for them but we ended up leaving hungry and making dinner at home. Maybe avoid the Friday fish fry.

I ordered the all you can eat fish fry, the fish was good, I had all 4, the potato pancakes are good, but the fries are wack. Soggy and cold. We asked the waitress if the nachos were good and jokingly pressed for an honest answer. She said yes but a lot of people order extra queso. She wasn’t kidding, the nachos were terrible, the shredded chicken was cold and in huge chunks, the lettuce was huge chunks of iceberg lettuce, the chips eventually got soggy but not in a good way, and it wasn’t worth picking at any more.

Tonight was our 1st visit to Gabes and from the moment we walked in I was impressed with the decore and ambiance. The restaurant (and bathrooms) were very clean, the staff was welcoming and attentive, and the food was delicious. My husband had the walleye, I had the French dip, and my son had the prime rib (and cheese curds). This is not your typical sports bar when it comes to the food. It surpassed all of our expectations! Our garden salads had all the fixings, the brussels sprouts were grilled perfectly, and all of our main dishes were made exactly as we requested. Food was the right temperature and seasoned well (not too salty!). Hats off to the cook and to the entire staff for making our 1st trip to Gabe's a great one! We will definitely be back.

This place was an absolute rip off. I got a southwestern salad with the beer can shredded chicken on it ($18!) and there was one one tablespoon each of black beans, pico, and guacamole. Zero substance at all and to top it off the lettuce was wilted and had black spots. The chicken was also dry as hell. My husband got the Father’s Day special brisket which was so dry he had to add ketchup to it, we ordered it medium rare and it was gray as hell, they obviously scorched it on a griddle before serving. The service was slow and no one even checked on us after the food arrived.
We were just traveling through and will tell our local friends to avoid.

My meal was so underwhelming and unsubstantial I actually left hungry and furious (obviously).

I cannot even recall the last time I have been to a restaurant that was such an epic disappointment. I feel absolutely ripped off.

They tried something with the gravy and it just doesn’t work. It’s gross. Gabe’s Benedict was alright, wish it was hot but I can live with that. French toast sticks were raw. They were nice to try cooking them again but still raw.

Very good food! Great offerings for people on keto which I appreciate. My husband got the curd burger which he really liked, French fries were hot and delicious.
I got the beer can chicken wrap as a lettuce wrap. The chicken was flavorful- the only thing I would do differently next time is ask for ranch on the side as the spicy ranch was lost and I did not taste it.
Great selection of holiday drinks- we weren’t drinking today but will absolutely be back to try some of them along with other food options. Prices are fair for the quality of food.

Have been here a handful of times and had really good food (shrimp and prime rib meals). This time we ordered the ribeye steaks and we were disappointed. I don’t recommend this place to my dog. We had a party of 14, with 4 kids. We were the only table there at this point. First off, the sodas were pure syrup and after I asked our server to tell them that the CO2 needed to be changed she seemed to get an attitude from that point on. She brought fresh ones after 20 minutes. All of our entrees were cold. A grilled cheese sandwich that was black with cold fries. Fish was greasy and riddled with bones to which she replied “all fish have bones.” Pulled pork sandwiches were cold. Carrots had no flavor and were also cold.
We asked for sliders instead and they were barely warm. None of us finished our meal because it wasn’t worth waiting for fresh food as we had already been there 1 hour and got cold food. We were very disappointed with this place! Our bill was over $250.00 and they only took off the 2 fish that we sent back AND then were charged for the sliders. After speaking with the manager they were not going to take anything else off. Will never go back again, poor customer service and poor management of staff. I would have gotten a better meal from fast food, at least it would have been hot. Don’t waste your money here.

Went for my bday dinner with a couple family members and sat at the bar for a bit and great bartenders, didn't need to wait for a new drink. Great selection also. Got a table as soon as we were ready and waitress was amazing and appetizers and food was amazing!!!

Cool place. Didn't know it was even there. Hiding behind Walgreens. Went to try the prime rib. The green beans where raw but fresh. Potato was good. Prime rib. 6oz was fantastic perfect cooked. The other 10oz was fat or way to salty. Other half had a burger and fries. Fries were so mushy/limp. Worst then McDonald's. The burger was bland dry and sad. Not a good first visit. Hoping the fish fry is better.

I had an exceptional experience tonight at Gabe’s. The place is cozy and modern for decor. The bar had a great selection of drinks. This evening I had their Fly in Feature. This had a slab of swordfish, scallops on a bed of risotto. They also had a great stuffing that came with it. This was prepared excellently. My wife had the 8 ounce Perch plate. The perch was delicious and the cold slaw was great! We were served by Cally who did an exquisite job of serving and keeping us in drinks! Definitely an excellent choice when in Oshkosh.

Today was our second time coming here and it was amazing once again! We get the bluegill and it is cooked perfectly and seasoned great, my new favorite friday dinner spot. Our server was Kaylee and she is super friendly, so kind to our kiddos and checks in a good amount of times. Highly recommend her and this restaurant!

Terrible experience at this restaurant. If I could give zero stars, I would have. The service was the worst I've had in years, the food was terrible, cold cheese on the nachos, no salsa for the nachos in a restaurant that also serves tacos and burritos. We asked to upgrade the side of fries to onion rings, which the server said she could do and then we were charged $10 for the 6 onion rings we got. A full order of onion rings is $11. The manager apparently had put in the charges for our table while he was sitting at the bar. The place wasn't busy on a Sunday at lunchtime and I can absolutely see why. We will never be back. Definitely don't recommend this place. We had a lot of other great dining experiences in the area in Oshkosh and Appleton. Feel free to check out my other reviews for great places to eat.
