This place is hard to beat and was only about a 1-2 minute walk from where I stayed. Had to wait a bit for my food since it wasn't posted online that they open now at 8AM and the grill wasn't fired up yet, but it was well worth it. Try the steak and eggs!

Filled the cycles with fuel, so needed some go juice for the body. Found this located in downtown Eau Claire as we rode through town. Found some free street parking right in front of the restaurant. Lunch menu was geared to burgers and a few other items, so we went with a Galloway burger and the other one had pulled pork with a patty. Both were cooked to order and came with a side. I upgraded to a side salad- trying to improve my diet! Nicely prepared salad with Romaine lettuce and other veggies. My burger was cooked a perfect ‘medium’ with just enough light pink color. My buddies -pork and burger mix was a wholesome meal. All the necessary condiments were on the table to serve yourself. Restaurant decor had a bunch of old signs and historical artifacts. Made the place fun to view while awaiting the food. Staff was super friendly and attentive, so would definitely stop here again on my next ride through Eau Claire.

I live in Arizona, but am originally from the area and stopped into eat before I went home today. It’s so nice to see this place completely rebranded and looking so iconic. The manager Olivia has done a great job with the staff and service, and the kitchen manager Shane has done an EPIC job on the menu. We tried the Nashville Hot Chicken fries (amazing) and I did a signature chopped cheese which I hear Shane is pretty passionate about. Top that off with a “Woo Woo” drink to take the edge off from the weekend, and I was set! Come check this place out and keep it going!

Cannot recommend this place any less to anyone that is looking for a good restaurant OR looking for a good serving job in downtown Eau Claire , not only is their food extremely sub par, the new management is quite lackadaisical and does not treat their staff with respect. When you come in, credit card tips given to a server will not be given to them right away and are then withheld until the next payday (Servers are working solely for daily cash tips essentially) Food is very inconsistent, food menu has very little to no vegan / vegetarian / gluten-free options. Drink menu lacks in creativity and also made inconsistently due to lack of training bartenders. Many building problems as well such as leaky ceilings when it is raining outside, and overall the systems put in place at Galloway Grille are not very efficient or sanitary.

First time back after their reopening and it was wonderful. Arriving in the early afternoon on a Monday to be greeted immediately by the bartender. Had a spicy bloody and a water. Kerstyn the bartender quickly returned with our drinks and asked if we were ready to order. We ordered the Kicking Goat Burger with curly fries and an order of wings with buffalo sauce and blue cheese dressing. Didn’t notice any other patrons inside but again not a peak time. A fee employees started arriving for their dinner shifts. All were dressed neatly in black pants and black Galloway Grille golf shirt. Shortly after Kerstyn brought out our food which upon first glances looked very appetizing and smelled wonderful. We shared the burger cutting it in half to find a beautifully cooked and juicy burger. This burger had bacon grilled jalapeños and a crusted smoked goat cheese. It was delicious! Sorry no picture; just have to trust me on this one. As for my wing they were presented nicely in a bowl perfectly dressed with just the right amount of buffalo dressing. This buffalo dressing was probably the best I have tasted. Their blue cheese dip was very good as well with lots of blue cheese chunks. I would definitely put these wings among the best in Eau Claire. Don’t miss out and give Galloway Grille an opportunity to impress you as it did us. 👍

The biscuits and gravy was more like a sloppy joe over biscuits. The french toast was good .
Very little push back when I asked to have the biscuit and gravey removed from my bill .
I think a menu with descriptions on it would go a long way to keep this confusion from happening again .

Unbearably long wait for food. When food finally came it was the wrong dish. Sad part is they aren’t even busy. Tons of promise but awful execution. Got the Rueben omelette. I was in Eau Claire from out of town and needed to attend a webinar online for work, beginning at 10 am. I was headed to a Caribou Coffee, but Galloway Grille came highly recommended from some locals. I decided to give it a try and arrived 20 minutes early for my webinar. Internet showed as being at full strength. A few old timers sitting at the bar greeted me, but staff was nowhere in sight. A sign said "please wait to be seated", so I did. Eventually I just grabbed a table of my own. The coffee was good, the Bloody Mary hit the spot, but the Internet was non-existent and the one person working basically shrugged his shoulders. I missed my webinar, but had a good Bloody. Next time I'll go to Caribou.

Nice charm, good-sized menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Decorated well and clean. I cannot vouch for the food, but don't come for the Internet if you have something important to accomplish.

This is a tougher review to write. We were there on a late Sunday afternoon when they weren't all that busy. We were greeted warmly and seated right away. Our waitress was new and it seemed that she wasn't getting the support at the bar that she needed. There was a long delay in getting our drinks. To the point that we wondered if we should go to another place for food.

In the end, we ordered and received our food in a reasonable amount of time. The food was quite tasty and they had some unique offerings.

A few years ago, I would have rated this place much higher. But it feels like it's gone downhill. Of the last several visits, it's been rare to get both good food and good service.

Staff often seem stressed, confused, or both. I used to love their Bloody Mary, but lately, they're so salty that they're practically undrinkable. Food is often a long wait, only for it to be burnt to a crisp.

Tried this place again after 2 years. Worse then EVER. DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!

Must have a new cook or something. Went in Friday for fish and the fried fish was over cooked and the pan fried fish was under seasoned. Also the “buffalo chicken sandwich” is not worth the money. It’s two TINY most battered chicken strips on a soggy bun with soggy lettuce and no buffalo sauce.... there was literally more lettuce onion and tomato on it then chicken. Usually would recommend this place but clearly something major has changed. I’d look around or be careful what you order. Burgers have always been great but scared to go back with the recent change in food. One time I was here and the waiter literally left and never came back a bartender had to take care of us. Haven’t seen him back though.

A “side” of veggies was literally to small pieces or zucchini. A kids meal side of fruit was literally a half an orange that where dried out and not edible.

Visited again recently...STAY AWAY FROM THE STEAK SANDWICH. They use literally an entire raw onion and old chunks of fatty steak. Pan fried walleye was good though atleast!

Hidden gem. Such great food and service. Bloody Mary’s are wonderful, don’t often find them with pickle juice which is how I like them Bourbon old fashioned had muddled cherries and oranges and was delicious. Moms Rueben was great, fries were crunchy as she ordered them. I had the Buffalo chicken wrap which is always good and they happily substituted the grilled chicken for tenders. Mom said it was the best Rueben she has ever had. Bummer we weren’t here for breakfast as they had a portabella Benedict special that looked awesome.

I've had it a few times and always liked it, but last time I went the food was sub-par at best. My appetizer was burnt (bruschetta), the bacon on the blt was pretty much inedible, it was hard as a rock yet chewy at the same time somehow? And all the food was just flavorless. It wasn't good at all. The one waiter was extremely busy with other customers so I didn't even get a chance to see if my food could be replaced/comped, however the waiter was very professional otherwise so that's why my rating is a 3/5 stars.

One of the worst restaurants in Eau Claire. I tried this place again for the first time in years. I was disappointed then and now. We ordered the bruschetta and spaghetti. The bruschetta was hardly edible, with large unripe tomatoes, white onion and drenched in balsamic vinegar— served on cold toasted sourdough. We sent it back, which we never do, and the manager stomped over “why did you send it back?” I explained it didn’t meet my expectations of what I know bruschetta is. She didn’t say a word to me, but went to the kitchen and loudly asked “do we ever use red onion for bruschetta?!” Which was heard throughout the restaurant. She never followed up with us and was rude the remainder of our meal. The spaghetti was edible, hardly.

I've known about this place since it started up and have absolutely loved the food and the atmosphere of the restaurant. The variety of seating has had my family and friends in for large or small gatherings. We like the large cozy booths or sometimes the high bar chairs, and enjoy the formal seating in the back dinning room.

Their food tastes fresh and I love the variety of American style food and appetizers that they have. For example, they once had Bratwurst Bites (cut up brats breaded and fried) I'm not sure if that's the current selection but it was very delicious! Cheese curds and fried mushrooms are great!

Their house salad dressing and home cook potato chips are amazing.

The entrees are nicely plated and have satisfying flavors. The burgers are juicy and have fresh toppings. Order a beer or pop to go with!

The restrooms are a tight squeeze but are well kept.

It was 3o'clock when we finally found a place open on Mondays. Just about to give up when we noticed this tiny restaurant with an open sign on the sidewalk. The staff was super friendly and efficient. Granted, we were the only ones there, with a trainee handling the bar and a trainee took my order. They did an excellent job. AND THE FOOD WAS SPECTACULAR!!! Vegetarian daughter ordered the grilled cheese w/o bacon and it was huge. I ordered a chef's salad that had just the right amount of meat and cheese. YUM! I also got to try my first deep-fried pickles. Okay,not to my taste though.
Our bill was less than thirty dollars w/three drinks from the bar. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Had kind of gotten used to the service and food here being so-so over the years but my last visit was excellent. The staff went above and beyond to make me a true Irish coffee, which I wasn't expecting at all (I had no idea they're not just Irish whiskey in your coffee personally). While to them they were just doing their jobs and probably hated making whipped cream on the fly for what I didn't realize was going to be a kind of complicated cocktail, I really appreciated it, and how pleasant their service was overall. The food and service there was outrageously good. We had a waiting time, which is not unusual oh, and they kept us very well informed of everything. When they thought that we weren't going to be able to get a table because they were so busy, they are stress if we wanted to eat at the bar. Yesterday my friend and I went to Galloway which is a favorite of ours. We noticed right away they were busy with no AC- so our expectations were gentle. I realized at the end of my meal, hair in my food. Brought it up to our server who said she’d talk to her manager, but asked if I wanted a box first... for my hairy food..... when I got my receipt and still saw a balance under “$4 off for hair in food”🤢 asked to speak with Sarah the manager who laughed about it and bent over, got in my face and said “hunny.. you ate the bacon, didn’t you?” I could go on and on about this terrible service that led to us NEVER going back.. long story short if you’re looking for a good place to eat! Coming into Galloway expecting to enjoy breakfast and bloody Mary's, yet left without either due to an incredibly rude assumed manager. We had arrived and were told we would be able to squeeze 6 into a booth by one very nice hostess, and after 5 minutes a different woman flipped the script. She was badgering us that it was impossible to make a party of 6 work because they were understaffed and only had 1 cook. This woman has a reputation of being incredibly rude to every person who walks in the door. The single star rating is purely for the food when you do eventually get it. If you choose to go, be prepared to be taken aback by poor management who would let this woman talk to people like that.

The only good thing about this place was the food. The service was horrendous. We asked for waters with our bloodies and they never came until we asked again once our bloodies were gone. One of my new favorite places in Eau Claire. My boyfriend and i loved the breakfast and the bloody mary was phenomenal! Our server Jared was amazing. Such great atmosphere, we will definitely be back!

We were seated at ~1150am on a Sunday. Our party of 4 wasn't able to close out until 140pm. Service was atrocious.
I ordered a bloody mary that we watched sit on the bar for the duration of our time there and was still sitting at the bar's service rail when we departed. Major communication issues going on with the 3 workers. We watched at least 6 other groups enter and leave, most having waited at the hostess stand unacknowledged.
Food was fine. Nothing great. At least it was warm.

Best burger I've had in a long time. They asked how done it should be and it was perfect. I normally don't het bacon on a burger at restaurants, because of...restaurant bacon, but this bacon added a lot of flavor.
Chips were overcooked, and not very good. I'll substitute fries next time.

Just a quick bite on our way home from camping did not disappoint! Casual and cool atmosphere with great beverage options. Staff was all very friendly especially our waitress who was working on a display board when we were there. Even though she was doing that she still took very good care of us and many others. Breakfast was very good and will make our drive that much better!

Good food, great service and friendly stafg. I had the bacon cheeseburger today and it was very good. Also the staff watched out for me and told me when someone backed into my car while I was parked out front. They even got the plates from the car that did it. I had no idea it had happened as I was dining in the back. I really appreciate them watching out for me as a customer.

This was my first time eating at Galloway Grille. My first impression was that it looked like a more upscale place to eat. But I was really surprised once I looked at the menu and seen the prices. The menu seemed to have a lot of options for everyone's taste. And for the location, I felt like the prices were very reasonable. Service staff were very nice. The only thing I could say for the night we were there is that it seemed like it could have been a little short staffed that night, but we also had 6 people dining at out table. All in all, my experience was a good one, and I can't wait to take my wife there to eat.
