We had our wedding reception here. Everything was great! Most of our guests stayed at the lodge and all had positive things to say. Staff were all very friendly. If you are thinking of coming for a visit or planning a wedding we would highly recommend. Also, the onsite activities like golf and sporting clays gave guests from out of town things to do leading up to the wedding festivities

I have never EVER had a problem at this location, I have been going there since I was little. My friends and I were in pool area swimming (some of us in the hot tub and some of us in the pool) then the lady from the front desk came in there and told us to get out of the hot tub and for the other family in the pool to go into the hot tub; the family didn’t even care that we were in the hot tub (they told us after she left). Then she proceeds to open the men’s restroom door and just walk in there. The whole experience made us never want to go there ever again. After she left we all went in the restroom to change and leave and it seemed like our stuff in the restroom was messed with. Someone higher up needs to have a good talking to with her because that is not okay. I hope we have a good experience next visit.

So this past weekend we decided to go celebrate a birthday at the restaurant. I had called about reservations and was told they do not do reservations. So we arrive with a party of 7, and got in line. Before we know it, people from the bar are being seated before us. As we are in line a guy comes past us and tells the hostess he wants reservations for a party of so many for 6 pm, I see and hear her getting his name and writing it down, this is at 5pm. We finally get up to the hostess and tell her it's a party of 7, there are only 3 tables filled at this time. She tells us it's going to be an hour before we can be seated! I said you have all these tables available plus I called and was told first come first served no reservations. She said, I was told no told no big tables. So I said fine we will sit 3 and 4 at different tables, to which she sat us. No mind you we get the same waitress,our orders were taken at the same time and the food came all at the same time...but we could not sit together...even after we sat and had the same waitress we asked if we could put the tables together and was told no. So much for celebrating a birthday together with everyone, I have never heard of such a foolish thing and see such a foolish thing. Our waitress was very good and felt bad for us. The food was not that great, 3 of us got the broasted chicken and paid an up charge for all white meat, my chicken breast was smaller than my fist and my upcharge was a dried out unable to eat tiny chicken wing! My husband's and the birthday girls garlic mashed potatoes had black burnt crispy stuff on the bottom and they did not eat them. The French dip had no flavor. Very disappointed with the entire experience and will not be back.

My family recently visited your establishment to swim in the pool and were told their toddler wasn't allowed to enter the pool. They decide to swim any way since they had driven that far and entered the pool area only to find other babies swimming in the pool. Not sure what excuse was given as to why she couldn't swim but it doesn't seem fair that other babies were in the pool. My granddaughter expressed her displeasure with staff and they left. I know they will never be returning to your establishment and I won't ever be using any of your facilities. Word will be passed around through our friends and family about the treatment they received. Count me out as a patron!!!!!

This was not good. I ordered a medium rare ribeye. It appeared to have been boiled to well done and then lightly marked on the grill. It was very obvious it was a really low grade cut of beef... below choice, which should never be served at a supper club, and certainly not for 36 dollars. The "fresh" vegetable side dish was sautéed three bean salad from a can. My mom irdered chicken breast that was breaded and served with roasted red peppers and onions with cheese melted on top. It was clearly a pre-cooked frozen chicken breast. My Mom ended up getting an upset stomach immediately after eating and we had to leave abruptly. I'm sad because it was supposed to be a nice night out with my mom and she ended up becoming sick.

Nice atmosphere, good food, nice sized portions, good service, but food coming out of the kitchen was a bit slow. No complaints from anyone in our party regarding the food quality, several of whom had Prime Rib, and one shrimp dinner. Online menu is outdated, as prices were slightly more, just like every restaurant we have been to in the last few years. The bussers were awesome. Yes, I'm referring to the young ladies who kept the room in tip-top shape. A+ to those girls! Arrive early, as there were five tables waiting for the restaurant to open, and it did not slow at all. We will definitely return.

Unfortunately it was the only place that had the availability we needed.....and the website pictures made it look like it was old....but updated. Unfortunately we weren't given any of the rooms that matched up with the website pictures.||I always, always check the bed....regardless of where I am staying. The bed seemed new and the sheets were clean....no bedbugs. I still bleached my own pillows and quilt as soon as I got home. Then I was going to check out the bathroom and on my way....noticed that someone had left their eyelashes on a decent sized mirror, just outside of the bathroom. I'm not sure how anyone in housekeeping could have missed them.....looked like a huge spider. The bathroom was very dated, and the toilet, shower and the floor could use a serious scrubbing (I didn't bother taking a shower in that) ....there were dead bugs in there as well and more dead bugs near the window. I don't think the room has seen a vacuum in some time. I noticed that it was an adjoining room and probably a good thing, as it only locked from our room and it wasn't locked.||It smells like a nursing home and mothballs....and it's definitely giving off a vibe from The Shining.||Whoever was in the room above ours....I hope karma comes knocking, literally.....because your kids are obviously overly energetic heathens and you, their parents, lack the basic common courtesy of thinking that there might possibly be people below your room who would gladly have slapped some sense into your noisy brats. It was nonstop stomping and running from 7am until after 11pm. Trying to call the front desk was futile.....no one apparently is there/capable of answering the phone.||I am seriously at a loss when reading recent reviews that praised this place. I wasn't expecting the Four Seasons (though it'd be a great addition to the area) but it is irritating when you end up in something that looks absolutely nothing like the website pictures.||No reviews on the restaurant as we did not eat there.

My husband surprised me with this vacation for our 3rd wedding anniversary. All I can hope for is this will be a annual trip. Everyone there is very friendly and the things to do is unlimited ❤️. Location is great. Casino down the road a few miles. We visited Bond Falls(which is a must ❤️). We rented a UTV from across the street, that was a blast. If your into golf, there's a course next door. Awesome choices to dine at for restaurants. I recommend Brew Pub down the road. Not a bored moment there.

I used to live in Land O' Lakes until I was almost 17. The gateway has so many memories, my Grandma Angie Stop used to take us here all the time. Every time my husband and I take a visit back up north we stay here. It's so Clean, comfortable and a great location. The staff is always friendly, the pool and sauna are a great perk. The price is just right!!! I love it here, they do it so well and have kept it great for decades and decades. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Honestly one of the best lodges I’ve ever come across! Gateway has so much to offer including a cocktail bar, restaurant with great food, a huge spacious pool and hot tub and even a sauna! The suites have much room to lounge in and a whole kitchenette if you would like to cook or warm up food. My family had a wonderful time in our three day stay and have always received assistance when asking questions or needed anything by the staff. The place has tons of history as well! 10/10 would recommend this place as a place to stay for one day or multiple!

This is definitely the gateway to a good night sleep. It reminds me of the cottage I used to spend summers at when I was a kid. Hours of bar and restaurant change so plan ahead..this time the restaurant is closed Sunday &Monday, bar closed on Sunday. Our room was a studio with kitchen, comfortable bed, hot shower/bath. For the price, great deal! Wi-if worked without cutting out and tv had many channels. Cell phone reception was good too. This place is a winner!

Pros:
The bar inside was great so was the bartender which was the highlight.
Parking was easy

Cons:
Room, beds and pillows all sub standard even got a bruise on my due to some spring in the bed / mattress.
The place looks as if they don't reinvest everything is OLD.
Maid service was none existent for the 2+ days we stayed.
No late checkout got be out early as they are booked and it shows for the lack of service.

I would recommend somewhere else but I didn't hear great things about nearby motels / hotels from friends who stayed at those anyhow.

Golf course is terrible! Spotty greens and concrete fairways. Golf carts are ancient. Bunkers are gravel not sand. Fairways are mostly dirt. Extremely over priced. You can drive 15 minutes and golf better courses, Big Sand or Eagle River, for the same price.

The fish fry was great room was like mini apartment the bad thing was being woke up with work be done a couple of doors down on Saturday I would do work during the week so less guests we where not the only one who got woke up Loved the room and food
