Stopped in for dinner after a day of hiking at Devils Lake. The bar and restaurant areas were busy, and I was greeted by the staff right away. Went with the Carnivore pizza and it was absolutely amazing - loaded with quality meat toppings. Probably one of the best, most filling pizzas I’ve ever had (even on a thin crust)! If the pizza is this good, can’t wait to get back here to try other amazing menu options!

Yes, the pizza is absolutely delicious. The Gem City Pizza was tasty. All the flavors from the Italian Sausage, pepperoni, and the veggies came together to deliver some absolutely great flavor. The house made crust was unique and flavorful, crunchy and hearty.
Can’t say enough about the service. Took care of us very well and was there to help with menu and beer.
Kudos to the kitchen and our awesome service.
Don’t walk here, run and grab yourself some delicious pizza.

I'm up from Knoxville and the hotel recommended this place. I went the last two nights and the burger was good but the Philly steak was incredible! Staff was helpful and pleasant. You won't be dissatisfied... And it's so inexpensive it's ridiculous! Beer burger and fries only 14$. I couldn't believe it. I'd spend twice that in Knoxville.

The Deluxe pan style crust pizza was one to remember with generous toppings of fresh veggies and great tasting sausage chunks. Just the right balance of crust, sauce, and toppings and not a soggy mess. A small pizza could easily feed three people. My wife and I had four of the six pieces and had enough with a salad to start with. The service was great, beer was cold at a decent price for a pint. It’s your local sports bar, lots of seating, but with really great food. This is in our top five pizza places in Wisconsin.

It's a older bar a peaceful place with a good mix of older and middle aged people with just a smathering of mid Twenties thrown in. The food is phenomenal the portions are huge and the prices are reasonable.The food tastes great I had a Philly cheese steak sandwich it was really cheesey with a perfect amount of onions and green peppers . The fries are homemade or you can have tater tots if you prefer. If you like a great dill pickle they have those too .This place also has many other menu items including deep dish and thin crust pizza, I chose a thin crust pizza with cheese and sausage ,the sausage has a great flavor and spice to it and the sausage pieces are the size of Eizenhauer dollars. Ice cold drinks and an easy going atmosphere with friendly exceptional service , only been to GEM City Saloon twice,but both times it was really good consistently good. Great place to go for food and a peaceful atmosphere !

Topping - 5 stars. Very good sausage and plenty of every topping.

Value - 5 stars. 1 small is easily 2 meals and borderline 3.

Sauce - 4 stars. Was a little lite for my taste. Will order an extra side next time.

Crust - 3 stars. Great consistency and very little oil which was good. Was just a bit bland. Some garlic or Italian seasoning would help IMO.

Cheese - 1 star. This is truly the only weak spot of this pizza. Just not good cheese.
Id rather add a buck to the price and use better quality.

Drove from the dells to go here based on the reviews, and i was not disappointed at all. This place is 10/10. Food is freaking amazing, and its reasonably priced which is the best part. The drinks? Absolutely delicious. The bartender shelly is top tier. She gave us recommendations, options, and made it an awesome experience. Even the other servers were nice and stopped to talk with us. Will definitely be making this our new Tuesday date night experience for our dells trips this summer.

This is my favored pizza place in Wisconsin. I drive up from Madison just to have their pizza. The crust is thick and crispy and the toppings are insane. Um well I got recommended this place by a very nice customer from my job. But my first impression was we walked in and the lady was busy having a nonsense conversation instead of greeting us and having to find our own seating and mind u the table had cobwebs on it and then took her like 5 mins to greet us and she kinda just tossed us the menus and continued her other conversation when she should of been engaging us and then another gentleman walked in and was happy to greet him and sit him so we just walked out. I wasn’t going to share a bad review because it’s hard enough owning/managing a restaurant these days but the bar portion of this place was super unwelcoming. We started at Driftless Glen for an early tour/tasting and walked over to Gem City (at the advice of several pizza lovers) at ~4:15 on a Friday. It was well before any evening rush and certainly before added staff arrived because the bartender had to be our server at a 4 top. I say “had to” because it was apparent from her first word she was annoyed we were there. She rolled her eyes when I brought back the appetizer plates she gave us with grease and some kind of dressing from the last customer on them. She brought new ones with a “There you go” in a snotty tone, not even a good old WI “Ope, sorry!”, just annoyance.
I was actually surprised as it got worse when she wrote down the wrong toppings for one of our pies and didn’t apologize or even follow up with any niceness when we said it was fine we would just eat it anyway. No eye contact or thanks when I walked over to pay the bill since it was obvious she wasn’t coming back to us. Also did not see any signs indicating surcharge for using a card.
I feel like these complaints are minor inconveniences and specific to 1 employee so if you think you might go - you should! Just know you might want to wait until the friendly outgoing waitstaff gets there at 5:00.

Stopped for lunch on our way home from the Dells today. Everything was amazing. Service was great, server was so sweet and friendly. Food was amazing. My son got the Philly cheese steak sandwhich which was delicious, we got the spicy pickle fries and the deep fried pickles(main reason we stopped as I was craving deep fried pickles and don't have a good place near us) I think for those alone we will be making another stop as they were incredible. We also got the boneless wings with a few sauces and the bourbon sauce was AMAZING. My husband got the double gem burger which he said was also really good. Definitely a must try place. We will definitely be taking a bike ride back for the deep fried pickles and want to try the Pizzas next because those also look delicious.

Great place to ride out a storm during a camping trip. We loved the cheese curds and were delighted by the pizza. The server/bartender was friendly and attentive, which was impressive considering how busy it was. We will be back!

We stopped in this afternoon June 19, 2024, and we just wanted a good burger and fries. The food was excellent and the service was just as good. My son loved the food and wants to come back. He sat and talked about it a good portion of the ride home. We will be coming back, our waitress was a sweetheart.

The pizza is the best if u like it loaded with your favorite toppings. The crust is the best if u like it crunchy and not soggy like your average crust. Look at the picture of their pizza u wont believe the mounds of toppings.
