George Webb used to be a tradition for us whenever we were in Wisconsin. Today marked our final visit-and frankly, it couldn’t have been more disappointing.

My mom and I were each served a “cup” of chili that was barely half full. At $5.75, I expected more than a few spoonfuls. It felt like a joke. Then came the side of hashbrowns-also $5.75-greasy beyond belief and laughably small. I’ve seen more food fall off a plate than what was actually served.

This isn’t just a bad day - this place has been spiraling for a while, and it’s obvious. Based on the piles of similar complaints, management either doesn't care or gave up long ago. Either way, it’s insulting to loyal customers who showed up even as the lights were going out.

If this is how George Webb wants to be remembered, they’ve nailed it: overpriced, greasy, and completely indifferent. What a shame.

I went here with my mom, dad, and my brother and the service was just terrible. When we first got there it was fine. There were 2 other families when we came. After we ordered our food it took 40 minutes just to get half our food. We only got my mom’s and dad’s food, not even mines or my brothers. After my parents got their food my brother got his. I never got my food. Also the workers arguing about how they don’t keep track of the tables and how they don’t know how to cook. There was two lady’s cooking food. The other was a waitress. I definitely don’t recommend coming here the service was so bad. For example I never got my food. Also the workers were cussing in front of my 3 year old brother who repeats things people say. One of the cooks offered my dad some free food. We said no because earlier we saw her pick up the fries and put them into another basket. Mind you she wasn’t wearing any gloves just using her bare hands. To summarize everything I said DO NOT COME HERE.

Laura and Julia customer service was amazing. Julia just started and she is rocking it. Laura is always polite and kind; every time we've came here. The cook for the day is a new Caucasian male, he doesn't handle food well and his knowledge of preventing cross- contamination is poor. He talks over the food he's cooking and he doesn't wear a mask over the mouth. Pam is the full-time cook here and her food skills are exceptional. She's gone for the day, but we will be back. We denied the food we ordered but Laura took care of us by no charging us for the drinks. Because of Laura actions today we're coming back. They actually care about their customers and that means so much.

I went there this morning with my son for breakfast. My bacon was charred to a crisp my hashbrowns were also burned like no other. My eggs were watery. I brought this up to 3 different employees one of which was including the manager.. First employee brushed me off and said she was not working anymore so she must have just punched out.
So in the end I spent $14 on 3 pancakes, 1 slice of bacon and a chocolate milk for the little lumberjack.

Update 1 year later (give it 2 extra stars): new owners have taken over. Thank goodness, the other ones were struggling. Food tastes way better but, I'm not thrilled on the pricing. It is cheaper for me to eat at the one on 76th and Rawson. (Wish pricing was the same but I'll drive a little extra for several dollars cheaper. Thank you for making tasty food though. Would though put on menu pancakes served with powdered sugar. None of my family like powdered sugar and always forget to ask without because it is not listed but also it is not "normal" to the other webbs.

This seems like it would be a good place for the locals to eat. I was taking there by my mother-in-law who is a long time native of milwaukee. I personally did not enjoy the service that much. The food was also a little bit bland for my taste. It seems like the selection was a little lacking. Other than that the place was located in a very nice area. That is why I gave five stars for the atmosphere. The inside was also nice. If you are looking for the best tasting food you can probably skip this place. If you are looking for a really good place to sit down with a really good ambiance than this would be a good place.

Just ate with a friend.....2:15 A.M.
Worst experience ever at a Webb's.
No one in the restaurant when we got there BUT a cook and an African American male in a booth.
Turns out the man in the booth, Brandon, was our server.
We ordered cheeseburger combs', which include a drink, with refills.
We got our food, mine did NOT come on a seeded bun (as pictured), the cook forgot the raw onions, I asked for a soda and water refill. Never got either.
My friend asked for a coffee refill, never got it.
Seven customers, came and went, WITHOUT being acknowledged or served.
We had to BEG for our bills.
Needless to say, the server received NO tip.

This was the absolute worst customer service experience i’ve ever had with a restaurant. Servers were disrespectful and not well-mannered whatsoever. Rushing me to order after i only sat down for 1 minute. Mind you it wasn’t even busy. My server “Precious” wasn’t precious at all. She was rude and very lazy. She gave me food with no fork and got an attitude when I asked for one. I’m a pretty quiet guest myself I just relax and eat. They also were extremely loud with co-workers and frequent guest that come in. The atmosphere felt very uncomfortable and it didn’t help that the server was rude. Even the food was horrid, hash rows weren’t seasoned, eggs were cold as hell, and the pancakes were the only decent thing. Especially after I left she rolled her eyes. Wouldn’t recommend going to this dump at all 🤢. New management is needed because that was ridiculous.

Would rate 0 stars if possible. Had precious as our server. She took over 10 minutes to even greet us which I was understanding about at first. She took our drink and food order in a hurry. We waited....and waited....and waited..... I turned on a timer about 5 minutes after our order was taken. 32 minutes passed and I saw people who came 15 to 20 minutes after our order was placed receiving their food. My boyfriend had to go to the front counter 2 times to ask for a refill on his coffee. We heard precious announcing how she only had 10 minutes left in her shift. Finally a new server came in and greeted us thinking we were a new table. we informed her it had been over 30 minutes that we had been waiting for our food. She went to find out what was going on. Come to find out precious put in everyone else's food except ours even customers arriving well after us. I'm not sure if it was because we were white but I did notice she gave everyone else decent service besides us. Stephanie was the only saving grace during this visit. Even after precious was informed of her major mistake she never apologized or acknowledged us again. She lost out on a 35% tip. Stephanie was was very sweet and accomadating but no manager apologized or did anything. I reached out to management and corporate and no response has been received to my complaint. This is super poor customer service at this location and issues need to be addressed accordingly. Stephanie was amazing but everything else was trash. An incoming server should not have to deal with the mess ups from the previous shifts laziness and lack of work ethic!

Went in the early afternoon. Only 1 other table was occupied at the time. Did not receive what we ordered. Husband ordered a webs Benedict and received a sandwich. There was hair in his hash browns never came back after dropping off the food.

We sat for 10 minutes after we finished waiting for the bill. Finally gave up and went to the counter to get it waitress just held her hand out for payment. We never even saw the bill until I requested it.

When my husband mentioned the possible need for a beard net and pointed out the hair he was told that we could put it in the suggestion box.

We frequent other Webbs and have no issues stopped at this one since it is close to home. this was a horrible experience. Hope service improves for your sake so you do not continue to lose customers.

With the food being undercooked whenever certain servers are on shift, they seem to be talking more I stead of working. One server in particular did not have a pleasant greeting, did not have a order slip, did not write down our order, and had an attitide, then because she had a loud tone, she was talking bad about other customers when they weren't there. The prices are WAY too expensive & their French Fries always taste like the cook haphazardly cuts tiny shoestring size strips of a potatoes & then proceeds to fry them in such a way that I've never received any that tasted like they were actually entirely cooked. In fact, along with always being soggy & flaccid, I don't know if I've ever had fries from there that weren't room temperature or higher! Even worse is the pitiful amount of fries they give you! If you ate their for the first time, you'd think they accidentally gave you fries off the kids' menu! The only thing good I can say is that the place is open 24/7!
