Geno's has the best Italian beefs I've ever had. I have had them half the states in the US and this is my favorite place. Every bite is a flavor explosion, price is right, service is on point, and the fries are banging too. You can order anything of the menu and be satisfied completely. I just moved to La Crosse from Chicago and was so happy to see there was an Italian Beef joint nearby. This is honestly one of the best ones I’ve had! Make sure to get it dipped. Literally my only complaint is that they aren’t open on weekends or even Friday evenings, which all Chicagoans know is the perfect time to grab a beef! Bravo!

I've been here so many times and have never left disappointed! My personal favorite is the Gyro, it's absolutely out-of-this-world! A close runner up is the Chicago Dog - authentic and delicious. The French fries are the best in the area, hands down. My ONLY minor complaint, if I had to have one, would be that there isn't any seating indoors. During the summer months, there's a patio, but unfortunately, there's no where to sit when it's cold outside. Only reason that's a complaint is I have to wait longer to eat my food and smell it the entire way home. If you're looking for a hotdog, look no further.

Angelini's on the other side of the building is phenomenal, as well. You won't leave this place unsatisfied!

Drove a hour and a half to get some Chicago dog's haven't been there since they moved made a big order started eating my food on the drive home and the buns were hard as a rock not only where they stale they weren't even Poppy seed buns sorry I'm from Chicago I know hot dogs will never complain about portilos prices again. sorry for the rant but I was very disappointed 😞

Only reason it isn't all 5s is that the lady taking our order didn't mention just how large the portions were and we got two orders of fries for our kids when we could've gotten just one for the whole family...but that's being picky...everything else was fantastic and the food was amazing! Highly recommend!
Update: tried some other Italian beef sandwiches from other places in the area...don't waste your time and money!! This is by far the best! Anyone but Gino's isn't worth your time!

I had been wanting to try this place for a long time and finally got the chance to. I was beyond disappointed. I got a flat cheeseburger and it lived up to its name. Thin beef patty on a Walmart roll. The grilled onions had an odd taste that made the whole thing inedible. My gf got an Italian beef with grilled onions and she said the same thing. And the cheese sauce made the whole sandwich soggy. Neither of us could finish our sandwiches. We wasted $32. We definitely won’t be back. I could have gotten better food at McDonald’s.

Italian beef done like it is supposed to be. Anxiously waited for new location, next to Angelini’s, to open and the Italian beef, cheesy Italian beef, Marinara meatball sandwiches were perfection. My husband is a Chicago boy & I am a former restaurant owner. We're picky about our Italian Beef's. This is one of the best around! The fries, not as good. So yummy!! Having lived in the Chicagoland area, I’ve had some of the best hotdogs and beefs. The only thing I’ve eaten from Gino’s though is the Chicago style hotdog and it tastes as delicious as Chicagoland hotdogs! Love the mustard on it. You have to ask for celery salt, but I’m liking Gino’s better without it!

3 strikes and your out! I’ve tried three different items from here and all three were absolutely terrible. The only reason I came back a third time is because the best close Chicago spot The Mob Stop went OB. So I tried a Chicago dog thinking “boy they can’t mess this up right?” Wrong. The dog was made from festival food ingredients and not Vienna. I’ve had better dogs at kwik trip. The cashier kept screaming orders up when people were less than 5 feet away, very annoying to eat and listen to her scream. The staff is unfriendly and the restaurant was dirty. Save your money!! Dog food outta a can would of been a better option. If I could I would give this a -10.

The Italian beef sandwich with cheese is excellent it's even better than their gyro which is surprising. The gyros are fantastic. Food's a little on the pricey side but the portion sizes are pretty good. I don't recommend the fries they were bit on the soft side and slightly overcooked or perhaps sat too long, I don't know, and they didn't put enough cheese sauce with them, which seems to be a running theme with every place that offers cheese sauce

Stopped by Gino’s and parked in front of the restaurant. I was goin to grab flowers from Gunther’s and a gyro for my wife for lunch and take it to her at work with my two young sons. As soon as me and my sons exited the vehicle and walked at Gunther’s one of the employees came out and rudely siad parking was only for customers. Before I could explain that what my intentions were he told me to vacate the premises. I tryed explaining but he would not listen. We use to go to Chicago's Beef & Etc. and miss Ed and family then found a place called Mario's downtown had closed. Well folks they are back. Gino's had everything we loved and hit the spot.
