This has to be one of the best restaurant Iβve ever been to.
First thing, the owner of the restaurant was so kind and humble. We even got complimentary cheese curds at the end. He gave our dog a bowl for food and guided us about the local trails and attractions we could try. We couldnβt be more thankful and grateful for going above and beyond given we didnβt know the places around so much.
Second, the service was at par than anywhere else. The chef/waitress was so kind even though she was shorthanded and almost end of the day, she listened to our questions and requests.
Last but definitely not the least, the ambiance of the restaurant is just a killer and food is so delicious. I canβt wait to try this place again when I visit the area again.
Kudos to all the hardwork you folks are putting into this place and keep up the great work.

Since changing the menu the food seems to just be elevated/overpriced bar food where it was previously incredible tapas. In the past it was my absolute favorite restaurant that Iβd make an absolute must stop on my door county trips but upon switching owners it just seemed like a place you can get cheese curds. Very disappointed & wouldnβt return with this current menu.

Me and my husband are impressed by this place.
We went from Chicago to Door county almost two months ago, this is our dinner place of the first night. My husband is a chef in a Michelin star restaurant so I told him 10 times please do not have too high expectations itβs not in the city.
Then, everything is well done, even the spinach salad! I keep asking my husband to make their salad for me even after we are back.
The texture, the portion, the ingredients and the tastes are all well balanced. You guys did better than a lot of popular restaurants in Chicago, Bravo!
If you see this review and plan to visit door county, please do not hesitate to go there and try, I am serious!

No cocktails. Waiter didn't know what a gin and tonic was, asked us what the ingredients were. Food was yummy, fireplace seating was very pleasant. Waiter was polite, just very green, for example didn't include pen with bill. We asked if they did anything special for birthdays, he said they had special birthday desserts and then charged us for it. Pretty sure the dessert we had gave us both food poisoning. Was the only food we shared and we both got sick that night.

Tacked on to a cheese shop, Glacier Ledge is very unassuming. The atmosphere is a bit sterile, but the delicious food makes up for it! The food at Glacier Ledge is way better than it has any right to be.
We ordered the Fillipino style bbq chicken, grilled hanger steak, lumpia and apple cake. They were all delicious! The sauce on the chicken was incredible. They need to bottle it and sell it! The butter on the hanger steak was phenomenal. I could have eaten it on anything. The apple cake was my least favorite of the four dishes and it was still incredibly tasty.
Our server didn't mention that it was small plates or recommend how many we should order, which was a bit of a miss. But overall, we really enjoyed our meal at Glacier Ledge.

The food was gourmet...compliments to the chef and our server. The bartender served innovative drinks, friendly and efficient too. We enjoyed new flavors of cheese as well after a tour of the facility guided by the cheese maker. The Artisan Cheese Factory is poorly advertised for the quality of its service. We definitely would go there again.

Understaffed and rude.
My mom has dairy, soy, and gluten allergy, (not fad, hospitalization risks) so we asked what she could and couldn't eat. The waitress said she would go check with the chef, did not and doesn't even know the menu. Didn't know goat milk is not dairy, didn't know miso has soy and would not go ask. My mom then went in to ask the manager what she could and couldn't eat, same thing. Sent out the VERY RUDE chef that also doesn't know allergies. Told her she could take the tzatziki and flatbread off the shawarma. She said that that's about half the dish, can I substitute? and he said "it's not, but okay whatever you say" no subbing or price reduction. These people need better training on food allergies. We waited 30 minutes for 3 drinks, two of which never came. Many rude comments, don't come if you don't want to be shamed for allergies. Payed for drinks and left.
From my mom: Let me be clear here in response to the comment below. I told them I had a dairy allergy to cow's milk, and when they insisted that this included all dairy, I corrected them, letting them know it was a casein allergy. The point here is that if you need any special considerations for allergies, do not come here. Using short staffing and answering this comment in that manner makes it clear that there was a "shame on you" attitude. Those with allergies know exactly what their allergies are. Arguing with them while rolling your eyes and speaking I'm a demeaning tone is never a way to treat another person, especially in am establishment that relies on customers to prosper. One of your menu items that had bread crumbs in the ingredient list was listed as gluten free. When I checked with the server, then you, this was verified as being an error on the menu, a clear example of how this interaction occurred. I have celiac disease and it's warrants caution. There are more than enough fantastic places in this county to get service with understanding. You are making major assumptions implying that I don't understand or care about staffing and shortages. I am a nurse practitioner and was a server during my student years. I am well aware, and compassionate about the stress involved in shortages (think masks, protective equipment, long hours, fear of death, actual death of my coworkers, etc). What I am not clear about is why one would make allergies a point of personal bad behavior somehow on my part as your reply implies. It is difficult to eat out safely when the staff have your kind of 'bothered' attitude.

We dined here last weekend while in Door County. It is definitely a hidden gem! My husband and I both loved our plates-the steak and corn wow! And the chicken with a great sauce. Our kids even raved about their cheese flatbread and chicken nuggets (homemade). We will definitely go back here when in the area again.

What a hidden gem! We past this place several times thinking it was just another soup and sandwich joint. So wrong! The menu is thoughtfully sparse but certainly enough variety for any eclectic foodie. We really didnβt know what we were ordering as the descriptions are a little vague. However we were delighted with the textures and flavors of the dishes. From now on Iβll warm olives before I serve them.

I ate here in 2019. At that time we loved it. Menu is not very extensive. Tried again in 2021...and less impressed. The paper menus were crumbled. As far as the food---we're vegetarians and there are a few choices. We had the baguette with dips & spreads....and bread was slightly burned. The tapenade wasn't great...but the guac was excellent. The cauliflower with caramelized onions...I liked my wife didn't care for. Hopefully they will expand on the menu soon and improve on a few things like the menu.

Everything we ordered we loved, but particularly the scallops, cauliflower dish, and dessert. The dessert seemed simple when described: sautΓ©ed berries in wine reduction over ice cream, but it was one of the best desserts I've ever had. (This was also because the ice cream was great quality.) The service was excellent and very friendly. This restaurant has upped the Door County dining game.

Hidden gem we werenβt expecting to find next to the cheese shop! We had the cheese curds, cauliflower, iberco nachos (chorizo and crispy potatoes and chives and yummy sauces and cheese!), and grilled hanger steak! We would order it all again! Each of these thoughtfully included a different cheese from the shop next door, and they were beautiful pairings! Our server was friendly and had great recommendations. The patio would have been lovely if not for the weather. We will absolutely be back!

My review is a story of two tables. Wife and I had one of the salads, cheese plate and the salmon special. For a shareable plate setup I would have thought the plates didn't come so far apart. Cheese plate was good but came with six dollars of meat we didn't order. The salad had plenty of greens but was very light on the veggies. Also had too much of a dressing without much flavor. The salmon special was not worth the long wait. The shareable plate had a total of a medium size piece of salmon chopped into chunks. The service was not attentive except for people coming by filling our waters. For the price of the food we thought the food and service should be much better. Now onto the other table that was seated after our order was in. Their server was friendly and attentive. All of their plates came together and beat my special out of the kitchen. I can only assume their review will be higher than mine. So if you try this restaurant hope you end up at the other table.

Hidden gem. Quiet upscale atmosphere without the overwhelming music heard so often in other restaurants. Food was outstanding. Service very good. A little pricey, but what isnβt these days. Would definitely recommend. Readily available parking as it is not in any downtown.

If six stars were possible, I'd give six stars. Absolutely amazing food with flavor combinations that will make your eyes roll back in your head (yes, it's that good); it's clear the chef knows his craft very well. Our favorite dish: the scallops- absolutely to die for. It wasn't only the food, though, it was the whole experience. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting and we never felt rushed or out of place. We will definitely be back again and again and if you're wondering if you should give it a try, YES you should.

By far the most exciting and tasty food in door county! We happened to stop by the cheese shop by on our way back home to Chicago and I was lured into Glacier Ledge by looking at the outdoor seating. We ordered cheese curds, harrisa chicken, goat cheese salad and the passion fruit salad. Also- thr best part of the night- I went home without using my epi pen! They did a great job of handling my seafood allergy βΊ

Delicious! Well-rounded small plates menu. Restaurant was modern and clean. It is attached to Door Artisan Cheese Company so they serve their in-house made cheese with the food dishes. We had the cheese and charcuterie plate. Empanadas were great, and the kofte lamb kebabs were our our favorite! Our server was personable and checked in often. I highly recommend Glacier Ledge!

The cheese here is alright but the crackers on the plate were stale. Service was slow and very rude. They were trying to rush us to order before the kitchen closed but yet took 15 min to take our order. One of the cheeses on the plate had a hair on it. After informing the server, he whisked it away without so much as an apology and said nothing. No discount or anything on the bill either.

This place ended up being the surprise highlight of our trip to Door County. Everything we ordered was good but some things were truly exceptional. They start your meal with an amuse-bouche which is just a one bite to start off the meal. This may have been my favorite part of the meal we got an orange goat cheese in a red wine reduction and micro greens. The crispy potatoes, Japanese chicken, and cheese curds were the crowd favorites. The specialty cocktails were also fantastic the sour Cherry sake mojito was outstanding. The inside is beautiful, and also there is a very nice large patio outside for dining. The service was equivalent of a high end steak house, EXTREMELY tentative where every member of the staff was watching every table. Highly recommend and will be back if you like tapas this is the choice.

We had our best meal of our week in Door County at Glacier Ledge Restaurant. The service was impeccable and very friendly and the food was amazing. We had 8 different dishes and all of them were excellent. Perfectly seasoned and soooo flavorful! After lunch we went to the cheese shop next door and picked up some local cheese and some charcuterie for dinner which were all very good too. Donβt miss it!

Read some great reviews about Glacier's service, food and ambience, but found all to be lacking. We had a lovely lunch today at Glacier Ledge! The menu offers an eclectic mix of dishes of various sizes, great for either sharing or βtraditionalβ dining. The wine, beer, and cocktail menu had a good number or options at affordable price points. Our party ordered the Chicken shawarma, hangar steak with Mexican street corn, and the citrus glazed salmon. All were delicious, fresh, and good sized. The service was stellar, the ambiance was good, and the patio was beautiful. We will be back!

Highly Recommend!! Creatively delicious, tapas style menu with something for everyone! We purposely went on a Thursday for Raclette Night where founder and cheese specialist, Mike, melts delicious daclette cheese to just the right temperature and piles it atop roasted seasonal vegetables. Yes, it was amazing. We also enjoyed the zucchini fritters and crostini, as well as lamb and steak (served with insanely delicious Mexican street corn...drool!). Thank you, Chef Lawrence!
Being small plate, each dish came out as it was prepared. This is just as perfect for sharing as it is for giving each dish the attention it deserves!
Although this not a place to come for a quick meal, you could if you ordered just one plate each or so. But who would want to rush such a superb culinary experience! Canβt wait to come back!

Beautiful restaurant. Warm welcoming staff. A acoustic guitar duo provided music in the bar area. They have beautiful outside and indoor dining. The food was so VERY FRESH! We saw people dressed casually enjoying fine dining. They have outside fire pits. We ate at a bar top table in the bar while listening to the wonderful music. Ample parking - one of the reasons we chose to have dinner there. First time visiting this restaurant. We consider this to be a restaurant offering wonderful food and great atmosphere. A hidden gem in Door County located just north of the village of Egg Harbor across from Wood Market!

So we didn't get to eat in the restaurant, it was closed, but we did get a tour of the cheese cave. It was a fun tour and then we bought cheese afterwards. Our favorites were the butterkase and top hat.

Very nice place but its more for tourists. Its filled with expensive cheeses, wines, and meats. It seemed a tad understaffed when we went so we didn't get the full experience.

This place was a wow! We stopped in for an early dinner and sat outside on the patio. The food was innovative and incredibly flavorful. I only wish that we could have gone there another time and sampled more , but alas, we were only in Egg Harbor for a couple of days. We loved the zucchini fritters, beet salad, and duck with cranberry sauce. The dessert was a show stopper - Apricot strudel with blue cheese ice cream. It was the epitome of tasting sweet and salty together. So much fun. They had a great wine list and of course the artisan cheeses that you can purchase on the store side are varied and interesting. Our server was spot on with his recommendations. We can't wait to go back.

Love this restaurant! Food is creative and delicious. Every bite! We found that ordering 3 small plates were perfect for the two of us. Nice selection of wine and beers too. We had dinner then the next day went back for lunch! Service is excellent and this restaurant is so pretty, whether you sit inside or enjoy the lovely view on their patio. We have been coming back every year since they opened and are never disappointed. Their chef is fabulous!

Lovely little restaurant with talented live music and great service! The staff was polite, personable and happy to accommodate special diets in our party. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming and homey. We will definitely return when we visit Door County again. :)

Small plates style restaurant with very sophisticated menu ranging from cheese-based offerings to an Argentine style hanger steak with chimichurri. Excellent service and reasonably priced though the wine list is over-priced. Highly recommend this new restaurant.

We had several of the small plates and a few drinks. Bottled beer was only $3, which was a pleasant surprise. The food was unimaginable and featured local cheese we never had before. There was a crostini with burrata that tasted like a pillow of cream and tangy sweet. Valmy nachos were baked potatoes squares swimming in a beer-treated cheese and a nice touch of crispy Brussel sprout leaves. Highly recommend this place for super fancy food in an unassuming venue.

One of the best restaurants I have ever been. Go straight for the βall day menuβ which has the βSmall Platesβ and the Mediterranean varieties. The items might come off as slightly expensive; but they are worth every dime. The Grilled Veggie plate, Lamb Skewer plate, and Tandoori spiced Salmon are simply amazing. Hope they stay in business β weβll be returning there again.

We stopped by Glacier Ledge for lunch and we were so glad that we did. It was truly excellent. The outdoor seating was lovely, especially by the fountain. The service was great. The food was a cut above. They start you with a little sampler bite. So fun! Ours was apple with blue cheese and walnut. We had the daily lunch special which was pork braised tacos with gouda. They were outstanding. My husband had the chicken sandwich with avocado. It was excellent. The bacon was really tasty. We finished our meal with the lemon pastel with blueberry sauce. It was good too. Their menu has lots of shareable small plates. I would have liked to try a bit of everything!

My family and I had a remarkable dining experience here. The meals are beautifully presented and absolutely DELICIOUS, the service is incredible, and the atmosphere relaxing and pleasant. We were impressed with the menu and wine list too -- they are both well balanced and clearly compliment each other, showing a consciousness to detail I believe is becoming more rare to find in nice but still affordable dining. Glacier Ledge Restaurant is utterly unique to the other local options available, and I highly recommend this venue for an enjoyable night out.

Our dining experience was super. I am not a meat eater, while my husband is. No problem! Plenty of choices. The wine menu was terrific. By the glass or bottle. The cheese was great and veggies and meat. Veggies were fresh and crisp. Our waiter Don was superb. heading back again tonight. One huge plus in Door county. A parking lot!! If you haven't gotten here hurry. Soon it will be a destination spot. Also has a very nice patio.

Being here is a delicious experience! We enjoyed everything from tasting the cheese and excellent wines next door to dining at Glacier Ledge for a beautiful lunch. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. The sandwiches, asian-style slaw, and cake were all amazing! You can tell that the people who work here take pride in what they serve, and they should because it's all wonderful!
