We tried ordering online via toast tab but it wasn’t working. We decided to drive to the restaurant to order. It was 6pm on a Saturday night so we expected a wait. The staff was a bit in chaos since it was busy. We had someone at the front help us place our order. It was a large order (10 people). The person helping us didn’t really seem to know the system. We were told it would be ready in 40 minutes. When we came back, our order wasn’t ready. We waited another 20 minutes. Then we were told that our order was entered incorrectly. It was entered as a in house order and not a take away. We waited another 45 minutes. When we finally got home with the order, everything seemed like it had been sitting out for hours. They didn’t included one of the entrees we ordered. The mango “smoothie” we ordered had alcohol in it. It was not listed that way on the menu. The staff was nice and very apologetic. There were a lot of children running in and out of the kitchen which was strange. There were many other patrons inside that were complaint about service and food while we were there. One man ran up to the hostess station and screamed it was the worst experience of his life! Not a great start to our vacation.

Floors were very sticky everywhere you walked. Parillada was very salty and meat was extremely dry and with no flavor. The rice was very dry and did not taste well at all, it seemed like it had been out for several days and was reheated. Salsas were good. The torta bread is not your typical and traditional one but a sandwich roll and for $18 and barely any meat on it..... just don't order it. The waiter was very nice, friendly and attentive to us. Would I return again? Probably not.

We recently used Gloria's Mexican Restaurant for our rehearsal dinner (about 50 guests), and it was absolutely amazing! From the start, the owner was incredibly responsive and accommodating, making the whole planning process smooth and stress-free. The food was outstanding—everyone raved about it—and the margaritas were a huge hit with our guests!

The service was attentive, professional, and on point the entire evening. Plus, the pricing was very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food and drink we received.

My husband and I have always loved going to Gloria's for date nights, but after this experience, we can confidently recommend them for larger events as well. Whether it's a casual dinner or a big celebration, Gloria's never disappoints!

Dinner at Gloria's in Sturgeon Bay was a disaster. Bland food, greasy and a generally dirty atmosphere. The exhaust vents outside were coated in thick grease and running down the side of the building - fire hazard, much? Inside, sticky tables and inattentive staff yelling over a pool game added to the unpleasant experience. Would not recommend.

I thought this restaurant was nice food was alright. Got my bill and there was a 18% service charge, not on the menu not on anything. Knowing this im not leaving an additional tip if your already charging me. A month goes by and i get my credit bill. They somehow wrote there own tip in to over 40% of the bill. Ridiculous I will never return, if you eat here pay cash or don't bother going at all.

Who in the hell is giving this place five stars??? I'd give it less than 1 if I could. Thought I'd never find a place worse than Old Mexican....well, found it. Overpriced nonsense. Went safe and got the surf n turf burrito with red sauce. Simple and hard to mess up. Well, a microwave gas station burrito is more impressive than this place. The burrito couldn't have been more white if they put cream cheese and mayo in it. The sauce had less heat n flavor than a jar of vanilla ice cream. No pepper, no salt, no spice whatsoever. Meat quality, suspect. Shrimp quality, very suspect. If you're paying $25+ for a burrito plate, you expect it to be pretty impressive. Yeah, I was impressed at just how bad "Mexican" food can get.

The food was fantastic!

The male server (no name on the electronic receipt/no name tag) was less than average. This was disappointing as he didn't talk much and wasn't interactive at all. No warm fuzzy feelings and didn't really seem to care too much about us. Nobody said good bye as we left the building. We were the only table at the time and two people at the bar.

Overall I/we don't have the desire to return and with Door County having so many wonderful restaurants, we'll patronize those places instead.

After a huge disappointment down the street, we ended up here for our anniversary dinner. An old friend posted about this place once, being owned by an Air Force buddy of his. I messaged Steve and asked if this was the place, he replied "yup, say Hi to German for me"

We went in, realized this was a rustic building with a fresh interior. We got a seated right away. Water, drinks, chips & salsa. Then someone came over and asked if we wanted guacamole. Yes, please!

To which he pulled up a cart and started making it fresh, right there. A first for us, but nonetheless, it was awesome. My wife's palate is a bit more sensitive in regards to heat, so her heart sank when she realized there were jalapenos in the guac. I asked for some extra limes and told my bride that lime juice would help with any heat. For her, it worked and she enjoyed it.

She got the chicken fajitas, I got the Choripollo.
Great taste on her dish, not spiced...the cast skillet did the work.
Fresh veggies as well.
My chorizo was not at all greasy...even though the flavor is usually in the grease with chorizo. Still tasty.
Beans & Rice, very good.
Overall, thank you to a competitor for driving us to Gloria's.

Not busy. Wasn’t a fan of La Parrillada plate. Thought everything would be separate parts instead was all mixed in together. Some of the meats had flavor of shrimp in there. I dislike shrimp but other family members like it. The sides were good. Rice beans n avocado w lettuce/tomatoes. They only gave us like three or four corn tortillas but they died in the oil. Would’ve been better just warmed up. They had only one Waiter which made it hard to ask for refills etc n he didn’t bother to ask either every time he passed by. Salsa n chips were delicious. We didn’t finish our meals since we ate so many because it was taking long to get our meals.

Wow. Very impressed with the food. I believe it to truly be authentic Mexican food. I dined with 2 others and literally everything was delicious. The prices are high, but what isn’t these days. The portions are generous, which helps. I am a big, and even I took half of my chimichanga home.
However, I cannot give 5 stars due to the slow service we received. Everyone was very nice, but we were there for over an hour and a half and we didn’t even have any alcohol or anything. Our drinks never got refilled which was a problem especially when eating spicy foods!! It took a while just to place our orders and then a while for our food. Once we were done, we waited a while to get the check.
This would have been fine if it was busy, but it was not. We didn’t arrive until 7:30 which is well past the prime dinner hour and the restaurant was half full at best. We were expecting it to be a little quicker. Not to mention we had 3-4 different people wait on us while we were there.
I also did not like having to use the handheld POS to mark my tip with the waitress standing right there. Feels awkward.
One last thing I should mention, they tacked on a 3% service fee at the end (not for using credit card, just a overall fee) which was ridiculous.
Even after all that, we will still probably return in the off-season when Door County calms down a bit to give them one more try. No complains about the food or the delicious salsa, but we would like quicker service and the elimination of the nickel-and-dime type fees.

Waiter didn't understand English (kind of felt sorry for him) and was absent for most of the meal i.e. never returned.
The portions are large, heavy on the salt.

Came here to celebrate someone’s birthday last week. One of the best places I’ve been to for a birthday in door county! They go all out with singing, sparkler, and a sombrero for the birthday person. Will definitely be back.
They did an efficient job at sitting out party of 7 on a holiday/lunch hour. The staff was nice and the food is better than other Tex-Mex restaurants I’ve tried in Wisconsin. The ribeye was seasoned well but was not well-done as I requested. The server offered to put it back on the grill which I declined but appreciated the offer. Would not recommend the baked potato that came along with the ribeye entree.

The first thing you notice is staff who are put together, moving with a purpose, very polite, and all are more than fit for the job. Handmade guacamole is made in front of your table, super fresh and great! This is a somewhat Americanized menu but the staples are here as well as some ritzy embellished meals that don't resemble anything commonly served in Mexico. That being said, the descriptions of the food are very accurate and you get a good serving size that will satisfy and fill you up! The Shrimp Chipotle was very good, shrimp tacos are too big to handle(watch out!). The rice seems to be a very standard rice with tomato color throughout and some peas and corn. No complaints here. The decor is not gaudy or obnoxious like many Americanized Mexican restaurants, but really appears classy but genuinely to Mexican taste. It's fine dining and you will enjoy your meal.

Four of us, two couples, dined at Gloria's recently.

My ratings average out to 3 stars, but I'm bumping it up to 4 stars because the restaurant is new and needs time to refine its operation.

Ambiance: The dining room is very large. Tables are spread out and there is a stage. The acoustics are unfortunate. The ceiling is high and there are no sound absorbing materials, so there is a pronounced echo. We were there somewhat late, so there weren't many people, but I imagine that when it's busy, it must be very loud. Interesting art on the walls.

Food: The food was perfectly good, typical Mexican fare, and large portions. The margaritas come in small, medium and large; and decorated with an orchid!. The medium was quite plentiful and tasty.

Service: Two things about service. 1.) Our server was very pleasant and attentive. 2.) The kitchen screwed up one of our orders and he ran off to get what I ordered. Not a big deal, but it's awkward when three people have their meals and one person has to wait.

If the owner/manager reads this, I have a suggestion: Install some floor-to-ceiling theater curtains to solve the bad acoustics.

A new star has risen on the West Side of SB. Not your Dad & Mom's traditional Tx-Mx food. This has a steady Michoacan beat from the ingredients and the seasonings. I can confidently say that this place is the best Mexican restaurant that I have been to in Wisconsin (including Milwaukee and Madison). Not Tex-Mex actual Mexican food. The staff was lovely, and the drinks were stellar. Will be coming back every time we are in Door Country. I completely disagree with the low rating saying the food wasn't hot enough, the food was perfect temp when I had it!

Great service and food. Still working out some kinks while they are in the early stages of being open, but overall we were very satisfied.

**Yes there is a 3% service charge (extremely common in restaurants now), that someone complained about and said to raise prices instead. As if that same person wouldn’t complain about higher prices smh.

Chips & salsa as well as the fajitas had no flavor or heat...as in jalapeño heat or spice. Rice & beans were bearly lukewarm. Sad to say, very disappointing 😞

The tasty plate of chips and pico/salsa's started our lunch. We had taco salads, one with beef, the other Gloria's with steak. Both had very ample portions of meat, maybe a bit less meat and more salad. Overall, we though the food was excellent and fairly priced.

Very friendly and attentive staff. There were a fair number of people there for lunch on a Tuesday in March, which is a good thing. Some minor operational kinks from the very first week will get ironed out.

This is going to be a hopping place come busy season. We will be back!

We loved the flavors, however, the food was barely warm, rice was cold. To our surprise there is a 3% service charge. Just raise the price for heavens sake! Disappointed 😔

The restaurant is large. The food is good. The drinks are good. They have a table side guacamole cart come around. They have a table side tequila cart as well.
The bar itself was full when we arrived, it was still full when we left. Not sure if you just wanted a barstool, you would get one, very easily. They were packed in the bar area.
They had entertainment on Saturday while we were there. A Mariachi band played. They were very good. They have a stage, but the band did not use it. They walked around the bar and dinning room, while they entertained. That was great. Lots of parking I thought. They have a large parking lot, as well as street parking. I would give them a 4 * rating.

We held our ladies night out at Gloria's and it did not disappoint. The food was unbelievably delicious! All the staff were super friendly and the place looked fantastic! The restaurant and facilities were clean, the music was festive and the mood was light and fun. Great place for a group or a date night. HIGHLY recommend!

Dropped in for lunch. I had carnitas tacos, and my wife had the chilaquiles. All the sauces and salsas were obviously made in house, and were exceptional. The tacos were Mexican style and were perfect street food (I mean that as the highest compliment!)

I stole a couple of bites of the chilaquiles, and they were slightly better than perfect.

We will definitely return!

Just dined with some friends who are big Mexican Food fans and it got a two thumbs up! Warm chips, freshly made salsas upon arrival were delicious. Ordered a table-side guacamole which was delicious and nicely salted (something I like, often missed).

I had the chicken fajitas and as you will see in the picture - nice big chicken chunks and nicely seasoned (used my rice to soak up all the juices - yummy). Another had the Tinga Tostadas and loved them. The other had the chicken enchiladas with mole and just raved! Rounded out the meal with some heavenly flan.

Only their second night open (still in soft opening) and amazing service. Did seem like much of the staff was hired away from the other restaurant in town so hope they will be okay. Let’s just say they are well trained and knew exactly what I love.

Great job, we will be back!
