Way back when the Knob was referred to as the Gobbler on the hill for its silhouette just off of the Milwaukee to Madison freeway corridor. Great atmosphere there- quite a showplace as well.
The bar area immediately after the main entrance was a view like no other. The smallish wall windows surrounded uou like a slow moving kaleidoscope as thd sun set. Quite a place- let's hope that it cones 'round once more.

One of our go to favorite restaurants, a bit out of the Fox Valley but worth the drive. Small place where they take your order at the bar. Service is always outstanding and prices are reasonable! Food always delicious and love the salad bar. We’ve tried many different dishes here and have never been disappointed.

I love the Gobbler’s Knob! Cindy, the owner and her team (shout out to Ashley) took great care of us! It is a welcoming family place that knows how to treat people! I had a sour old-fashioned while waiting for our table to be ready and our order to be cooked. It was delicious! The broasted chicken is spectacular. The salad bar is super diverse and has everything you would want to make a very tasty salad… Try the hot bacon dressing! On our day, there was beautiful tomato soup and French onion soup. Both were delicious. They have a “ all you can eat broasted chicken option … And for a few extra dollars you could go “all dark“ or “all white” but I recommend you get the four piece broasted chicken dinner that includes all you can eat salad, bar, and soup… After all it’s two dollars less than that all you can eat, and who can really eat more than four giant pieces of broasted chicken anyways?
I had some chocolate pudding for dessert. That was very tasty as well!
The crowd is friendly. Parking is easy and the service is wonderful!

This saddens me as I almost always praise for great customer service. However last night we and another couple traveled from Appleton for our Friday night fish only to be completely disappointed. When we arrived the bar was standing room only, We ordered drinks and were given a number. We were advised the wait would be about an hour, which was no problem as we had plenty of conversation ahead of us. This was at 6:10.
We were able to gather around a small cocktail table and put our number plainly in sight enjoying our friends conversation. After about an hour and fifteen minutes we noticed people were leaving the dining room, but we patiently waited ordering more drinks. Finally after paying closer attention we noticed quite a few others who came in after us were being seated or had even finished eating and leaving.
OK, something is wrong here so at 7:55 we asked why this was happening. Here is where it went bad. We were told that because we did not turn our number on its side which would indicate we were ready to order, it was our fault that we waited that long. She said "sorry about that" and left. How would we know that was our responsibility? There were no signs indicating that practice nor were we told when we received the number.
About 15 minutes later at 8:10 we were brought to our table and waited another 10 minutes or so for our food. The food was good, but NOT two hour and 10 minutes good along with putting the blame on us for the long wait. We were never offered a discount, or a free drink, NOTHING. Which is why I felt the need to share this. Needless to say the Gobblers Knob has been taken off our list of restaurants to patronize. And with just a little knowledge about genuine customer service, this could have had a completely different ending.

We have visited the Knob many times over many years, but not since the new owners took over. In fact, we were there some years back the night we all had to head to the basement because of a storm. We visited last night for dinner last night. We were told we would have a one hour wait, which we were fine with. The owner provided a round of drinks for everyone as dinner was delayed in order to get grills and fryers heated back up. The new owners instituted a new number system for the dinning room. We were give a number (a small metal triangle with the same number on two sides), and not told anything else. After one hour I observed couples going into the dinning room that had arrived after we did. Thinking they had tables for 2, I didn't think anything of it. Another half hour went but and some guests of 3 or 4 were going in. We inquired when we would be next? It was then when we learned that if we were ready for dinner, we were supposed to tip of little metal number on its side. We hadn't been told that. We were seated two hours and ten minutes after we arrived, at that point the bar was about half full as was the dinning room. The food was good as were the drinks, and everything was reasonably priced.
It was disappointing that the owner didn't offer something for their error, a small token of some type. Lessen learned.
That is the reason for the low service rating. I should mention that our waitress did a great job and was very attentive.
I would strongly encourage the bar staff to make sure everyone given a number knows the rules.

In town visiting at Calumet Park right up the street. The food and service was so good we came here 2 nights in a row! Fish, chicken, shrimp, soup and salad were all excellent. Can’t recommend anything else since I didn’t try it, but I feel confident it’s all high quality. If you’re near you should definitely stop in!

Tonight we traveled about 45 minutes south of Green Bay to try out Gobblers Knob.
To start I had a J. Henry Rye Whiskey Old Fashioned diet sweet. Really wish that it was muddled 😕
They have a nice sized salad bar which has two soup options as well as warm rolls. They also have a warm bacon dressing!
Both of the soups, Lemon Chicken and Beef and Potato, were very flavorful. The beef in the Beef and Potato soup was like chunks of leftover hamburger patties. It wasn’t bad, just not what was expected.
The fried haddock (lg portion) was four pieces and served with choice of potato. The batter was crispy and thin, but the fish overall lacked flavor. The potato that was ordered was hashbrowns which were like the ones you get from McDonald’s (which isn’t a bad thing at all).
The perch had a nice light cornmeal breading and came with two butterflies.
The baked haddock was overcooked but was seasoned well. It came with a loaded baked potato (just cheese, bacon and sour cream). You can get a stuffed baked potato which has mushrooms, onions, bacon and cheese.
The tartar sauce was exceptional and was one of the best we’ve had. It had a slight sweetness to it.
The ribeyes are thin and seasoned but could use maybe a touch more seasoning.
Overall it was a nice place and if you live close by, worth it.
Staff was extremely friendly, fast and personable. You can tell it is a local favorite and gives you Cheers vibes when you walk in.

I have been to many many supper clubs in Wisconsin and I have to say. THIS IS IT!!! This in my opinion is the best supper club in Wisconsin. Very small but very comfortable place. I can’t say how much I loved the food and the people. I truly am amazed by the quality and flavor of the food. Well worth the hour drive. One of the best True Wisconsin Supper Clubs.

First visit and without a doubt, we'll be back!
Liz at the bar was bubbly and attentive. Our server Paula was terrific, checked on us often, and made sure everything was great. We had a ribeye and scallops dinner and tenderloin dinner. We both ordered medium rare, and that's exactly how the steaks came. Perfect! Soup and salad are we're very good as well. The menu is just the right size and has something for everyone, without having too many items. Look forward to our next visit!

We went on a Wednesday night, it was not busy. Walked in, no bartender, 3 people at the bar. We waited about 5 minutes for 2 drinks, someone had to tell the bartender we were sitting at the bar for her to come out of the kitchen. We waited at the bar 20 minutes for a waitress to take our order. By this time we were the only people waiting at the bar. After 5 minutes, the waitress came back and told us our table number and to help ourselves to the salad bar. We had the salad bar which was ok, we have had better. Waited again 25 minutes without our food. We got up, paid for our salad bar and left. They did give us our food to go at no cost. Not impressed.

The worst dinning experience ever! Took two and a half hours to get to a table after checking in. People that came in after us got to eat before us and they don’t take reservations. Tenderloin was under cooked even after sending it back, ribeye was so thin (maybe 3/8” thick at best) that you could almost see through it and everything else was cold. The only good thing was the salad bar. I would not recommend eating here and will never return!

Waited 4 hours to eat, drinks were never the same price depending on what bartender you got. Tenderloin was so salty and cold it couldn’t be eaten, prime rib was also cold. Ordered asparagus as the vegetable choice, it came with a few asparagus tops mixed in with green beens. Those were also super salty and couldn’t eat them. The only positive was the waitress was nice and did what she could. Not a fan of the Knob Gobbler and will not be back

The highlight of Gobblers Knob was there service! Great staff from bar to dining room. What ruined it for us was the kitchen. Arrived at 5:30 and was given #14 for table seating. At 8:30 #19 which had as many as our table was seated prior to us. We complained and finally got our orders placed. When we finally were served, the prime rib was cold to the touch. The waitress returned it to the kitchen and they microwaved the meat. It was far too done at that point and inedible. The very kind waitress refunded us the meal minus the salad bar which was very good. We did tip her off of the total wmal and advised she keep that for herself instead of splitting it with other staff. I wish I would say is be back for another try, but the bar tab alone was $70 so I don't think I would return any time soon. Photos include proof that table 19 was seated prior to 14 and that the meat was so cold it caused the aus jus to curdle the fat from the temperature.

Great drinks and very delicious perch dinners. My husband had a brandy old fashioned and he said it was very good. We will definitely return again. The place gets busy pretty quick so be prepared for a wait if you come at 5:30/6:00pm.

My hands were a little tied with three kids last night so I didn’t capture a photo of my food! Sat at the bar upon arriving to wait for our friends to get there. Bartender was friendly and quick to refill drinks. Felt like forever until we were seated. My husband must not have paid attention to the bartender when she said if we were all ready to order, to turn our table number to the side so she could send out a waitress. So we were honestly sitting at the bar for 1.5 hours before we were seated in the dining room. This is probably my only complaint but before our kids were seated, they wanted to LOOK at the salad bar and an older waitress snapped at them to not touch. First of all, they weren’t. Later on, my friends almost four year old went to “help his dad” build his salad plate, he tried to touch (not even sure if he did) to put whatever it was in a bowl on the soup table into his plate and the same waitress snapped at him for touching/try to. My gosh. I think a three year olds hands are cleaner than men using restrooms without washing, people sitting at the bar handling money, people coughing in their hands, touching their face, is equally disgusting. I cannot stand rude people to small children. Anyways, back to the food. I ordered the 8oz tenderloin with scallops. I laughed when I saw the four measly scallops on my plate. However, the steak was phenomenal. Like, a 100/10. It was cooked to perfection. It was juicy. I could have cut it with a butter knife it was that juicy. The White Dove after dinner drinks last night too were delicious! We’ll have to remember the Gobblers Knob for future supper club ideas! We will definitely come back if the food continues to be like that!

Came here for the 1st time yesterday. Found out there are new owners. Was able to meet and talk with one of them. Very friendly and energetic! As far as the dining experience, the old fashions were great and the food was good. I had a 16 oz ribeye and my wife had tenderloin & perch. With inflation what is is I was pleasantly surprised on prices. Both dinners under $25 which included a soup & salad bar. These small town restaurants are the ones we really need to support. 35 minute drive for us but we will be back.

Our first visit here was great! Walked in... not being a local... and felt like we were treated like family. Sorry no pictures of the food. Small Town supper club, totally Wisconsin, totally amazing. You walk in, order a couple drinks at the bar, browse a menu, and when available, a wait staff member will come take your order, when you table is ready they will escort you to your table with salads and bread all ready at your table.
It's a simple menu with apps, steaks, some seafood, sandwiches, fish fry, broasted chicken and even a kids menu. They also have some amazing daily specials.
Their chicken is a must try, it's so tender and juicy. Also, I believe they make their own tarter sauce as well as a sour cream and herb blend that will make you want to dip your whole baked potato in it.
The staff here are simply amazing, they are friendly, accommodating, genuine and make the experience that much better.
After dinner, enjoy an after dinner drink if you'd like, then cruz down to Lake Winnebago and watch the sunset.

Had been excited to try a well loved Stockbridge institution. My family is from Stockbridge so this was cool to be in a place my grandparents hung out. Purchased 2 ribeye dinners to go. One steak had over 7 oz of unedible fat. No seasoning at all. Baked potato was older and soup tasted canned. Friendly service was very welcomed. However, they are not revisit list.

Friendly, nice great bartender,
Tenderloin and perch was excellent.
Steak done perfectly. I got perch yeah, not many restaurants in my neck of the woods ( Sheboygan county) have perch, it was very good. Husband had pork chops, they were very good and large.
WE WILL BE BACK.

The bartender was amazing! We talked to his parents who owned the restaurant for 45 years. Sweet people and a very friendly atmosphere. Great food and awesome service, we will be back!

I could not have been more disappointed at our most recent trip. We have been coming here once or twice a year for as long as I can remember.
Tonight, though, we have made our last trip.
We got here 6pm for the Friday fish fry. We ordered drinks at the bar... a standard whiskey old fashioned. I don't think the bartender put in more than a drop of whiskey. I was not satisfied with this.
The meal was the biggest disappointment of the evening. The breading on the fish was soggy and the whole dish wasn't really served hot, it's like it had just been at the bottom of a try being kept warm under lights for an hour or more.
I'm not sure what the tartar sauce was, it seemed like mayonnaise with a little water added to it. The bread just seemed to be a pack of rolls from the grocery store served in a basket.
The German potato salad has turned to mediocre.
Overall a major disappointment. My advice is to not return.

Great food.. Nice atmosphere. A bit disappointed w the service in the dining room...all you can eat chicken?? Not so much...had to ask and waited a long time for our food....would have liked more...gave up... But it was delicious.

The food was exceptional... Tenderloin was fork tender, shrimp and scallops we're cooked to perfection. Salad bar was small, but adequate. Service friendly and very quick with entrees. Will definitely be going again.
