Food is very basic, pretty much standard sysco bought food. Fries were hot and crisp, but lacked spice and flavor, which crinkle cut fries surely need. The tenders, again hot, and fairly crispy, but underseasoned, and just seemed like they were bought ready made from sysco. Service and atmosphere were great though.

We picked up a "Super Barrel" (24 pc + fries) for Father's Day lunch, and the tender, juicy chicken was a huge hit with Grandpa who wanted to eat the leftovers again for dinner. 24 pcs was a good fit for our group of 6 so that everyone could choose what they wanted and feel comfortable having a second piece or even a third; after lunch we had 2 breasts, 2 thighs and 6 wings leftover. Those of us who were staying for dinner were pretty glad to see those leftovers going into the refrig -- we were looking forward to snacking on them later! Reheating in the oven for 15 minutes (convection, 400º) brought the crispiness right back. Heads up: some of the "1" ratings were related to insignificant details which people shouldn't have rated them down for: phone ringing and ringing -- they answer the phone when they're open, but there isn't an answering machine if they're closed. A very nice guy took my order for the following day, and when we arrived a few minutes early, it was still being cooked. That order was ready and super hot, crispy and fresh, at the exact time we'd asked to pick it up.

My chicken could’ve cooked for another 2-3 mins and it would’ve been perfect. My pizza was okay, lacked flavor and reminded me of a frozen jacks pizza but the cheeseburger and fries were delicious! It's been mostly the same friendly faces working there as long as I've been going, and Inkeep going even though I personally don't like fried chicken. If you also don't like fried a chicken, they make burgers, fries, ice cream, and a tavern-cut thin crust that seems un-remarkable at first glance, but is lovingly crafted to competently exceed your expectations. I purchased a four piece chicken dinner and upon getting home I opened the bag to find my food very hard and burnt.The grease was old and dark which caused the color of my fries and chicken to be very dark and unattractive.The meal wasn't edible whatsoever! Best fried chicken in the city that I've had yet, my only gripe is that it could use a *touch* more s&p in the seasoning. But the chicken is SUPER juicy, breading is the perfect thickness to stay nice and crunchy. Fried okra is absolutely flawless, just again could use a touch more seasoning (and I really mean, just the tiniest bit more). But that also don't matter much when you bring some hot sauce into the equation! Prices are very reasonable too, $12 for a 4-pc plate with a good roll instead of soggy whitebread.

Ordered for pickup last night (12 pc chicken with fries annd extra slaw, two bags of cookies annd bottle of hot sauce) and the food was delicious, staff was exceptionally polite and service was great. Everything was in one bag and made it simple for me to grab and go. Initially I called and they said it would be ready in only 20 minutes but I got it in 13 and a half minutes which was quick. The guy was also answering the phone the whole time I was waiting in the lobby taking calls back to back and writing and he was polite to everyone who called and got there orders put out chronologically and timely manner. Will definitely come back again. Not sure what the other bad reviews are about, seems like they just have a lot of haters because they actually have good food and good service!!

I stopped in and said I had never been here so I needed a minute to order. The staff taking orders asked if I was ordering for 1 or a group and suggested the 4 chicken tenders plate or the ribs. I went with the tenders, but they didn’t give me tenders. I got 4 mixed pieces of chicken. I was the only one in there ordering with at least 3 staff who easily could hear my order. I don’t know if they thought it was a nice gesture to give me other chicken, they mixed up my order or just didn’t care. Just disappointed because I don’t like the style bone in chicken they gave me so it was a waste of my money and time. Just confused and disappointed. I think the chicken is worth getting for the area but I’d unfortunately feel the need to look at the order before walking out.

I order from here very often the food is always good I've honestly never had a problem with there food being cold or not there. I'll most likely be ordering from here as long as there open. I’ve been ordering since I move in to the area (2016) and it’s my go to place. I’ve tried others around me and nothing compares to Gold Rush. It’s always hot and I know it’s freshly cooked (I’ve picked up a few times). It’s moist and I believe it’s marinated too. The fish is awesome as well. I haven’t tried the ribs or pork chops yet but will at some point now that I am thinking of it. The pizza isn’t to bad (Only had it once). But I do have to say the fried chicken is up there at a high level. I also have to say when ordering for delivery the chicken is not soaked in grease to much when you receive it (what can you do when your transporting hot food). All in all I give a perfect 10 to them. So get your hot sauce or bbq and enjoy some great fried chicken. Delivery is pretty fast too (Live on the edge of there delivery area).

Edit- it is now 2023 and still my got to place. If you love fries chicken. They will not disappoint you. Same great taste as it was when I first ordered from them.

It tasted metallic and with a very unpleasant aftertaste. So, overall a pricey waste of money as the fish was $37. Definitely never ordering the fish from here again.
