Extremely friendly staff and owners. This is the 1st time I ate here. The food was not only exceptional but you got your money's worth and then some. Definitely no skimping. Really has gone down in quality. The staff was nice. I ordered the Swiss meatballs, when I started to eat the meat tasted like It had no seasoning and no flavor really disappointed. Needed to coat it in salt and pepper to experience anything. Only reason I didn't send it back to the kitchen was because I was in a party and didn't want to ruin the mood. I've had better tasting meat when visiting retirement homes. Never coming back unless forced to.

We dined in, and the food and service were beyond a 5-star rating. Our waitress was so nice, and the owner was absolutely amazing. She treated us like family, and as we left, one of the staff said "Goodbye beautiful people". Sincere kudos to the Owner and Gavin, the shift manager that worked quickly and effectively to accommodate a group of about 20 of us who desired an impromptu luncheon, following a somber morning of saying goodbye to a recently departed relative.
The staff pushed together tables & chairs, treated us like family! They accommodated all of our requests, which was wonderful!
The table was filled with many different selections off the menu and everyone enjoyed their meal.
A "family feel" and a level of service & genuine care that unfortunately we rarely see any more in the restaurant industry.

We went here last night for Friday night fish. We’ve always had good luck here with the food, but last night was not good. We’ve wanted perch but they were out, which is understandable, so we ordered the walleye which was not good. There was no flavor to it, the breading was way too thick and burnt, and the fish fillets were full of huge bones. I asked for cottage cheese instead of a potato and they did give it to me, but it was sour. The green beans were from a can and were bitter tasting and not edible. The salad was good. Our waitress was wonderful and accommodating. But overall very disappointed with the food.

My best friend and I just dined at your establishment. It was the greatest experience ever. Our waitress Maria, I hope I got it right was fantastic and really went the extra mile to take care of us. It was the day after St Patrick's Day and I wanted to have and enjoy St. Patrick's Day Corned Beef and Cabbage as I have had it every St. Patrick's Day since I graduated from North Kitsap High School in Poulsbo, Washington in 1967.
I have been a Chef / Kitchen Manager for over 20 years and trained thousands of Chef's, Cooks and restaurant personnel from Washington, Alaska, Oregon and Idaho. I was a Chef for Mr. Ted Betz, owner of the historic "Top Of The Ocean Restaurant on the Tacoma, Washington waterfront.
Our fantastic meal for me was Corned Beef and Cabbage with Horseradish to put on the Corned Beef. I also had your Chicken Dumpling Soup with extra crackers and Garlic Bread. Travis had the Corned Beef with Scrambled Eggs with Strawberry Cheesecake and I had Strawberry Shortcake.The meal was suppurb and the best place that we have eaten since moving to Green Bay on July of 2024. I will be bringing friends and people from Central Church breakfasts, lunches and dinners.
Your restaurant, I will recommend to everyone I know.

We had a group of four people. My husband ordered a prime rib SANDWICH and got a $30 prime rib. Daughter ordered steak n eggs with toast and only got the steak. Corn was brought out for each of us ( we never requested or was asked) and the corn was bla and COLD. Noodles under the tips had a soggy doneness taste. But tips were good. The place was packed, our waitress said she was on her 4th day working. We were offer strawberry shortcake which were huge pieces and the strawberries were pretty frozen. Round 3: Went back to try their port loin dinner. I don't often order pork loin at restaurants because it is thinner and leaner and can easily come out dry and a little tough. What an amazing dinner here, one of the best I've had in a while. Combining the pork, dressing, and rich dark gravy into one bite, it gave me a three-stage cascade effect. The pork was amazingly juicy and tender and hit first. Then came the rich, bready flavor of the stuffing, and finally the dark gravy did not overpower the first two but rather pulled everything together perfectly. Culinary heaven. Try it, you won't be disappointed!

Round 2: Went back on a Monday night to try the ribs. I usually prefer darker bbq sauces, so I was a little skeptical when I saw that their sauce was lighter in color. Well, one bite and I was in love. Oh my goodness. Bold, tangy, and all-around incredible. My wife said that I rolled my eyes with every bite. And, just like the first time, the staff were as friendly and coordial as one could ever hope for. I even chatted for a few minutes on the way out with the owner, and he gave me some insights into how they make their bbq sauce (e.g., 32 different ingredients). What a true gem in the GB culinary landscape!

Delightful place. The server was as friendly as I have ever seen, and the owner / manager stopped by half way through as well to make sure everything was okay. The seating and atmosphere is high-quality and even elegant. The food was great. My wife got the Cobb salad, which was huge, fresh, and had plenty of ingredients including meat. I got the Reuben sandwich, which was packed with meat and came with fries and really tasty home-made broccoli soup. Will definitely return, including to try the Monday night rib special!

I travel to the area on a 6 week basis. Always have it delivered to the hotel, never been in for myself. This place is my go to when I’m in the area. Generous portions, the fried chicken is the best I’ve had in a long time. The prices resemble a dive bar in the middle of nowhere, ultra affordable. Everything about Golden Basket Restaurant is done right. I can't say enough nice things about the wonderful staff. I came in and used the bathroom first, which was very clean and well maintained. Then u returned to the front, grabbed a menu and sat down on a bench. I was greeted by the owner and then a waiter, who took be to the bar seating area and gave me a glass of water while I looked over the menu. I couldn't help but watch this very efficient staff perform their duties. They are a well oiled machine and worked together to quickly get out orders and keep everything super clean. In the midst of this controlled chaos, they were very polite and friendly to guests and each other. While I waited (not long) for my order, the owner came over with a beautiful chocolate cream cake and offered me a piece because it was my first time there. What a lovely surprise! I can see just from their customer service why the restaurant was so busy. I took my order to go back to my hotel. I was not disappointed! I ordered a BLT, fruit, and Chicken Dumpling Soup. The BLT was still crispy and had just the right amount of mayonnaise. The Chicken and Dumpling Soup was full of yummy chicken and soft Dumplings. The broth was rich and seasoned nicely. It also came with bread and a huge handful of crackers! The cake was out of this world. More European than American, if you don't mind me saying. It was rich and chocolatey without being too sweet. Picked up some takeout from here a few nights ago and was very satisfied with the value and level of customer service I received. When I arrived, I was greeted by name and my order was carefully packed and ready to go. Had steak and shrimp. The steak came out with zero flavor. I had to ask for steak sauce, which I hate doing, and is a clear sign the steak was lacking. The saving grace was the strawberry shortcake desert!

Had stopped in after an appointment to grab food and was very disappointed in it. Steak was very metallic / metal tasting and came out super watery. It came out well done when I asked for medium rare, some of the fruit was old and soggy. I’ve came here before for their breakfast and it was pretty good, i thought it’d be the same for lunch/dinner but it wasn’t. Service was excellent!!! Server knew the menu pretty well and he was nice enough to speak to the manager to remove steak from my bill. I did eat the Chicken Noodle soup and it was pretty good, just a bit too greasy & bread was good as well. I’d suggest this restaurant for breakfast but ditch the idea of steak.

not sure if the soup recipe changed or if my taste buds changed from being pregnant but I used to love their chicken dumpling soup and it tastes so bland now! I don’t understand 😭 I try to order from here once a month and the last 2 times it just hasn’t tasted the same, I still love this place though 💖

When I stop in green Bay this is my go to restaurant. Love everything about it reminds me of my dad's favorite restaurant in Milwaukee . omegas. On 27th and Morgan. Which is the start of highway 36 that goes south.

I am truly the least picky eater ever, so I normally give good or great reviews to most of the places I go, because most of them are small businesses working hard and doing their best. However, this is one visit that I cannot give good marks for. Service was quick and friendly, and our food came out quickly. I took a picture of the menu due to the following reason: I ordered the meatloaf dinner, which says it's "made from scratch" per the menu. But literally nothing on my plate was made from scratch - mashed potatoes were fake, gravy came straight out of a bag, and the meatloaf was clearly cut from a shaped gelatinous something. Not great. My wife ordered the nacho platter, which is gluten-free, and she said "it was ok". Overall, a disappointment.

I hadn't been here in many years and decided to go last night. While the food was good the service was lacking. The gentleman that was my server took my order and that was the last time he came to my table until I finished my meal. The place wasn't overly busy but he seemed overwhelmed and under trained. Definitely would go back and hope to get a better server.

I was there Sunday afternoon with my son and his grandmother we had a very pleasant time service was amazing the food was even better the atmosphere was very homey we definitely look forward to going back and enjoying their delicious food there. Encourage all my friends and family to please stop in enjoy yourself a nice brunch or lunch and let me know what you think. Meet the owner who was awesome. Bought me a beer. Food was absolutely amazing desserts we're also amazing as well. I bought 6 different deserts because they all looked so good. Soup was great left very satisfied and full. I am from. Milwaukee here working and they are across the street where I am staying here in GB. Will definitely be going back I can't say enough good things about this place. It's a wonderful family restaurant that was stated by the now owners father who has since retired along with his mother. Now the son runs it who does an amazing job. Thank you for the beer and great food. Will definitely be back next week when I return for work.

Went here after my daughter’s cross country meet. Staff were very friendly and prompt. Daughter had the broasted chicken and said it was amazing. I had the gyro platter. So much gyro meat and feta cheese. This was also very good. Salads were fresh. Even let my daughter take her included dessert home because she was too full to eat it there. When we are in Green Bay again we will definitely stop in to try something else.
