Very nice the ambient and servers, everything tasted perfectly and our server was constantly checking in if we need coffee or anything else. I would definitely go back here for the biscuits and gravy, absolutely delicious. 10/10 it just does get busy after 10 which gets a little loud if you're sensitive to noise, but overall very calm and enjoyable.

OK, it’s time for my review of this establishment. As you can see, I gave it 5⭐️s across the board. Deservingly so. I have now visited this restaurant seven times since June 20, 2025. I have nothing but praise for the entire staff at this restaurant. As I told one of the servers after one of my meals, “Good eats! Good people! Great atmosphere!” my first visit I had the prime rib sandwich, second visit I had the pan fried walleye, next visit was the beer battered walleye, next was the chicken Parmesan with the spaghetti and meat sauce, then I tried the biscuits and gravy with chicken fried steak, next was the liver and onions, and this morning I had the biscuits and gravy with chicken fried steak again. Not once disappointed. I highly recommend this restaurant.👍🏼

I had the country fried steak, which came with hashbrowns, pancakes, and two eggs. Definitely a hearty meal and appreciated the decent pricing. The decor was nice and simple and I was very impressed with the waitress and her continuing to check up on us and get refills and make sure we had a good time. At one point, we said something wrong and she didn’t quite realize it and then another time she said something wrong and we didn’t quite realize it but both times, she gave us the benefit of the doubt and laughed it off and then when we all realized what we weren’t understanding, we realize she was very gracious and humble. Definitely appreciate someone like that and glad places like this hire top notch people like that.

A year ago we stopped in based on the ratings. I ordered soft scrambled eggs, hash browns that are not crispy, and lightly toasted wheat bread. And bacon, of course. I was served hard scrambled eggs, crispy hash browns, and hard toasted bread. And very thin bacon.

The seating was not very comfortable.

We are visiting the area, again this year, and I will not return for another disappointing breakfast.

Our family met here for breakfast and the food was fabulous!! They even had some gluten free options.🎉 Our waitress was wonderful, even when she spilled coffee into my purse.

The only downside was that we had to sit in the supply closet. 🫤 So if you are looking for atmosphere for a group of 8, you may want to find another spot. But if you just want amazing food, this is the place to be!

I ordered breakfast for the first time since they switched owners, and changed the name. Let me just say I was beyond surprised everything tasted so good ,and nothing was overcooked. The portion for a breakfast meal is actually enough for two people ,and for the price I'd say its a good deal. I had had breakfast there before however I didn't quite like the way things were cooked , it didn't satisfy my taste buds ,and the overall quality of the food just wasn't to my liking . I have high hopes that even though the menu has many different items ,and lots of items are still available from the old menu that the way its made will be different. Would definitely recommend for breakfast! Can't speak on lunch or dinner yet.

Watertown: we have a family restaurant, something not in a bar! From the savory, homemade chicken dumpling soup, to the sweet creamy coleslaw, my 3 piece fish fry dinner was wonderful! The portions were beyond generous (I'm ordering the 2 pc next time!) The fish was battered just right, not too heavy- not greasy! The cod was meaty and tender. Everything is homemade and real, no margarine or processed short cuts here. This is the nice family restaurant you want to eat at when you need the night off from cooking but still want a good meal. Golden Spoon gave us a great value for our money, fantastic portions for really reasonable prices. I highly recommend this restaurant and we will be back! The service was fast & friendly, too!!
