Every time I order from here they’re missing something when I get home and the days that I check in the store there’s nothing missing. These people are horrible. It’s all about quantity not quantity. My order was messed up. It’s not what I ordered. I feel like I’m gonna eat a tree of blueberries. Two orders of bacon never got them. You guys are disgusting.

The food was great. It was also a huge amount of food and more than one person could have so it was a great value. The gluten-free pancakes were out of this world. The thing to note is that it seemed my server didn’t even know she was assigned my table, so it took a while for her to greet me And then once I got my food, she didn’t check back with me until it was time for me to ask for boxes. Based on the photo alone, I see why the parking lot is usually so busy.

If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would. This was my first time dining here. I ordered the Crab Cake Eggs Benedict. Finding a good Eggs Benedict can be hard to find, finding a good crab cake Benedict is even a bigger challenge. Good Day Cafe’s was better than good, - it was one of the best I have ever eaten. The crab cakes were moist and actually tasted like crab, they were better than excellent!!!! The eggs were poached and seasoned perfectly and the English muffins were tender and tasty. All this deliciousness was generously topped with a Hollandaise sauce that was very likely the most flavorful hollandaise I have ever had, even better than my homemade version.
Our waitress was very friendly and professional and took time to talk with us. I did not need to ask for a coffee refill as she was on top of it. It seems most diners no longer offer refills unless you ask.
The restaurant is very clean and organized. Apparently the locals enjoy this diner as well. It was very busy and stayed full, as soon as a table emptied it was immediately filled.

Went on Saturday morning and had Stephanie as our waitress. From the onset, she was phenomenal. We sat outside and it was kinda looking a bit stormy and she kept an eye on the weather for us. The food was really good and the servings were plenty. We will definitely be back!

First time here. Met someone for a light breakfast. It's a decent-looking place. There are plenty of spots to sit, including tables, booths, or a bar. There are some windows in the front that offer natural light, but I would have preferred more. A couple of TVs are mounted on the walls showing daytime TV programs (not a fan of those either).

Got a booth by the front wall. We received our waters and placed orders for yogurt parfaits. The food came out in short order. There was a good amount of yogurt, fruit, granola, and a bit of honey drizzle. The presentation looked like someone was in a big hurry (maybe arrange the different parts together instead of piling everything on?)

Our server was efficient but not especially friendly — not much of a greeting or a smile. Maybe they were having a bad day?

Overall, I would rate the experience as "okay" — not nearly good enough to make me want to come back.

The food was delicious! The portion sizes are huge, so my recommendation is to come in and split a meal. It is more than enough food for two, and they charge $2 to divide the food into two meals on two plates rather than one.

We got the grilled salmon and eggs with pancakes and we split it between two. It cost only $12 per person for what was a huge plate of delicious food!

The coffee was hot and just right not to strong or weak. Our waitress was prompt thorough and very friendly. I had the hungry man breakfast the scrambled eggs were cooked in butter correctly not runny but not over cooked and not over seasoned allowing me to season to my taste. The bacun was excellent, flavorful and not to salty cooked thoroughly without being burned to a crisp the sausage was a decent breakfast sausage 2 good sized links with a thickish natural casing firm dense pork filling with good pork flavor. The 3 pancakes were large about 10-11 inches sprinkled with powdered sugar served with a generous amount of butter and served hot enough the butter melted right in the syrup seemed to be a generic maple flavor a slight disappointment the pancakes deserved a real maple syrup. I don't care for the red potatoes offered and instead had the optional fruit dish. The fruit turned out to be a wonderful choice I highly recommend it, what a refreshing surprise nothing like the under ripe fruit normally served it was wonderfully ripe the pineapple was sweet as only a fully ripe pineapple is the ripe cantaloupe was soft and juicy as was the honeydew I will have the fruit everytime. One of the best breakfasts I've had in a while I'm sure going to eat there again and I intend to try their lunch menu soon.

Sunday was buusssyyyy! I want to give them props for the amount of people that came into this restaurant while we were there!!
The ladies at the bar were friendly. It was pretty evident that the team could have used a few more servers and maybe an extra hand or two in the kitchen. I’d be willing to give them a try again, maybe not during their after-church-rush though.
We came in for a 4 top, and were told 15-20 minutes for the wait, just after Noon. Some time had passed the host flagged me down, noticing that we hadn’t been seated yet — he seemed very confused, chatted with a server, and told me it would be just a bit longer. We ended up getting seated at about the 45 minute mark, but it was fine because we knew what we were going to order.
The server was somewhat understandably short with us at first (again, it was soooo busy!) — about 10 minutes after getting seated, she asked if we were ready to order drinks and we replied that we were and would be ready to order meals, too. She was a tad gruff in saying drinks first and she’s come back for the entrees. It wasn’t terribly long after that she came back with drinks and took our orders. I would get the avocado toast again. The peppers flakes on it were an addition I’d never thought to add before! I failed to read that the eggs come runny — yuck 😅 but that was totally on me! My husband liked them just fine. Hah!
The Spiked Rootbeer was pretty bland… more whipped cream than anything else.
Pancakes were a hit at the table!! We did have to ask for a few of the sides that were forgotten, but when they came out they were fresh.
The lead or the manager was annoyed when we asked if one of the three TVs we could see from our table would possibly have the Brewers game on. Totally okay that they couldn’t!! But the tude behind the response was visible whether she meant it to be, behind the bar, or not.

** Not part of the rating but I feel compelled to note… West Bend, I witnessed some pretty gross behavior towards the server(s), who I believe was really doing their best during the few hours we were there — snapping fingers, huffing about, rolling eyes… Do better. The service industry is tough enough. **

This is I think the fourth or fifth time I have been to this restaurant and the food is always excellent but I feel like the restaurant has too many tables for the number of servers. I see the servers rushing around trying to be pleasant but very stressed. I don't blame them. I blame ownership for this. If you don't have enough servers to handle the number of tables, then don't seat people at all of the tables. I have seen other restaurants not all all the tables as of late and really applaud them for doing so. We had a reservation for Father's Day for 11:30 and didn't get our food until 12:30. Great food, but the people I was with were getting anxious, and the waitress apologized. When we finally got most of the food (some didn't make it out until after some people we 1/2 way through their meal) the waitress didn't have time to come back and get more drinks or etc. I rated the atmosphere low because I didn't want the servers to take the blame. Sorry to say I won't be back again soon as this repeated experience is frustrating.

Nice cafe, the menu was primarily breakfast items but they did have a daily special menu. I had the parmesan chicken served in a bed of spaghetti and sauce. It was very good but a lot of spaghetti, I needed a go box for the chicken as it was 2 large chicken breast, I only took 1/2 of the spaghetti but had a very nice 2nd meal from it.

My family and I went here for my grandmother’s birthday and we will NOT be back. The food was extremely overpriced for average quality and portions. My 12 year old daughter was denied a kids meal and had to buy an expensive adult plate which she was no where close to finishing. I had to pay for my refills and my total was over $120 for 5 people. The service was poor and the food was average at best. Overall, I would never in a million years recommend this establishment. If I could give 0 stars I would.

The staff was great. Food was mouth watering and big proportions. My wife loves eggs Benedict, and she said that these were made to perfection. I went with meat loaf and mash potatoes (recommend by the staff), and I must say that it was delicious. I have never had meat loaf with gravy on them, and these also had a bit of chilli powder added to them. My oldest had chicken Alfredo with broccoli, this is often her go to, so we have eaten this meal a lot. Wow, I'm sure you get a breast and a half of chicken, and the flavor that they packed into this meal was one of a kind. Even the garlic toast you get with it has jaw dropping and you don't want it to end.

UPDATE: I visited on New Years Eve. The restaurant was packed. I got seated immediately. My potatoes and pancakes were barely warm, and the eggs were missing from my order. My waitress, Steph, took my potatoes back to be heated and get my eggs. The potatoes and eggs came back nice and hot. I also had the chicken fried steak, which was delicious. Portions are large.

Steph was a great waitress, ensuring I enjoyed my meal.

UPDATE #2: I guess the only time I can expect good food and good service is if I visit only when it's busy. The service today (2/27) was extremely poor. I ordered the chicken fried steak with hashbrowns, 2 over easy eggs, and pancakes with coffee. When the waitress brought my food,I apologized and asked it i could have my hashbrowns extra crispy. While waiting for the hashbrowns, I started on my eggs. They were COLD. I then started on the chicken fried steak. It was barely warm, and the gravy was starting to congeal on the plate. The pancakes were also cold. Not once did my waitress ever all me about my food, and I was never offered a warm-up on my coffee. After I pushed my plate away because the food was too cold to eat, the waitress asked me if I wanted a box. I said yes, and I'd like my hashbrowns also. This was at least a half hour after she sent them back. She brought them out. The plate was warm, but the hashbrowns were totally cold, and they weren't crispy like I asked. It appears they were only transferred to a warm plate.

Now, the restaurant wasn't very busy. Much the same as my first visit. I will not go back for a weekday breakfast.

I have her a penny tip and left a note on the receipt that the service was very poor.

My sister lives in Fondy & I'm in Brown Deer so we meet in West Bend for lunch. We tired of Applebee's & decided to try Good Day Cafe & there's no going back for us. My sister has hearing aids & music at other places are usually very loud making conversation hard. Not here! Wonderfully decorated, comfortable & no one rushing us to leave. The menu is full with breakfast & lunch. Fresh flavorful fruit & I had a multi grain bread that tasted homemade! We strongly urge everyone to check it out.

My partner and I were in the area, never been to this restaurant before. The breakfast was a great size, everything was cooked to perfection, the staff is welcoming, kind and attentive! 10/10 recommend giving this place a try! Would make the 40 min trip just to have a nice breakfast here again!

We came for breakfast, and we didn't have to wait long to be seated. It was busy, but everything felt extremely rushed. Our server was friendly and provided great service. I ordered lemon and blueberry crepes. I didn't like them because they were overcooked, the blueberry tasted like it came from a can, the lemon custard filing was too sweet, and there was just too much filing put inside of each crepe. I don't know that I'll return.

My reason for the 4 star is we had a table of six and the waitress told us that they normally do not allow a split ticket. Why not? I also have an issue when a business charges 3.5% if you pay with a credit card. Isn't that your cost of doing business? Then the ticket shows a minimum tip of 18% on up or something else? A $25.00 breakfast including two OJ's is just getting too expensive. Saying that, the service was efficient, the food was good and the restaurant appeared clean. We stopped in at 10:00 AM on a Saturday and they did manage to seat us right away.

Don't tell your customers that they get a discount for using cash but you charge them for a card they never used in the first place. That's not a discount that's only take the bill to what it should been. The note on door should read " there's an up charge for using credit/debt cards." Cause there is no discount

The food was Very good, we had the eggs toast with seasoned potatoes and guacamole toast, I had the Cherry pecan chocolate crepes. There was a lot of food that sounded really good on the menu and it was tough to decide what to get.

The food was amazing. The service was super fast my buttermilk pancakes with with cherry sauce was amazing. My bacon was fresh. The waitress were so nice. my orange juice was amazing it was so quiet it was so relaxing.

All of the food was VERY bland. The potatoes were very sweet. We got a skillet and an omelette.

The worst part though, was it was insanely cold inside the building. My wife actually went back out to the car and got our spring jackets. We had to eat in our jackets. Ridiculous. And it was still cold! Everyone in the place was clearly freezing, just by looking around. It's 70 degrees outside today.

Me and my aunt went for a brunch, we got sat and waited 10 minutes before even receiving our drinks, we finally received our drinks (the host brought them out NOT our server), then our server finally came over, not super smiley or happy to be there whatsoever we had Ruby and we ordered, and the food got brought out quick it was super good which is why that got a 5, but when Ruby brought out the food she kind’ve slammed it on the table, and didnt check back on us until we were just about done, we weren’t rude whatsoever so don’t know what her problem was. But yeah food great, service bad.

I’ve been here 3 times with a friend of mine for brunch and every single visit, we could barely make it home on time for the bathroom.

The food doesn’t taste bad, but it’s completely saturated in grease/oils. The dining service was always a pleasant experience. The diner itself just feels like the same thing that building has always been -mediocre.

I’m shocked that so many people love this place but honestly, many people in this town are used to eating non-healthy foods.

For those who enjoy cleaner eating, I suggest staying clear of this place.

If you don’t mind a drive, First Watch in Mequon has the BEST brunch!

We have been coming back over and over to the Good Day Cafe. We love the convenient location, ample parking and clean restaurant - but mostly we love the menu, generous portions, friendly staff, drink options and yummy food! Sometimes we come as a family, bring out of town guests, but I often come with my kiddos for a Saturday morning treat. The kids menu is really nice and the portions are huge. My little boy orders the fruity pebble pancake & my daughter loves “French fries and chicken”. Their chicken tenders taste like delicious broasted chicken and I’m not mad about getting my share of leftovers - if they come my way. I often get an omelet with their delicious fresh fruit, toast and jam. Today my son ordered hot chocolate (it’s almost Christmas) and he got festive sprinkles and a candy cane on the side. All those extra touches make us love coming even more. The staff is always so lovely and does a great job of checking in with us throughout our meal to make sure all is great. We’ve had a small wait a few times, but it usually moves quickly and so does their service. We enjoy this place very much and look forward to the treat of visiting!
