Roadside sandwich stop on a motorcycle club ride. Our group with a ataggeref arrival seemed to overwhelm them. Sandwich was good and hot, but had a lengthy wait. Without our group, it looked like they'd have been near empty, so they were probably not staffed for a crowd. Sandwich was tasty and well prepared. Mc Donald's 1/4 lb cheese burger is bigger than there 1/3 pound pattie , at 15.00 I could of ate at mc Donald's and been better satisfied then the crispy burnt outside and still pink inside paper thin patty , but the fries were great, meat ball sub , not what you expect, 4" French bread slice with 4 meat balls ask for cheese was not on sandwich and then had to ask again, over priced food and disappointed me for the money

Called well in advance (days) to let them know a large group of 14 were coming. They called the day before to verify. When we arrived they didn't have a thing set up but did quickly enough. Food was good, reasonably priced and excellent portions. The service that day was very slow. We had to go to the bar ourselves numerous times for refills, they kept forgetting our orders. It was a mess but it was quite busy.

While traveling in the area, we came upon the Great River Roadhouse. We were greeted immediately with a smile, shown to our table and given menus. Our waitress came to take our drink order, she was very friendly and outgoing, and really pleasant. The food was absolutely amazing. Visited De Soto for a short trip and was suggested Great River Roadhouse and it did not disappoint! The patty melt was amazing as well as the mozzarella sticks, spinach and artichoke dip! This is the perfect place to drop in when you are in the mood for a leisurely dinner evening! No rushing things here. The food is great, the small size pizza is actually a whopper, good enough for 4 hungry mouths, and the atmosphere is friendly, warm and delightful. The decor takes you back to a time when steamboats rolled down the Mississippi River it hugs!

Stopped in for lunch on a Friday and ordered the Breaded Cod fish fry. The cod was lightly breaded and fried perfectly. I upgraded the fries to onion rings, very good, and had the coleslaw as well. They served a side of garlic toast with a marinara dipping sauce. I stopped in at about 2 pm so it was not busy at all. The food was served very quickly. Apparently they are known for their homemade pizza, I want to stop back and try that soon.

The food was delicious, you can tell they do a lot of in-house recipes. We had their pizza because as we walked in we noticed just about every table had a pizza! (Thin crust) high quality cheese and ingredients and the sauce was great! My daughter got their walleye sandwich, good size pice of walleye and the batter was amazing, clean and crispy! Needles to say that sandwich didn't have a chance after that first bite! I will be recommending them to every I talk to! Service was prompted and food came out hot! It was a busy Sunday! My wife was hungry for pizza so I found this bar/restaurant by chance on Google. It looked like a bar on the outside but it had a nice restaurant feel on the inside. Our waitress was genuinely friendly to us and answered all our questions about the pizza. So, I am not kidding at all when I say this is the best pizza I have ever had. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. We ordered the small Chicken Cordon Bleu pizza with the thick crust. It tasted amazing! The small size was a 14" pizza but we were proud of ourselves for getting through almost half of it. It was so filling but tasted so good. 😊 The restaurant is well lit, accessible, easy to park, and had clean bathrooms. I thought, looking at the menu, the prices were pretty high for pizza, but after getting it, I realized why. It's worth every bit.

Even though my friend got my chicken parm sandwich today instead of the Jimmy bomb like we had ordered, it was quite exceptional service. The pizza is well known and but I can't believe I'm saying this, but there was entirely way too much cheese on it. It was so weighed down by it and you tasted nothing else.

Went back again August 2024....hostess forgot to call us in from outside but crossed our name off...our wait was definitely extended. Our stop here for appetizers and a drink was great. It was crowded, and there was a bridal party, but the service was great! They got us our drinks, told us how long it would be, and it was spot on. Drinks were good, with fresh ingredients, fresh fruit garnishes. Appetizers were also delicious. Hubby had sliders and fries, I had chicken fingers. We sat on the patio, overlooking the Mississippi River, with views of the bluffs. They played 80's music, and a mix of tourists and locals were there. This is a fun stop for food, drinks, or people watching.

We make a point to go to DeSoto to stop at the Great River Roadhouse every time we go out to Ferryville.
The service is fantastic! The portions are out of control in a good way!

The pizza is so good! First of all we ordered the large and it was gigantic! We had sausage and pepperoni. The ingredients were definitely quality. The sauce was amazing. The crust was perfectly thin.

I came here with my brother and his wife last night for some pizza and mozzarella sticks. As someone who worked here back in the day during the former ownership, I feel like this place has now exceeded what it once was. The pizza had a really crispy crust (not soggy), the topping was plentiful, and everything was held together well. The mozzarella sticks were HUGE but really yummy too. Our server was really attentive and helpful, and meeting the owner was really nice, he seemed like a really nice guy.
