I've dined in many times over the years and semi-regularly order delivery. Excellent food and service with very few exceptions. Everything overall has always been relatively clean. Bathrooms have always been very clean in my experience. Buffet options are very good, consistent and predictable from one visit to the next.

We were there for lunch with two parties of three people. Everyone agreed that the food was quite good. The young man that was working as both host and beverage server was polite and friendly. It is a simple buffet restaurant style. There aren't any frills, but it was clean and the prices were appropriate.

Great service. We were the only people in the place and the servers asked what we wanted made fresh. You don't get that at many Chinese buffets. They even brought us a whole plate of fresh dumplings, right to the table. Food was amazing.

My husband and I have our favorite Chinese buffet and this was not it. We wanted to try this place and wished we hadn't. I wanted to run the first few minutes we even entered the run down building. Where do I start well first off the service sucked! The "kid" was non approachable because he was to busy on his phone to care about his customers. While he was on his phone our plates stacked up, drinks were empty. I finally made eye contact and motioned to please come to our table. He brings back a pop with no ice when I wanted ice. Never asks my husband if he wanted a refill and goes back to sit down and on his phone again. The food lacked any sort of flavor, everything we ate was dry, cold and tasted odd. The last straw was the bathroom. Someone had cleaned the floors thank goodness however neglected to fill the toilet paper. So as I came out and noticed the young man still on his phone, I mentioned to him that the ladies restroom did not have any toilet paper in the one stall. He continued to not acknowledge I was even talking and I said we will not be returning thank you for not making us a customer of this establishment. I felt that giving him the tip that I did was not something that he even earned but I did it anyways with regret. We left their feeling like I hope we don't get sick and I wanted to make sure everyone knew what our experience was like. If you do go, go with caution.

Very glad to have been informed that they aren't ONLY a buffet. Their takeout is very good. I haven't eaten from the buffet yet. The takeout is always packed very neatly and I like that the containers are the reusable sort. You can but the same ones from Walmart, in fact. (I know because I bought some before I was told I could order rout from there lol)
I live maybe 3 minutes from the restaurant so my food is always nice and steamy when I sit and eat.
I like to order the shrimp and cashew nuts and the shrimps are a good size. Good amount of shrimp too.
I only wish there weren't so much celary. I love dipping my crab Rangoon into the leftover sauce!

I normally go to the Great Wall in Viroqua and I've never had a bad experience there, so I figured I'd give the Sparta location a try while I was in the area. Big mistake.

I ordered the chicken on sticks appetizers and the House Special Lo Mein. The chicken sticks were decent, but they commited an unforgivable sin in my opinion on the Lo Mein. There was not a single piece of meat in the entire thing. I was charged for the House Special, which is supposed to have a mix of chicken, pork, beef, and shrimp...yet there was nothing but vegetables and noodles.

If you decide to get food from here to go, make sure you check your order before leaving.

Perfect!!! I was THAT picky customer who called in a pick-up order and wanted to be sure it was right. (The bowl was full before I took this picture.). It was the #116 Pork & Scallion which is Spicy/Hot. (We got several other items which were all excellent too.). They give such generous portions that, along with a Shrimp Egg Roll and a couple Crab Rangoon, I have leftovers!
Worth every penny and then some.
The person who took my order, over the phone, also wanted to be sure everything was right.
Been a loyal customer for years. First time though to speak out on the wonderful food and service.

Very disappointed tonight with my meal. Ordered online for 4:45 pickup time arrived and still waited until 5:05 to get my single dish I ordered. My egg roll was cold when I got home and I’m only 1/2 mile from the place. My sesame chicken was stuck together and the pork in my fried rice was like it was warmed up. Last time I had a takeout from there in November it was delicious and piping hot. Tonight’s was like it was all warmed up or left under a light way to long.

Stopped in for dinner(buffet), halfway through my 3rd plate I found huge chunks of gristle in 2 of the 3 dishes. Chicken gristle🤢🤮. Everything was chicken and canned shrimp. I saw a tiny bit of beef but very little. No pork offered on buffet. The food tasted like they are definitely cutting corners and trying to make the most money possible. What bolsters that statement is they charged me $15.75 for a one person buffet! In my opinion you don't pay more than $13.00 for a good Chinese buffet and that's for a good one! There was also a present fish/taste to the food? Kind of where you know it's fish taste but you can't place it fully. I almost barfed.
Definitely will NOT return. Yuck and overpriced.
