Ok, so this is 2 different review ratings. Take into consideration we arrived just after a huge rush (possibly bus) of people. We sat at the end of the bar in front of the glass wash station. Our waitress was pleasant despite. She checked in with us a few times during our meal. The prices are comperable to other similar establishments but I feel the portions here make it one step above. The wings are the huge sized wings if you like those. The curly fries (for the 2nd time) were overcooked and crunchy. They have 1919 root beer on it's own tap! It was fun to just look around at the decor and play "I Spy". The restrooms were pleasant.

Now, the part I hope the owner reads. There was a busboy, whom I feel may be family, "working" there. I surmised this because if I were one of those waitresses, I'd have had some WORDS long ago. I can honestly say this young man is probably costing you way more money than having him there, unless your sole reason is to keep him out of trouble...even so.

He was very obviously working harder at not working than actually doing so. I feel like this is a very common example of our youth as a whole right now. He literally, for our ENTIRE stay (which took double the time as any usual meal does due to the kitchen being so slow) basically shuffled in front of us getting in the way of every waitress trying to do their job. He opened the coolers repeatedly turning labels, looking like he was checking stock, etc. I'm certain the bottles ended up being 4 degrees warmer, especially when he left the doors cracked open.

Waitresses were carrying LOADS of dishes to the back and only occasionally, when he noticed, would he go back to the kitchen only to emerge right back in front of us. He seemed to like washing glasses though. Just one or two he'd slowly concentrate on them spending as much time as possible. Nothing like someone's face constantly inches from your food.

Another time after coming from the back, he switched the big screen from football to car racing, which was also on the smaller TV. People were mildly watching the game. They had to ask a waitress to switch it back.

When we were finished with our meals, we neatly stacked the tray/basket/silverware with the napkins on top, clearly indicating they were ready to be taken, at the edge of the bar, pretty much right under his nose as he washed glasses. Nope, the lightbulb didn't go on. A waitress came and took mine away. My Mom finished hers later and did the same. Still he didn't get a clue.

I could see the frustration on the other's faces. I was exhausted just watching him do absolutely nothing. PLEASE teach this young man manners, consideration, work ethic, and teamwork. If he plans to go into management of any kind, nevermind, carry on. At the very least, find someplace else for him to be and alleviate the frustration for those employees who ARE trying to do their jobs. On the flip side, if I were to give the benefit of the doubt, perhaps he was doing his intended job of monitoring other employees to ensure everything is on the up and up and to report back.

In any case, this seems to be going more into a rant than a review of the establishment. Love Gronk's in general and look forward for an opportunity to stop in when I'm in town. Don't miss out!

We had the Wednesday special prime rib sandwich basket. To go we were staying at the hotel next door. Fries were soggy and under cooked 😔 but worst of all the prime rib sandwich was dry dry dry hard as leather. Gross 🤢 the bun was good though. And the coleslaw. Lol it was in a condiment container the size of a shot glass. Two tablespoons. Wow did I even taste it. I know it's bar food . But they changed like it was a fancy sit down restaurant. It was 4 in the afternoon on a Wednesday not bizy but loud with kids playing. The table we sat at to wait for our order was sticky. and there was several flies bugging us. like you couldn't even get rid of them landing on your face and everything. Also the kid that took care of my bill had to ask for help figuring out how much change to give back to me as I paid with cash🤷

We just had an incredible meal, with great service, and smooth creamy draft beer. We were passing through Superior Wisconsin. As Chicagoans we are familiar with tasty creative burgers. However, their burger of the month was one of the best creations we have tasted. Sauerkraut, bratwurst, grilled onions, beer cheese, on garlic toast..oh yeah the burger in there was cooked just right. My wife and I split it along with a loaded baked potato. The burger came with home cut fries. Service was friendly. The northwoods feel to the bar and multiple draft beer choices complimented excellent friendly service. We would love to stop there again on our travels.

Cool little hole in the wall BUT that's about the ONLY thing it has going for it. Seat yourself, ordered water and a soda. Looked over the menu and settled on the White Cheddar Cheese Curds, I had the special of chili cheese dogs(2) and he had the Chili Cheese burger and one Indian taco. When asking about the Indian taco she said its pita bread with ground chili. When I ordered the dogs she asked how many and said they were small, they were $1 each so figured they were mini dogs and ordered two. The food took so long to come out and when we finally got it all of it was cold. To my point, the Cheese on the chili dogs was not melted and did not ever melt. The solid cheese curds dip of marinara was warmer than the cheese curds. The Indian taco was literally a taco with pita bread so it has cheese, lettuce, sour cream and tomatoes. Why its called an Indian taco I guess is because of the pita bread. There were no onions on the dogs AND they were regular size hot dogs. Great deal if you like cold hotdogs, cold chili and shredded cheese. She refilled our glasses once and that was as she brought us the check. While there another couple left because they never saw a waitress to order and had finished both of their drinks. Bathrooms are clean, pull tab machine is fun but not worth the $40.

I have a allergy to beef when still pink/raw inside. If well done im allowed to eat beef. I have NEVER had an issue before ordering and getting well done food. I called to let them know it was not well done. They offered to remake said Burger. I declined as I will already be having an allergic reaction. Instead of offering refund as i was willing to bring said burger back in to prove it was pink/raw in the middle. The ashley or what ever the young ladies name was said maybe next time since they have an extensive menu maybe I should not order something im allergic to rather than the burger I have ordered for 10 yrs very well done with no issues. I will not be returning. As their response to such is maybe order something else on the menu. Wonder if they say that to other customers who have allergies.

4 of us tried eating here for the 2nd time. We didn't think it could be as bad as the first experience but to our surprise, it was even worse! It was Saturday evening, not busy at all and our food took over an hour. Two sandwiches and some wings should not take that long. When the food came out there was one slice of meat on both sandwiches and they looked horrible. We refused, paid for our drinks and left. The server checked on us one time during our visit, about a half hour after our first round was gone. Was never apologetic, didn't ask to make anything right just said it was hot out and the cooks were overwhelmed. I'd hate to see how they do when the place is busy! Another group left for the same reason right after us. We won't be back. Not sure how this place gets good reviews.

This was not a great visit. It was a Tuesday and it was super under whelming. They obviously were not prepared for the crowd. We met up with some friends from out of town. All the service was slow but our server was trying their best. Food was sub par. All our favorites were either over cooked or had sat too long and got soggy due to lack of food runners. Wasnt happy with what menu advertised. Burger itself is awesome. Its the cheese. That burger with all the cheeses you order. Its basically burger and on top they put cold slices of every cheese plus shredded cheese. So it's not exciting biting in to it with all the cold cheeses on top hot burger. What would be nice,if each cheese slice would be blasted and melted with torch. Then you can get all the flavor from it. Here is just a burger with 5 cold slices on top. Nothing special. So for this burger only 3 star. The patty and buns wins 5 star. As soon as i saw that all the cheeses is cold I knew it wasnt going to be good. Marble looking french fries are awesome. Impressed with the quality of the food. Great portions and prices. I ordered the Extreme Mushroom Melt. The bread was so soft and there was so much meat! Also, the cheese curds might be the best I've ever had.

Had dinner yesterday. 16 people got ser ed or more before we did and we waited well over 1.5 hr half it was not busy lots of servers. Our server never checked on us but 1 time. Had a great visit to Gronk’s Bar last week! I tried the Henny Penny Chicken special, and it was probably the best roasted chicken I’ve had. It perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor. It was a little on the salty side, but still absolutely delicious. The onion rings were out of this world—crispy, golden, huge and so good! The beers were great, and the atmosphere was really fun. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful, and the menu has a ton of options. Definitely a spot worth checking out!

I couldn't even finish the food before I had to come make my review. I got the volcano nachos, deep fried pickles, and the Gronk burger. This food is simply amazing. Amazing and friendly service by the staff. This place is just wow. I live 614 miles away. I intend to make the drive just to try this food again. The house made BBQ is unbelievable. Really don't even have words to describe how good this food was. Best restaurant I've stopped at a trucker hands down. Spent 45 on myself it was beyond worth it.

I ordered the ribs and they were barely warm and COLD in some spots..The cook then poured BBQ sauce on it which wasn't even warm either. Terrible, I've never had such bad food. I asked them to reheat it and then changed my mind, I said I didn't want the ribs. They didn't make me pay for them which was good.

We are still trying to figure out how even though we were told our order was put in right after we made it, two tables of four who came in AFTER us were served first, and a large group (several adults & children) of about 12 people ALSO got their food even though their order went in after had already been waiting about 10-15 minutes for our food.

I initially got a good vibe upon entering as their staff are so friendly and they had a "Missing Man" table setting display as a way to honor our service members and veterans. It made me want to take my 89 year old veteran father here, but I'm now too afraid he would die from starvation while waiting for his food to come out.

Fun place with great food. Our waitress was awesome, but it took an hour to receive our food. We were starving after a long drive and didn't expect to wait that long. That being said, the food was delicious. We had the Barnyard Burger and the Gronk burger baskets. Burgers were very good, and fries were well above average. I tried to order a Stella (didn't have) and then a Coors (waitress being awesome lmk another customer just complained it wasn't right), and landed on a McGolden which was fresh and tasty. Overall, if you have the time, it's a nice dinner.

The food was fantastic and came out very quick. Daisha was a wonderful server and came by with a friendly smile to check on things the perfect amount. They had what seemed like the perfect amount of staff. Nobody seemed too rushed and made sure to stop by and answer any questions or deliver another beverage. Only thing the bar should change is some bigger TVs

I went there around 2pm on a Saturday and the atmosphere was nice and not to busy. Got drinks promptly and order appetizers, for me and my gf and her friend. Appetizers taste of grace and then take that long very good experience. Plan on going there again sometime soon to try the other food that sounded really good as well.

Came in stood around for several minutes. Asked the wait staff if we seat ourselves or get seated and she said she would be with us in a minute. Stood around another 5 or so minutes as employees continued to walk by us. Then another group came in behind us and the staff told them they could sit anywhere as soon as they walked in. Since it was apparent we would not be receiving any attention from the staff we left and went next door to Louie's Cafe. Great experience and food. Try their yummy pancakes and gyros!
