Summary: delicious food, came out cold and small portions for the price.

Was excited about the menu and liked the atmosphere. The servers were friendly, nice, and helpful. ALL the food came out cold. The cheese curds, the warm sandwiches, the fries and sweet potato fries. It would have all been delicious had it been to temperature. Another note was that the portions were quite small for the price: for example, there is a $2 up charge for sweet potato fries and the portion is smaller than anywhere else.

Was my first time going here?. Myself and a friend went for lunch and sit at the bar. We was greeted by a super friendly bartender named Hannah. She was very knowledgeable of the food menu as well as the drink menu and the beers.. she recommended some things to us that she thought was great personally and I did end up having Hannah special for my lunch plus we have the Cuban eggrolls, which are amazing… this place is definitely worth a try. We will be back. Thanks Hannah for an amazing lunch.

Stopped by for lunch and there is outdoor seating that allows dogs. The cheese curds were seasoned deliciously and the puppy menu was adorable. Only downside was that every piece of the bread was bland. The fish fry was the star of the show as there were huge portions and fresh fish, with a nice light fried crunch.

Great food, lovely staff and classic pub venue. Holly was a great server, she made us feel like a regular and had some great fun facts about local breweries. The menu has familiar food items with unique pops of flavor. The prices are reasonable and the quality is worth every penny. Their drink menu rivals their food with interesting and delicious house combinations. The selection of beer and ciders is large enough to satisfy any palette. Whether you sit in or outside, you are sure to enjoy your visit!

I've been eating here for years. They've always had good food, an amazing selection of tap beers, and some of the best old fashioneds (whisky or brandy) in central WI. But the taste really changed for the better when a new owner took over in 2020.

Since then, they've consistently had incredible food, keep an updated and rotating tap list, and still have the best old fashioneds in the area. If you decide to go in, make sure to see what the specials are. You won't be disappointed.

My Bday is July 5th and my wife and I decided we would go watch the fireworks at the festival. We got rained out and watched them from the car...the one shining moment in my whole birthday is that I got to eat with my wife and my puppy because the people at this great business actually opened their backyard simply for us. They said you can bring them throughout the bar to the back patio. They had a puppy menu and the waitress made it seem like it was no big deal to open one area to just me my wife and our puppy. We went to every other restaurant in this area and when I say every other place I MEAN it! The food was omg amazing and there was a puppy menu. I can honestly say that when I come to stevens point againt I will not go anyplace else but here.

The quality has gone far down since ownership has switched hands. Went with family, server didn't even know what specialty drinks were tapped out. Average quality food took very long, and to top it off, got served a sloppy sandwich, on parchment paper so thin it was ripping every time I tried to cut the sandwich. I will not be going to eat here for a long time after that.

Went back a while ago to see if it had gotten better. Maybe. Still not worth what you pay, I paid over 20 dollars for cheese curds, fries, and a Coca-Cola, meanwhile the entire time obnoxious music is blasting. So if paying more, for food you can get anywhere else in the city for half the price is your thing, go for it?

Placed a to go order over the phone. Person incorrectly told me the Nashville hot curds came with regular ranch even though i told him online it said dill pickle. I did not want the dill pickle and was assured it would come with regular. When i opened my order is had no regular ranch. It was not busy but it took 10 minutes to get my to go order. Food was cold due to lack of service. Was ignored by both bar tenders even though i told one i had a to go order. Finally got help from a waitress dropping of cups to the bar. Not the first time having poor service here. I gave it a couple chances, will not be returning.

We were just on a random road trip and stopped at GUU’s. We swung the door open and Joe says “welcome grab a seat where ever you like”.
Promptly comes over with a warm greeting and menus. Very polite and easy to talk to. Ordered drinks then food. We enjoyed every second here.

Guus is an excellent choice for any occasion. The only reason the service received four out of five stars is because it was extremely busy at an unusual time- which always puts a strain on the staff. Even in this situation, our server was friendly and as attentive as she could be. I will always recommend Guus for their consistency in quality of food and service. So many other restaurants that are similar to Guus cannot say the same.
Side note: If you like ranch, Guus has the best in the area.

Waited 56 minutes for two orders of chicken strips, waitress didn’t even apologize for the wait. Was going to order an appetizer but she walked away before letting me finish my order. In the hour we waited she did not check on us once. I would understand more if it was busy but we got here at 8pm, there are plenty of open tables. I’ve been here when it’s packed and an hour wait for a table and gotten my food in 20 minutes. Honestly just terrible service today by Courtney K.

Love coming here with my friends! This is one of the few buildings I can count on to be ADA accessible (which means a lot when the people I love with disabilities come to town to visit) and on top of that, everyone is friendly and the food is fantastic. Repeat visit. I make a POINT to stop! Ha Taco salad (again!). Choice of protein (ground beef for me), lettuce, tomato, cheese, black olive, oniom. In house fried shell. I order it with Buffalo and ranch. Delish! We had half order of Cauliflower wings. Decent portion for two - we didn't eat them all. Ahi tuna Ceasar salad. Note: it's more of a ceasar vinegrette than a dressing. Yet was still good. Menu offered burgers, wraps, wings, sandwiches. The place was lively, but not busy or packed. Main Street is a one way (cute downtown area). Parallel parking on the right (the side of the restaurant) and angled parking on the left side of the street (across from the restaurant). We found parking at 8 on a Wednesday without issues. Staff was friendly. Prices were fair. Quality was great. Ranch was really good, too... Really good spot!!

I went last night and they denied me service for having a Michigan ID (which glows under black light.) Valid MI drivers licenses glow with the MI state seal, your name, date of birth, picture, “MICH” and another variable image. They tried to keep my drivers license claiming it was fake for glowing. If Guu’s was a person, I’d propose to them. Let’s talk food. The Reuben eggrolls. I mean, holy shit. I’m not even religious, but I’d build a shrine for those crispy little blessings. Pair them with my favorite brew on tap and you’ve got the perfect storm of indulgence. Whether you’re there for a light buzz or full-send blackout, their drink selection’s got you covered. Cocktails? Spot on. Beer? Cold and plentiful. Whatever you’re sipping on, Guu’s will make sure you’re living your absolute best, most unhinged life.

I have never ordered a bad thing here. Burgers, sammies, apps—every bite feels borderline illegal it’s so tasty. Even if you’re just popping in for snacks, you’ll leave wondering why you haven’t come here more. Add to that a wait staff that makes you feel like you’ve been coming here for years (even if it’s your first time) it’s no wonder I’m absolutely feral for this place.

Guu’s is more than a pub; it’s a goddamn rite of passage. If you’re not stopping here every chance you get, are you even living? Go to Guu’s, get the eggrolls, slam a brew, and tell me I’m wrong. Spoiler: you won’t.

Got the Friday shrimp special and DAMN. Huge shrimp, ridiculous portion sizes, and very tasty chili sauce. Loved it all. The homemade batter was delicious, but a little soggy--so I would recommend asking the them well done. (Also had a very tasty maple cinnamon old fashioned!)

Guu's is our favorite date spot and place to gather with friends. I bring every visitor I have here as it is my absolute favorite dining establishment in town. My fiance and I even had pictures taken here for our engagement photos with the owner being extremely supportive. They have amazingly friendly staff and the owners really care about your experience. We come here whenever we want a guarenteed good meal, drinks, overall experience, and a friendly face to greet you when you walk in the door. A prime place to be in Stevens Point :)

We went there this evening and it was packed. We waited 15 minutes. Got our table in about that time. Informed the waitress we were headed to the movies and may be on a time crunch. She couldn't guarantee we'd be out in time, but she did everything she could to be as quick, efficient and friendly. The food was great and my girls and I really enjoyed our time there. A busy place in the afternoon. Staff was ok. Food was not my thing. We ordered our food and it took 51 mins to receive our food. When our food came it was lukewarm 🤢 nothing was hot and fresh. Woo hoo! Hanna was my awesome server (thanks Hanna!) and the wings were incredible (1/2 order of dill pickle and 1/2 cajun). BIG wings too. Not like you find at many other places.

This place has a great vibe with decor as well. I stop in for lunch on my work trips but I'd be a regular if i lived close.

Oh, they have James Bond pinball too. I'll have to feed it some quarters next time.

Best place I have gone so far on Main. The service and food were amazing. We got our food in a matter of 15 minutes after ordering. Our waitress was kind. We found this place on google with hopes that the food would be great. The food was good but the service was awful. My sister and I waited just under 2 hours to finally receive our food and we got here before the dinner rush, multiple tables were empty. Our waitress took our order for our appetizer, brought it out, then left for 30 minutes before she took our dinner order. Tables that were empty became full and they received their food before us and left. It was only when I asked another waitress if she could check on our food that we received it. All I did was order chicken. The chicken was not crispy like the pictures show and tasted like they microwaved it for five minutes and threw it on my plate. It was a total waste of time for average food. I normally don't complain about these types of things because I try to give people the benefit of the doubt. I'm sure this is a great restaurant but I will definitely not be back and do not recommend.

Visited around 6 pm midweek. Greeted right away by super friendly hostess which later found out was owner :) 20 min wait spent at the bar. Bartenders not very attentive...boo. Our 2 tap beers (PBR & CWHB), when we finally got served by a bartender who looked like he hated his life, were both sadly warm. Bar area comfy so wait wasn't bad aside from that. Was seated in a cozy booth, server Sarah was awesome very friendly and attentive! Dinner mate ordered cheeseburger and fries, said "was ok - typical bar burger". I ordered Cuban sandwich and honestly...it was subpar and not authenticly prepared. Bread was yummy but was not pressed and grilled like it should be, very soggy. Mayo was mixed with mustard, again not authentic Cubano, made the sandwich soggier. Pork while nicely roasted, lacked flavor and the ham looked like cheap very thinly sliced deli meat out of a plastic container. The pickles were good :) Overall experience was good-ish. Might be back for the friendliness and comfy atmosphere :)

I've tried to love this place but they really haven't made it easy. the food has fallen flat one too many times for me. Twice when ordering the cheese curds they came soggy and weren't edible (this was trying the regular AND the truffle parmesan). My friend's meat was not cooked to what she had requested both times that I went there with her. Service was overall meh, friendly but not attentive or they'd forget things frequently and no it wasn't jam packed each time I've gone. I think they need to work on the food and get that right before I'd come back. Also, maybe the trivia hosts shouldn't be rude to the participants and should have knowledge on a very basic question.

It was our first time at this establishment. We were beyond pleased. The bartender Joe was so friendly and accommodating. The Hibiscus Mojito was absolutely delicious. The food was equally delicious with generous portions. And the chocolate cake was out of this world! We don't live in Stevens Point but we will definitely be back! When the menu states "mixed local greens" expect 99% iceberg with 1% of another lettuce mixed in. They took off only 1/2 of the Buffalo chicken salad price I was unable to eat.

Tried playing music on the jukebox and an employee kept skipping our songs on the evening of 4/13. We didn't like the music that was on so we used our paid for credits to play what we liked, just like others did. It is not right for employees to skip music just because they don't like it, especially when patrons paid for it!

Went there on a Friday night for a fish fry. First time going. Lady at the front said there be about a 35 minute wait, which is understandable, maybe after 10 minutes, they had a table for us !
Libby was our waitress and she did a fantastic job ! Like I said, they were very busy and she didn’t miss a beat! We had the codfish fry, they did a great job. Highly recommended and definitely will be back.
