Great Food in an unexpected place! A full service restaurant in a small airport. The restaurant has a flight theme. The menu has build your own burgers, pasta, chicken wings, steak, shrimp and prime rib. I got the garlic Parmesan wings and they were great!

It's surprisingly great food, especially for an airport restaurant. The chicken tenders are hand-cut in-house. They have a wide variety of interesting wing sauces and rubs for bone-in or boneless wings. The blue gill (fish) dinner was amazing, fresh, and a generous portion. The shrimp Alfredo was creamy and enough for three meals! The Reuben sandwich is stacked high! The ambiance is definitely an airport hangar vibe, but it's fun and lively.

I ordered a 14oz $34 ribeye steak, medium rare.
The first one came out well done, so I sent it back. The replacement? The most mangled, ugly, charred ribeye I’ve ever seen.
If you’re dining here, I’d recommend sticking to the sirloin. Apparently, ribeyes are out of their league.

For the amount of food you get, sometimes it feels overpriced but it is definitely worth it! I'm always full and never feel ripped off. It's busy a lot when I go, so the waitresses are busy, but the service is okay for being busy. The atmosphere is loud, like a normal restaurant, but it's difficult to hear if you have hearing issues. Wouldn't recommend for a first date or large group.

Highly recommend the chicken poutine. The side of veggies were seasoned very well. They have a variety of wing flavors and a few slot machines. Service was quick and responsive. I can see how this place might be a little tricky for someone to find as it's IN the Chippewa airport.

Food is great, I got the angel hair shrimp pesto. I wish I could remember our waitress’s name, she was a younger blonde girl with a bunch of beautiful jewelry on that we actually had a short exchange about because I just had to compliment her lol. She did an amazing job taking care of our big group, there were around 10-12 of us because we were there for my grandpa’s birthday in one of the party rooms on 2/8. Huge kudos to her!!!

Pulled pork nachos were tasty as our appetizer and could have easily served 4. The entrees were spot on, but the carrot cake was among the best I have ever eaten. Our server Jake was very friendly and attentive to make sure that we had a great experience as it was our first time. We plan on coming again to try out the other dishes. Stopped in at Hangar 54 for a quick lunch. Our server was very friendly and knowledgable. It was somewhat busy but our food came out quickly. Nice variety on the menu. I had a hard time deciding what to order as there were several things I wanted to try. Poutine was some of the best I’ve had! Fried pickles were bread and butter chips which was something I haven’t tried yet elsewhere. They were a little greasy but still tasted good. Overall great experience! We will definitely be stopping again. Highly recommend!

We had our work Christmas party at Hanger 54 in their larger reservation room. The room was nice and spacious, and everything was layed out in a very organized matter. We ordered off the catering menu and had: Swedish meatballs, Classic Caesar Salad with Caesar dressing and garlic croutons, Alfredo, dinner rolls, and seasonal vegetable mix. The food was really good. Lisa and Antonio were our servers and did a wonderful job. Would highly recommend Hanger 54.

Good food and always good service. Last night's MR ribeye was MR only in the absolute center, MW on the outside. Still tasted great but ot quite right. Seems like a flat steak would cook evenly. My enhanced garlic pepper mashed came out cold, my replacement spuds didn't come out till after I was done with my steak, and was still charged for the enhancement.

Popped in on a Saturday. Hawthorne, the FBO was great. At the restaurant you get what you pay for in flavor, portions, and service. I took half my Creole Penne dish home and it was even better the 2nd time around! I’d highly recommend Hangar 54 for a “$100 hamburger” run.

Restaurant inside the airport. Easy access to the restaurant, free parking. I had the Philly Beef and Cheese. Similar to a French dip that comes wit au jus and got the fries. We had an absolutely excellent experience here. The atmosphere is very nice. The bar is beautiful. Our server, Lily, was delightful and just attentive enough for us. I had their special old-fashioned which was well made and not expensive. I ordered the appetizer, loaded potato halves with pulled pork. It was very tasty. I took most of it back to our hotel. My husband has a burger and fries. He was pleased. If we lived up here, we would be regulars here. It is at the airport, saw a couple of planes land or take off. It was just a fun place.

Heard about this place through an online poll. Was in Eau Claire on Saturday and decided to stop here on our way home. Great location at the airport. We sat right by the window with a view of runways. Service was slow and took forever to get our food. Our server never came by to let us know anything, but someone finally did and told us they were behind due to a wedding reception. I get it, but say that upfront so we are aware and know what's going on.

We finally got our food and it was worth the wait. Our daughter had the chicken Alfredo, my wife had the beef Philly and I had the Reuben. They were all really good. Only reason for four stars is the Reuben needed more dressing on it. Otherwise it would have been five stars.

Overall, it's a nice place with good food. We would go back.

We absolutely loved this place! The atmosphere is really cool and is located at the National Guard airport. We saw a Black Hawk take off as we are pulling up, which was really cool! We thought we were in the wrong space because we were heading into the airport but you are in the right place. My husband had the shrimp tacos and a mint mojito and I had the garden salad with grilled chicken and a peach sangria. The food and the drinks were outstanding. The wait staff was also very good and our waitress incredibly attentive.

I've been looking for a good burger, and they delivered just that. They claim fresh ground in-house and hand pattied burgers and that is exactly what I got! Just eating it, you can tell, have one and you'll understand what I mean. What a fantastic change of pace lately. The fries were the perfect ratio of perfectly salted crispy outside while soft inside, and they super nice focused staff were quite accommodating with my request for the Bahama Mac and cheese as a extra side. Uncharacteristically I rotated between the three my entire meal, I just couldn't eat just one at a time. Was I just lucky? I don't think so as it was lunch, not peak weekend dinner or anything like that and I was very impressed all around, and will definitely be coming back for more! Thank you!

App ( potatoe skins ) came out a bit over cooked didn't want to send back because it was very busy . Took 35 minutes to get our fish and it was delicious. 2 were baked and very happy with portion size. 1 was battered and was delicious also .
