Poor man's lobster was good, the twice baked potatoe tasted like one I could have gotten at a food store. Fish fry tasted like it was brought at a food store. My boyfriend got sick later that night, he kept saying that the fish didn't taste right. The food was better a few years ago.

We were greeted by the charming aroma in the entry tunnel, eerily reminiscent of my chain smoking grandfather’s house. We proceeded to saunter through the bar for a place to sit, and opted for a spot away from the corridor of ashtrays and tobacco hookahs. The bartender was engaging and friendly, unfortunately so were the fruit flies. Our middling food arrived and while the beef was corned it was a Reuben in only liberal interpretation of the name. Overall not a bad place for a beer, but entertain foreign dignitaries and heads of state elsewhere.

I went in after a few rough medical tests. I ordered a Chicago dog and a bloody. The dog was higher than the menu stated and the bloody mary was $8! Yikes. I relocated. I engaged the manager in conversation and he was talkative which was good.

I hate to give negative reviews to small businesses and I can’t complain about service because good help is hard to find, but waiting an hour for a small piece of meat not cooked right on a basic kwik trip type bun with overly crisp fries cannot be overlooked. The idea of a peanut butter pepperjack burger sounds interesting but this was probably just poorly executed. Picture says it all. Sorry for this guys…..

Second time trying Hanks out. I really loved how helpful and kind they were making sure my daughters burger didn't have butter or other dairy on it! However, I think the food portions were small and overcooked for the price. They were the first time as well, thought maybe it was just an off day for them. Also, maybe I missed it, but we were not aware of an extra carry out charge when we ordered and the price ended up being sorta high. Plus our 30 min wait turned into almost an hour and it was long past dinner rush. Overall staff is awesome!!!!🤗 Food and wait for price, not awesome 😕

Poor service, 10 mins to get a drink and a menu. Ready to order and the bartender is talking with other people, the waitress is talking with other people and would look me then walk to the back. 20 mins go by after getting the drink and still no service. Asked the bartender if I can place a food order... said yep be right there... 15 mins later still no service no order placed.... worst service ever, I will never go back there or recommend this place to anyone 😒

I was super excited to go back to Hanks as I hadn't been there since before the pandemic. Ugh, utter disappointment. New owners with very little staff. The food took forever to come out and although I had a double burger without a bun, they could have worked on the presentation with a little "love". Just plopped them on a plate and that was it. Our waitress NEVER came back to check on us and about 1/2 hour later, some guy comes up and says "I guess I'm your waiter now". Sadly I will not be returning. There are so many places that we can go and get delicious food and great service, I'm going to have to retire Hanks!

This is a decent food option. It's typical bar/restaurant fare. It's affordable and the menu has a lot of variety, the hot dog portion was very impressive though I didn't get to try it. The service was the best part was the service. Everyone was attentive, friendly, and prompt. I'd come back to sit around, enjoy a few drinks and relax.

I can usually find something good to say about an establishment, but on this one I can't.
Starts with no parking, I understand that the location is on a busy corner so be prepared to walk a couple of blocks.
Seating yourself is the only option, although it's not posted anywhere, you just have to figure it out on your own.
Waiter approached quickly after we sat down, but mid meal he disappeared. I had to get drink refills at the bar and then was told he was in the kitchen.
Food was average to subpar, potatoes very salty and steak and burger quality not up to the price that was charged.
Restrooms were dirty, and dining room chairs were torn and in terrible condition.
Overall a poor visit to someplace wishing to be known as an "eatery ".

Wife and I are new to the area and looked up some places to eat as we were driving. We decided to stop at Hanks. Worst description ever! I tried the perch fish fry and my wife had the regular fish and chips which I assume was cod. My wife’s fish was hot but over cooked with cold fries. Mine on the other hand was the worst fish fry I ever had and possibly the worst food I ever had in my life. The fish was cold and soggy, not even like warm and the fries were cold. I ate about half of it being though I was so hungry and couldn’t do it any longer as I was having the gag effect through it all. Settled on a little bit of my wife’s over cooked fish. The only thing I got out of this experience was wanting to stick my finger down my throat to get it out of my stomach it was that bad! Never again...
