We decided on Harvey's for our Friday evening outing. Reservations were easy to obtain at the last minute and service was gracious and prompt on our arrival. Staff was attentive and really wanted to make sure we felt welcome. We ordered the Mediterranean chicken, sea bass, gumbo and fish fry. All were excellent.

Popped in with a reservation for 6 on a weekend. Hostess and bartenders were great. Our server was Dan and he did tell us it was going to be a slow food night. And boy was it. Just over two hours for mains. But again, Dan was great. As was the rest of the staff. If not for them, I'd expect most people would have walked out from the food delay - which to be fair, they did handle as well as they could have. The food was good, steaks, pasta, salads, wine, desert. Six hundred bucks. lol. We just were not expecting to be there for almost 3 hours. But again, we had fun, decent food and drinks. I'd go back. But don't be in a hurry, or trying to save money. I have to drop a star for the absurd kitchen delay. Slow Say We All.

My family came here a few weeks ago to celebrate my mother’s birthday and we had a really good experience. The food was tasty and everyone enjoyed their meals. The service was wonderful. My first experience at Harvey's was a positive one. I thought that it had a great look inside with the brick walls and classy decor. I had a Makers Mark on the rocks and a Harvey's Manhattan to drink and they were both good. We got grilled artichokes as an appetizer which were really good (the aioli sauce is legit) and then I had the Tarragon Chicken and she had the Napa Shrimp over Linguine. The food was very fresh with great flavor. Our server was attentive and, honestly, maybe too attentive, because it was so frequent that we were talking to her that it interrupted our conversation. Overall a great experience though.

I live in Mequon and was really excited to try this place but was unfortunately let down :( My ahi tuna really wasn't that great...our server told us that the shrimp in the gumbo was grilled which is the only reason why my husband got the gumbo and it definitely was not grilled. The service was embarrassingly slow, we kept thinking that we were forgotten about. 2 stars because the shrimp appetizer was absolutely divine and would return just for that.

Lamb chops were good. Scallops were great. The sides were mostly dry and cold. Couldn’t make a real old fashioned though even with instructions. It took it seemed like an extra hour to get our meal (said kitchen backed up) and then they added a 20% tip to a table of 5 and it was added after tax! That is really rude. My parents have been coming here for years. So disappointed. Chicken Marsala tasted like chicken not the normal flavor for a Marsala expected. Prob won’t come back again… also super noisy.

Unfortunately, the duck breast salad has been removed from the menu and the prices have increased about 25% from a year ago. However, i must say, i won’t return to Harvey’s, because the chicken gyro sandwich (18$) was so poorly executed. The chicken was dry, overcooked, and un-flavorful. The peta it was served on was inedible. The French fries were beyond golden. Oh well…

This was our first time dining at Harvey's. We had two apps, Harvey Darffers and scallops. Both were delicious and well prepared.

Our entrees were steak au poivre (Sterling Archer would approve) and pecan crusted whitefish. Again, both were delicious.

We rounded out the meal with english toffee bread pudding.

Wolfgang Puck's Seafood Stew is so good, I've had it almost every time I've been to Harvey's. It's a tedious recipe I'd never make at home, and an unusual and welcomed menu item. Warm, cozy atmosphere with a nice bar where you can have a drink and wait for your table. All night, we heard the grateful wait staff thanking patrons for coming and supporting the restaurant--a nice touch.

The staff is very friendly and the restaurant and patio are clean with a nice ambience. However, the food and drinks are significantly overpriced. There are no prices on the cocktail menu. When we received the bill, we were shocked to see cocktail prices that you might not even pay in downtown Chicago. It's deceiving and, due to what seems to be taking advantage of customers, it's likely not a place I'd return to.

Harvey's is one of my absolute favorite restaurants ever! The food is amazing!!! Did I say IT IS amazing! :) The ambiance is delightful, contemporary, with local artists displaying their work. It has 5 different areas, so you always feel semi private and relaxed. One area is outdoor with a fireplace that is so fun. I've reserved the 2 different private rooms, never a charge for the room, wow! The bartenders are always creating great new drinks, so fun. The wine selection is on point. There's even a wine evening where you can try numerous wines each week. I've been coming here for years, always great service, friendly and helpful staff, food prepared with perfection and the place is always so clean. Highly recommend!
