Today was our first time here since the new owners have taken over. The Harvey family has done a great job staffing the restaurant with an attentive and engaging staff. Our food was served promptly and exactly as ordered. Gina was a delight as our server, and Tiffany and Rick did a great job behind the bar. A pleasent experience from start to finish. We will definitely be back!

After flying in for Oshkosh 2025 from Texas, and spending a long day out in the rare Wisconsin sun, we found ourselves looking for some good food near our New London hotel.

We found something so much better. Harvey’s is the quintessential midwestern tavern. Offering a huge selection of great home-cooked food, Harvey’s became the star of our entire journey.

The staff are welcoming, friendly, and easy to talk with. They represent the very best of Wisconsin hospitality. I ordered the pizza (do not miss), and my traveling companion ordered the 3 decker club (excellent). The food was so good, we came back a second night.

I am fortunate to travel often and to many states for my career. And while I can easily give you a hundred recommendations for places to eat around these United States, I can say, without doubt, there is no better place to eat in Wisconsin than Harvey’s.

Do not miss out. You can thank me later.

Our experience was not a great one unfortunately. I’m not usually one to review negatively but I feel like it was bad enough to warn others. We walked in and there was a couple at the bar and about 4 teenagers at a high top table that is all. Our waitress was prompt when we sat down, we ordered drinks. The drink I got had something floating in it, waitress took and got me a new one all good there. We sat for about 20 mins before she came back over to ask what we wanted to order, did not come back to ask us if we wanted more drinks since they were all about empty- sat at the end of the bar and took shots. She then brought us our food which was wings, pizza and onion rings that took over 45 mins to make. However all the food came out at once even though we order appetizers. The food was really low quality even for what we ordered. Then we asked for the check to be split down the middle and it wasn’t so then we tried doing it other payment portal and that wasn’t working. Our bill was $126 for 5 drinks, onion rings, wings and a pizza. Sorry but will not be back again.

My kids ordered chicken sandwiches with fried chicken not grilled. The orders came grilled and as wraps. The menu did not say wraps and the waitress acted surprised and made no effort to correct more or less looked at me hoping I took them. Our app came out with the food not ahead of time. The rest of our food was good. Our table was asked if we wanted refills and the end of our meal not during. Overall, just ok.

Enjoyed their taco bar on Tuesday for lunch. Beef and chicken options with either chips, soft shell, or hard shells. Salad bar toppings with a couple cold salads and 2 soup options made a completely filling meal. Having rice or beans as a side or topping would have been nice. Cheese lovers would request a cheese sauce/queso as well.

Our waitress did not give us silverware after requesting 2 x’s he had to go up and get himself as did another table. When our food arrived my husbands fish order was hugh. We we got our bill, she put the order in for 1 1/2 orders. I had requested veg and coleslaw but she must have been confused and asked if I wanted a potato if soup. I thought that was something that came with my meal. When delivered no veg, just the potato and coleslaw had to ask for butter and sour cream which she finally delivered but still no silverware.
She is young and needs some additional service training. Otherwise food was great.

We live about 15 minutes out of town and were having some friends come from over an hour away to bowl a game or two and then get something to eat. The place has SUCH potential. The bowling area is nice and big and well kept. The bartender was having to run that side and the bar side, so he was running back and forth. Very nice though.

We then headed to the bar side to get some dinner. We were fairly impressed with some of our food, but sad to see that the burgers aren't the nice juicy bar burgers. They are the flat uniformed kind with not much flavor. The buns were super dry as well. The waitress at first seemed to come across as a little standoff-ish, but she warmed up and was quite pleasant.

It's hard to find a place with good atmosphere, good staff, and good food. The atmosphere was great, staff was decent, but the food...was meh. Tweak a couple things and it would be a super great place.

We went there we sat there good half a hour waiting for a box as we watch the waitress Carissa go to different tables 3 or 4 times in a row and she never came to ours when I went up to the bar to get a box she came up there ask if we need a box then she brought the box to the table when we where at the bar with are food then we wait another 20 mins to speak to a manger as we watched another employee touch the food with her bare hands never going back again, the whole staff were very rude, even the manager who had a fit because she had to come out to talk to us. Do a better job and then you would not have to defend yourselves to your customers!

Apparently if you are from out of town, you are treated like you shouldn't be here. Took a while to get sodas. Bartender was appoligetic for slow service. Bartender was also friendly - would only be a 1 star if it wasn't for her. Woman delivering food and waiting on tables completely ignored us the whole time. In fact, she glared at us upon leaving as she cleared our table. I had a Buffalo Sandwich, it was good. Hubby had a Ribeye Sandwich and it was not. The bun looked the same as mine but did not smell like it. It smelled so bad my husband couldn't even eat. Also ordered a pizza. It was good but the crust was borderline burnt. We didn't complain in person because they were just too busy and we had somewhere to be. Needed to go to the bar and track down our ticket to pay for our food. Sorry, but will be going elsewhere the next time we are in town.

Dive bar/ restaurant with great sweet potato Fries. The best. Party of six. All agreed the soups were awful. Way to much salt. I had clam chowder. Thick as mud, sour tasting and no clams. The three of us that ordered soup ate one spoonful and pushed away. Waitress was very attentive! This is the go to place for locals who want a juicy big burger, among other things. The garlic parmesan fries with ranch sauce are awesome. I also recommend the Hangover Burger and the Patio burger. And get this! They have a Big BLT where you can order 10...10...ten(!!!) pieces of BACON!! They use freshly baked buns and an assortment of pizzas. Would highly recommend this place to others!
