We have eaten in Beloit many many times but have never eaten at Hatley’s. It is definitely a pub, the main focus is on the drinks. Our service was slightly slow but not bad by any measure. We ordered food and drinks while here. The atmosphere is decent but the restrooms are very bar like with some much needed repairs.

Saturday afternoon, pretty crowded. Currently Auburn is beating Fla and hopefully it stays that way!!
Ordered a the Rueben burger and a double Don Julio Repo, can’t go wrong with the booze. The Reuben was actually very impressive.. Good tasting cooked the way I like it, mediumbut not too much sauerkraut. Got it with a side of coleslaw, which was delicious.
Service is exceptional as usual.
Mac and cheese balls were outstanding!!!

This is a great neighborhood bar. Not too busy, the music wasn’t too loud and the overall atmosphere was relaxed.
As for food, the menu isn’t big which is fine and the prices are very reasonable.

My friend got a triple smash burger and really enjoyed it. I got the chefs flat bread and it was good. It was pulled pork and bbq sauce. It was honestly something I probably could have made at home better but it was tasty.

Prior to tonight I had many great experiences at Hatley's. Sadly tonight the bartender/waitress was not very attentive or helpful and there were issues with the food. She started to walk away before taking everyone's order and we had to point out that not everyone had order (there were only 3 of us). She brought my toddler an the appetizer version of what she ordered instead of her kids meal which was almost 2x the cost and did not include a side. My sandwich had a piece of plastic in it. My drink was just a cup of liquor instead of the alcohol plus the mixer I asked for, which also resulted in it being more expensive. She did remove my sandwich after showing her the piece of plastic, but not once did our waitress acknowledge an error or apologize.

This is one of the most attractive pubs in downtown Beloit. Has modern/industrial feel. Nice bar, lighting is comfortable dark-ish. That being said I've 2 bad experiences with the food. The first was a burger and onion rings ordered on a fish fry Friday - the onion rings tasted of fish. When I mentioned this the bartender noted that another customer had complained about the same thing but that it shouldn't taste like fish because we have a separate fryer. OK well, they do taste like fish - and so to her credit she took the rings off of my order.

The second meal was, frankly, awful. The flatbread Reuben special - at 14 dollars for this appetizer - was like no flatbread I'd ever eaten. The flatbread was basically unrisen dough allowed to harden. There were a few meager pieces of corned beef on it, a lot more sauerkraut, with unartfully dribbled thousand island on top. I ate what I could but left half of it.

The 2 separate bartenders I encountered both seemed skilled and professional, but were both lacking in friendliness. I found that odd, and so have to blame the owners for this lack of attention to the welcoming attitude from frontline staff that would have helped with the bad food.

This was a fun place in what I think would be the downtown area? Parking around back or angled parking on the street. Only 1 employee out and about when I got there but Kimmy was great. Recommended some options that I was happy to try and was not disappointed. The chef did great, did not try the beer but the Mt Dew was delicious. The highlight of the evening was being surprised by how incredible the potato skins were, out of the park Guy Fieri Flavortown style. Never would have paired them with salsa but it will be a go to option now.

This was the first time we were back since the new owners took over and remodeled the place. They did a nice job in the remodeling. Particularly with restored original brick wall that had been covered with paneling. The manager was extremely friendly and helpful. Really like the new decor. I had a brandy old fashioned sweet, which was good. My wife had a Spotted Cow and we shared cheese curds, which were good. The ambience was warm and welcoming. We had fun playing pool.

They had good shrimp for appetizers.

Visited last night, a very bad experience.

Sat at a table in full view of the bar, got a menu after a minute or two, decent. Got my order in, and my drink..then it went downhill. The bartenders were so enamored in the conversations amongst themselves to notice the doorbell signalling food ready from the kitchen, 4 times. They finally checked on me, and I commented to them that I could see my food hanging in the window of the kitchen. Usually, places check on you about mid-meal and see if you are good...that didn't happen, they weren't paying attention. Finished the meal, and still had to wait about 5-10 before they wrapped up their conversations between each other and checked on me. I would have stayed for another beer, but with the bad experience during the meal, I just grabbed my check and left. The bar had less than 10 people in it, including the bartenders. I would have understood if it was busy, but it wasn't. I ended up leaving my personal worst tip ever, just rounding it to $20 on an $18.45 bill, with a note for them to be attentive and to pay attention to the surroundings. Do better.

I want to rate this place higher. It's a good spot to chill while waiting for your table at one of the many restaurants around it. That said, typically we're only there for one, maybe two beers. We weren't told about the minimum of 10 dollars for card purchase until we asked for our tabs, and sorry but I'm not about to spend 10 + tip on a 4 dollar beer. I'd actually be okay with it if that extra money that they're taking would go to the bartenders and not just into the pocket of the owner, but I doubt that's what's happening. If we would've known when we sat down, we would've ordered more to get to that 10, but it just comes across as them fishing for free money. There really should be signs posted everywhere since the majority of people pay with cards. Also, I know about the fee for credit card purchases and it isn't this bad, this is a place taking advantage of it, in a bad way.

Great location, friendly staff, fast hot food! I tried the pulled pork sandwich with mild bbq and beans. My man got the hot ham with onion rings, rings are an up charge. The house made ranch was perfect with the tasty onion rings. The mild bbq and the coleslaw on the bbq sandwich are on the sweet side, which I loved. The place is nice and open and the bathrooms are clean. 10/10 will come again.

Great choice eating here! Food was beyond delicious. Cooked to perfection! Our server, Zach I believe, was super friendly and constantly kept our drinks filled. I ordered a tenderloin and added muenster cheese.baked beans had like a sloppy joe taste and the coleslaw even had a spectacular taste. It was bug enough for leftovers and they warmed up great.
