This is our fav sandwich and coffee place! It’s great to meet people, study by yourself or just get a cup of coffee and contemplate life. The food is delicious. We love the veggie options especially the fresh mozzarella croissant + the many drinks to try. For dessert, I either like the cake slices or the fresh berry crepes. So yummy.. it’s always adorably decorated but the best part is the staff. The staff are thoughtful, kind, and friendly! They definitely make the place warm + welcoming.

I came back a few months later + ordered the black milk boba tea, they don’t have actual boba. They have pieces of some jelly instead. I was disappointed bc I had wanted actual boba.

Alright. So I come in and order a frappe and a breakfast sandwich. This equals $20. Already super expensive. I ordered an espresso frappe (essentially the main choice for me when drinking coffee) and an egg sandwich.

The drink comes out as an espresso brown sugar shaker. I made it know that that wasn’t my drink (I’m allergic to brown sugar, so would never order that). Was told that’s what I ordered and the server just turns and walks away. Treated with rudeness and contempt.

The egg sandwich - premade/microwaved egg patty’s. Not worth the price. Would recommend skipping.

When we were in Janesville recently, I was happy to see that there was a coffee place just a few blocks from where we were staying, but this wasn’t just any coffee place - it’s an ultra adorable cafe with delicious, creative handcrafted drinks, great food menu, and sweetest employees, such a gem! This is one of those places I really want to like and rave about, but just can't seem to. I've been here several times and tried a variety of coffee. The iced drinks taste watered down (ice is half melted by the time it's handed to me), and when getting flavored syrups added, it's overdone to the point where I can't taste the actual coffee/espresso (I didn't think it'd be possible to out-sweetened Starbucks but my drink today definitely did).

The menu is massive which leaves to wonder about quality control with so many options, perhaps half-effort invested into making, instead of perfecting and specializing in specific dishes/drinks. The vibe is cool inside (the outdoor seating is nice too) and there's space to work, but I just can't get behind the drinks.

This coffee shop would have gotten a good review from me, but they really dropped the customer service ball today. The Facebook Janesville Community Gatherings group meets at different coffee shops in Janesville. This month, we were supposed to be meeting at Havana Coffee every Friday morning from 8:00 to 10:00. This morning, our group administrator was informed that the space we use is needed for "customers." I find that statement insulting, as every single one of us in the group spends a lot of money on their drinks and food. What difference does it make if we all sit together for 90 minutes to 2 hours, as opposed to separate tables? We are all paying customers! Insulting, to say the least. I will not be returning, and will make sure the word is spread as to our experience there. There are other coffee shops that welcome our business and acknowledge us as customers.

I personally order from Havana at least once every day in the morning —not just because the food is good, but also because they offer a flatbread pizza that I can order for breakfast. I’m not your typical breakfast lover, so having this option is a game-changer for me. It’s something I actually look forward to eating in the morning, and I appreciate Havana for providing choices that accommodate people like me who still need to eat but don’t love traditional breakfast foods; so there’s a variety of options not solely based on breakfast foods in the mornings.

That being said, I do think the overall quality control could be a little more consistent. The food is never bad—it’s always at least “good”—but it has the potential to be truly spectacular all the time. There are usually “one off days” that typically happen during the weekend. If they tightened up on consistency, it would take an already great experience to the next level.

When it comes to drinks, I haven’t run into anything I didn’t like. Seriously, feel free to take a gamble on something that sounds good because chances are, you’ll love whatever you order.

My family and I rely on Havana daily to start our small business off on the right foot, making sure we have full bellies before getting to work.

Unfortunately, for the past three days in a row, my sister’s omelette hasn’t been delivered, forcing her to go elsewhere for breakfast and delaying her morning. We brought it to the staff’s attention, and while they’ve offered to redeliver it, at that point, it would just end up rubbery and unappetizing. So we have declined.

I truly hope this is just an honest mistake and nothing intentional, but I can’t help but wonder, given that some of the employees are old childhood friends who haven’t spoken to her in years for who-knows-what reason. I’d like to believe that isn’t the case, but you never really know.

All that aside, I’ll attach a picture of my go-to mini pizza—my favorite way to start the day. I’m so grateful for it because, again, I am not a breakfast person in the slightest.

If you haven’t been to Havana yet, and especially if you’re a Janesville native (or new to town), what are you even doing? Get yourself a meal ASAP and fix that mistake!

Before they had the worst employees that were rude and made me feel like I didn’t want to come back and that it wasn’t worth to go through rude employees just to get coffee so I only went to Mocha Café or 29 South Cafe.

I understand having a bad day at work but it wasn’t worth it to put up with their attitude all the time. They had a lot of mean girl energy, BUT now with the changes and new employees they are really nice and make you feel welcome!!!

My wife and I ordered to (2) Havana burgers and an order of fries. Believe me when I say that this was the worst low-grade frozen patty I have ever had. Cheap buns and our order didn’t even come with the Jalapeños that it was suppose to have. Truly disgusting and disappointing to say the least. For $35-$40 it is unacceptable. Hungry people beware. Holy downfall. I haven't been here since early 2022, and this is my first time back and wow... did a pick up order. Online the drink says shaken sugar cookie late with oat milk, my drink was supposed to be strawberry. 25 minutes after being placed, my husband goes and picks up. Drinks weren't even started. 1 girl working. No line. Not busy. She asks what kind of milk for the sugar cookie one... so she makes the drinks. My husband gets home with a raspberry latte not a strawberry. And his drink is all foam, not even filled to the top, let alone, there's no espresso. Almost $15 for 2 messed up drinks. And that sugar cookie foam with a shot of espresso tastes disgusting. What a disappointment. We don't go out much, so when we choose to it would be nice to have good service and the right order that is actually filled.

My husband and I always have a great experience here. We went 2 days in a row this week for the raspberry almond scone. It's Amazing!! The younger guy working the drive up window is always super nice and makes the best lattes. Thanks for always being a place we can enjoy. 5 stars for-

Really cute location and great coffee! However, their food is so so over priced for what it is. Very disappointed with their $11 avocado toast on sourdough. They do not use real sourdough bread (instead it’s white bread with vinegar added and you can taste the difference) and use hard boiled eggs on top instead of fresh cooked eggs (probably to be able to assemble these meals quicker). My friend and I both got this and didn’t finish it because the bread and eggs were so unappetizing. So I’d recommend their coffee but skip their toasts

I have been to Havana before but usually send my husband in, its typically good, not great but Janesville has limited coffee options. Went in on my own yesterday. Atmosphere is loud and crowded, process for calling out drinks is to call out the name of the drink instead of a name or number. I waited a long time for a cup of drip because they had to make a new batch. The coffee itself was great (Blue Heeler by MKE roaster Collectivo), when I got to the end of the cup I got a mouth full of grounds. blech! My companion got their normal coffee shop breakfast of a chocolate croissant and was not impressed, they did like the boba tea and thought the amount of boba pearls was generous. But overall the value for the money was not there.

I went for the first time ever this morning and ordered a iced coffee where I specifically asked for almond milk as I am allergic to dairy. The girl making the drink was a little rude when she handed me my iced coffee......for being "iced" there were only a few half melted pieces of ice in it. I double checked with her that she used almond milk and she rolled her eyes and said "yeah" and turned away. Well fast forward as I am doubled over in severe pain and can not move out of the fetal position I'm in.....I can tell you they did NOT use almond milk like I requested. This type of pain only happens when I have milk....hence why I avoid it!!! Will never go there again!!!

Great service and coffee offerings. Ambience is good with indoor and outdoor shaded seating available. Outdoor seating has a “garden” feel to it with plants and flowers scattered around.

Decided to stop here on my way out of town and I’m so happy to have found this little gem! The chorizo breakfast burrito is a new favorite! They have a great selection of tea, coffee, smoothies, bakery, salads and sandwiches. It’s easy for everyone to find something to enjoy here. The patio seating area is beautiful also but they have lots of seating indoors as well.

I've only visited Havana Coffee twice. The first visit was perfect. The one today was excellent on atmosphere and service. I don't want to sound picky, but I suppose I am picky about my tea. The black iced tea I ordered today was good tea, but I could taste the hard water. I should only taste tea. I could tell that Havana uses quality tea, but they need a good water filter!

I have only had coffee there, but it's been good coffee. I really love the feel of it. The inside has a bunch of plants, so it looks really natural and feels cozy. The outside has a fair amount of seating, and it's really nice to sit out there

Why no Cafe con leche? No one at the counter knew what I was asking for or how to make one. It's the freaking national coffee of Cuba, available at every Cuban restaurant I have ever been to, except this one. The fod looks fantastic and the atmosphere is great. Please add real Cuban coffee to the menu.

I was very disappointed with Havana coffee. The interior of the restaurant is very nice and they have a nice patio to sit outside. But my mom and I went for coffee and something to eat and it came to over $45!!! My mom got the chicken salad sandwich and I got the breakfast burrito. The breakfast burrito was bland, and didn't have all the ingredients it said would be on there. It was also very small for the price. My mom said the chicken salad sandwich had stale bread. They also charged us a dollar each for whipped cream on our coffee without telling us. Who does that?
We might as well have went to a sit-down restaurant for this price. Very overpriced for what you get. Overall very disappointed.
