My husband and I highly recommend Havana's. Not only do they have good food, but the atmosphere is really great and their staff are friendly. Highly recommend their tacos for $9 on Thursdays (the Rupa is my favorite), Cubanos, street corn, mac and cheese, and plantains. Their rhubarb press is also yummy and only $5. We are weekly customers.

Worst restaurant experience I have had. Based on all the good reviews here, it may have just been a bad night (exceptionally bad). But our food took about an hour to come out, which is I can forgive knowing that most places are short staffed. My food was cold and when the server asked how the food was we let her know. She was quick to whisk away my dish to make it right. But after waiting another 40 minutes, with several promises that they were working on it, we left. The few bites I had of my husband's sandwich were good. But never in my life have I left a restaurant with an empty belly after sitting for nearly 2 hours. So disappointing.

A family of 5 sat down looking to explore a highly rated Cuban place in the middle of The Northwoods. We knew based on the smell wafting into the street before we went inside that we were about to be happy. It surpassed expectations, which were already very high based on how great our local experience is back home. I thought it would not be possible to challenge my hometown favorite. The Ropa, Cruben, and Classic Cuban were all delicious. The service was incredible, and it is obvious the kitchen is filled with wizards at their craft.

To put it simply, the bocas inferno was unreal. I'd eat it every day if I could. Plenty spicy. Actually we were here during the Homegrown Festival and may have seen the best oerformance of the entire week with the Woodblind band performing with many musicians from.other bands. 8-10 various musicians on stage.

This place is awesome. The sandwiches are so good. The Inferno is my absolute favorite. The tap beer selection is on point (lots of local choices). The people who work here are so friendly and fun and really cool and REALLY GOOD at their jobs (I seriously don't know how they remember my order and continue to remember what beer I'm drinking when asking for a refill).

Havannas is mine and my fiancés favorite place to eat in Duluth/superior, our guilty pleasure! All of there pressed sandwiches are amazing and I love love the shrimp tacos upgraded to a bowl with rice and beans. So many flavors coming together to make an amazing dish! This small dive-scale bar in Superior WI was a welcome retreat on a Saturday afternoon. When we arrived it was not very busy, and we had no trouble finding a seat. After seating ourselves at a high top, a lovely bartender promptly asked what we were drinking. We all ordered drinks, and they had a special on the Cubano sandwich.
It was very good. I also tried the black beans and rice, and I would recommend them. They had a stage for live music! Unfortunately, we were out for lunch, so none to be had. Solid 4-4.5 out of 5

We ordered after a super long and stressful day and we ordered a LOT. It arrived super quick and was super fresh and still pipping hot. If you're after the heat, this is the spot! We were basically ignored for about 10 minutes after we sat down. We weren't in a hurry, so we waited to see what would happen. The food is good and is what gives the five stars. But be aware that when you go you will have bad service most likely. The waitress tend to stick to talking to their friends instead of serving the rest of the bar. Empty glasses are a sin but a common occurrence here. It once took two girls to fill one beer because the first girl didn't know how.

Great flavors, generous portions, and super friendly service. The savory mac and cheese was a particular highlight. We really enjoyed everything we tried and can’t wait to come back to try the tacos and other sandwiches.
