We had high hopes for dinner at The Heiting Place in Little Chute, but unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. We waited far too long to be seated and to place our order — several groups around us even left in frustration before getting a table.
Once seated, things didn’t improve much. The relish tray looked old and wasn’t edible, and the lettuce in the salad was wilted and past its prime. The haddock was overcooked, and the steak was so salty it actually burned my throat.
From start to finish, the entire visit took nearly three hours — we arrived at 4:45 and didn’t leave until 7:45. Given the long waits and poor food quality, we won’t be returning.

We tried Heiting Place for the First time after it changed owners, on Friday Night for my husband's 75th Birthday. We arrived at 4:30 for a 5PM reservation. We were offered the option, of sitting at our table as soon as we arrived, which we did. They Took our orders within 15 min. of Being seated. We ordered 2 perch dinners, a seafood platter, anda a tenderloin dinner. Everything arrived in a reasonable amt. of time, and was hot, and delicious. Our waitress was very friendly, and checked on us several times to make sure everything was satisfactory, and asked if we needed anything. We will definitely be back again soon.

Best supper club around. Here’s why: The relish and cracker/bread basket you get to start with is phenomenal. The ribeyes and stuffed shrimp are perfect. The female bartenders are pretty rude if they don’t know you, but the food and prices make it worth it. This place would be one of the best in the state if the bartenders would try a little customer service. Sometimes it takes forever to get a server to take your order too…We’ve run into that a lot. Which again, is kind of on the bartender to notify them based on other supper clubs I’ve been to. But however you want to do it, just wanted to share some helpful feedback because we love your place.

Unlike some people who complain for the gits and shiggles *cough cough* (The complainer who embarrassed his son. Hope you enjoyed the wonderful commentary from the table next to you 🤪) The service was amazing! Attentive and knowledgeable. The food was done perfectly, just as this supper club’s recipe for food should be, the atmosphere was wonderful and friendly. If you don’t like the food, then you can walk your happy butt out. The Heiting Place is a wonderful place to eat! Would definitely recommend!!

I went there for a to go order of their normal stuffed shrimp. I got a very nice bartender to assist with a drink after I paid for my food. aA young person behind the bar appeared to be flirting with someone she knew and was eating behind the bar. As they brought my stuffed shrimp out which I regularly order the lady stated “oh btw we make our own now u will love it”. What you couldn’t tell me this on the phone? You wait until I pay for it? Then someone tells me it was to Bready so we changed it? And they would not do a relish tray to go orders any more but we all pay the same $$ for food? I got home it was not stuffed shrimp it was cooked with cheese butter and seasoning greasy as you can imagine! Who is now running this place? Very disappointed! I contacted them and they said they would compensate me the same $$ of meal I had but I don’t think I will return. It’s not the same!!!!!!!

Out of so many food items and beverage choices were slim. Only 2 potato options. New owners must have new cook because totally no flavor to the steaks. Ordered medium came out purplish red so rarer than rare. Sent back came back hockey puck. Very nice and courteous waitress and we felt bad because she was just the messenger but they really need to get a better cook and get in touch with their vendors or the business will leave and never return. It was always delicious with prior ownership. The business can do a turnaround if they get a good chef who knows how to cook and make sure they have food items available. Menu prices posted were not what we were charged. Menus handed out show almost $2 lower so need to fix to avoid false advertising charges. May return but will wait to see if they turn things around.

Tried for the first time. Couple in front of us got served before us, I made a mention to our server then all of a sudden our food got served right away my steak was overcooked, my girlfriend's haddock was overdone and the worst part was my son had perch that wasn't even cooked! Worst experience I've ever had a at supper club! Disclaimer, the waitress that was serving other tables was excellent and she helped us, our waitress was too busy playing on her phone

I went with a group of 7 on Wednesday night, we didn’t have a reservation. It was busy and we were told at least 45 minutes, there was only 1 server for the evening and another large party ahead of us. We were ok with waiting, the drinks were reasonable, bartenders were friendly. I ordered steak and scallops combo, I upgraded to a ribeye ($8 up charge). The table had a nice relish tray waiting for us, dinner came with soup or salad, fresh bread. My scallops were small but very tasty, steak was done perfectly, delicious-$32. I was very happy with my dinner, I would go back.

I go here because it’s close to home and the broiled haddock is cooked very well. They don’t season their food but that’s understandable because most their customers are elderly. The service on the other hand sucks. I would be clearing house and starting over before these older ladies behind the bar ruin a good thing. Rude and slow! Place is packed with the elderly and the parking lot sucks. I will give them another chance because I love their haddock but if they are rude again I won’t be back!

Normally we quite enjoy this place. Tonight a different situation. We were very patient as they served several large parties. Only for my husbands medium steak to come out almost completely raw, and my order to come out wrong…it is 9PM at this point and they take the haddock back to replace it with the scallops that I ordered…which were clearly rushed as they were basically raw with absolutely no sear and essentially inedible. Spent 3 hours there and $50 to eat a relish tray and potatoes because we could only choke down a couple bites of steak and one scallop as an experiment.

We went here for my mother's birthday with a group of 8 and it took over 2hrs to get our food. The place wasn't super busy so there really wasn't an excuse, it should have never taken that long! The waitress offered to buy us a round but we'd already been drinking for 2hrs and didn't feel it was right to get more. The food was mediocre, I ordered the tenderloin and it was cooked appropriately but it definitely wasn't a tenderloin steak and tasted like cardboard. I felt that we tried to hold it together throughout the extremely long wait and it's not like we are looking for free food and drinks but not a single thing was taken off the bill to try to compensate for it. $82 for 2 people's food and drinks. I nor any of my friends and family will ever go back here!

I would not go here again. Here’s why—the service was horrible and the atmosphere was that of an old dive bar. Upon entering, we were not greeted by anyone. When the host did finally greet us, she was rude and unhelpful. It would have been nice if at some point someone asked us “have you ever been here before?” Because we had no idea what was going on. Turns out you order at the front and then they tell you what number table you sit at. Only they don’t take you to it they just tell you “table number 5” and skip away. Since we had never been there, we had no idea where it was and had to go searching. The food wasn’t worth the price. I’ve lived in Wisconsin most of my life and never eaten at a supper club and wondered what was so great about them. Unfortunately this was not a good example—my friends tell me this is definitely not a typical experience, I just picked the wrong one.

Our evening began with checking in for a reservation and being told to walk back to table 16. Not being guided. We went to the table and it already had people there eating. We had to ask for help to be seated. They sat us at an open, dirty table. Took water and place settings from another table. We had 3 waters for 4 people. The basket holding the crackers had garlic toast uncovered touching mildew on the wicker baskets! 6pm reservation no drinks for 30 minutes, food came 7:15pm ...so much more to say...disgusted and will never return or recommend!

We had to wait 1.5 hours to get our order taken then 45 minutes to sit down. Then when I asked about my soup I was told they are out of it. Then I was offered extra bread. The steak over way over cooked. Had to wait for the check. The thing that killed me 10 table eat and left before our order was taken. Around 15 tables open. This is the 2nd time we tried this place manager was sitting at the bar drinking most of the time we had been there. I would not recommend this place at all even if free. Now more than every you want to impress your customers.

Went in with a party of 8 for my cousins birthday. Ordered drinks from the bar, made incorrectly. 35 minutes after our reservation we get seated. Waitress seemed okay but never offered us the baskets of bread that the other tables got. Then when our apps arrived she served half the group, then 2, then 1, then 8 minutes later when they were all done she brought out my soup with no explanation on the delay or any comment at all. Set it in front of me and walked away without a word. When our meals arrived, she served the wrong played to half of us, forgot my mom's meal entirely and ignored our empty water pitchers. 1 of our steaks was the right temp, abs my ribeye was so fatty it was inedible, and we couldn't find our waitress so had to go to the bar to get someone to find her. This would be par for the course the rest of the night. Manager came to check on us and get us water abs find out what was wrong. We never saw our waitress again until time for the check. Even then we again had to go to the bar to get service, we were the only seated table in the dining room we were at in and we waited 25 minutes for our check. Very disappointing since I've heard such good things. Will never go back.

Disappointed for the money we spent. Got our drinks wrong twice. Service was sloooow. (However, they only had two wait staff and they did their absolute best.) I got the steak and stuffed shrimp combo and the only thing edible was the steak. Thank goodness I got a cup of clam chowder or would have left there hungry. My partner got the ribeye and it was not good and he could not finish it, which I have never seen him leave a steak before.

First time trying this restaurant as I live out of town talked to a very nice lady from the area met in ladies room she said the filet mignon was the best and I loved it! Was so tasty, tender, cut like butter seasoned and chared just right had onion soup twice baked potato with cheese relish tray bread crackers bread sticks saw a picture of the grasshopper drink online took my own and was lots to drink! Next time I visit that area I will be back!!

My husband and I typically go to the Heiting Place every Friday night for fish. Been going over 20 years now. That should tell you how much we love to go there...
But we had a special occasion and we went this past Saturday night with some of our family.......

Thinking of choosing The Heiting Place? This was my experience. My signicant other placed reservations based on a friends recommendation. We dined in, we disliked it. The wait for our appetizers was fairly quick, deepfried mushrooms and French onion soup. Both were good, exactly what you expect. For entrees we both went with the Stuffed shrimp, beef tenderloin, and twice baked potato. If you enjoy the good ole salt and pepper seasoning for steak. You would enjoy this bland and joyless steak. Mine was overcooked to medium well and my significant others was undercooked, between raw and rare. The potato was the best thing served to us. And sadly I believe you get the same type of quality from idahoan instant mashed potatoes.
The shrimp, have you ever purchased SeaPak shrimp at the supermarket? You're going to LOVE their shrimp! Do yourself a favor, dine elsewhere.

Went here on a recommendation and seriously want to ask if they have any taste buds If you like super strong drinks, this is the place!!! Took me an hour to finish and Jack and diet in a highball glass. Not super busy when we arrived and it still took two full hours to be served. The fish had zero flavor. Not even salt. The steak was fine, comparable to a Costco cut of meat. Fried shrimp was also fine. Slightly bland but the cocktail sauce was good. Their ranch salad dressing was sweet and I have no idea what was up with the tartar sauce. When paying the bill, the cashier asked how everything was. Said it was ok. Cashier then asked what the problem was with the meal. When we told him, he had no response. We won't be back. There are 100 better places to eat in Appleton.

We called the restaurant at 645. We were told a 10 min wait— we were right down the road and got there at 650. He had a drink and they took our order— we were seated within 15 mins We had our soup and salad and we were told it may take a bit longer due to a party of 8. We said that was ok At 842 we left. No one had come back to our table to tell us what the situation was at that point. Not had anyone come into the didn’t room for us to even ask It was terrible service!

The evening started with uncomfortable chairs, brown smear that looked like poo and tasted worse (for rubbing on the packaged crackers). The French onion soup… I mean dishwater… really topped it off. Worst tasting food I’ve ever had at restaurant. One, done and run. Don’t plan on going back. If you plan to have a nice dinner, run in the other direction.

The bartender left a lot to do desired. Put Olives instead of Charles. The other bartender more than made up for it. Kylie I think was our waitress and was so caring and great service. She earned her tip.

Food listed on menu and online wasn't available(and hasn't been for quite a while according to our waitress). Went there specifically for an item that wasn't available. The food we did order was very bland. The manager/bar tender had the personality of a slug. Unless you were in a group that she knew. Then you were attended to with a smile. Definitely won't be going back there and will not recommend to anyone.

AMAZING FOOD! We came here on Saturday night for dinner. It wasn’t busy at all & we did have to wait a LONG time but it was worth the wait! I got the Ribeye & it was HUGE! Super juicy & flavorful! My boyfriend had the haddock & it was amazing! Great, juicy, buttery flavor! Highly recommend!

Reservation made for 4 adults at 7:30. Bar filled, restaurant is not. Three busboys, one waitress, NO SERVICE. We walked out at 7:50 without even an apology or acknowledgement. I understand everyone is short staffed, but at least acknowledge the live bodies sitting at your tables! VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE ..... ZERO STARS 🌟

The place wasn't very busy and was understaffed but our waitress was very nice and attentive. Unfortunately the food they prepared our table with wasn't fresh.
Chewy onions, brown celery. Nothing in the salads seemed fresh, they only give you one baby tomato and a slice of cucumber with a bland lettuce mix that was also chewy and warm. The shrimp were pretty overcooked and didn't have much seasoning.
Chicken cooked perfect and served incredibly hot, ribs and Cordon Bleu also done very well.
Overall pretty underwhelming for a $60+ meal. I don't fault them for lack of staff though.

It was a busy Friday night, but the staff took care of us quickly on our arrival. Our order was taken at the bar and we got our table a short time later. I had a ribeye and haddock, and it was great, my steak was cooked exactly as I ordered it! Then we had a couple of after dinner drinks. The staff was friendly and I had a great night with a good friend.

Would not recommend if you are looking for someplace new and aren’t already a regular. I can’t comment on the food because they never seated us. Like other reviewers we came in and the bartender asked if we wanted to be seated right away. We said yes, she made a phone call and told us to wait in the hall and a waitress would be with us. We were given menus and proceeded to wait where told for a half an hour. Restaurant staff passed by without comment and other patrons came in and were seated in the dining room at the other side of the restaurant and empty tables were visible in the dining area near us. The food on the menu looked good. I’m not sure why there wasn’t an interest in seating us. None of the guests or staff were wearing masks and we were. It didn’t bother us, but maybe it bothered them that we were wearing them? We decided to not make a fuss and opted for another local restaurant to try.

Shrimp was cold & perch had 3 hairs in it & that’s not all...
We arrived shortly after 5pm to no hostess. Finally, a bartender asked us if we were looking to be seated right away. We said yes & she picked up the phone to hang it up & said ‘just go hang out in the hallways & a waitress wi be right with you.’ As we awkwardly waited between the bar & dining areas, after 5+ minutes we were seated. Less than a minute later a table immediately next to us was seated. My husband was sitting less than a foot away from a person at that table. (COVID times). Not a mask was in sight. Bar area was packed & bartenders & servers did not wear face coverings & I can only assume cooks were not either. Probably should have left, but I guess that was on us.
Ordered our food & I got my side salad. Salad consisted of lettuce & croutons. No cheese or cucumbers or tomatoes or anything more than packaged lettuce & croutons.
Got our meals, husband perch & shrimp x3 for myself. The stuffed shrimp I received was cold, legit cold in the middle. The other two kinds were piping hot, but nothing to write home about. Then, my husband pulls out a hair from his mouth. He continues to eat...two more times he has to pull hair out of his mouth from the perch!
This place was recommended to us by a number of people in the Little Chute area & I have no idea why. Overpriced & below average food at best. Definitely will not return.

Ordered and picked up food tonight...
I had the ribeye and scallops. The scallop were good but the ribeye i ordered medium rare was definitely well done and burnt. The girlfriend ordered a tenderloin and baked haddock. The tenderloin was over cooked as well... I recommended not ordering steak from here if you like it a certain way.

We have been going here for over 8 months and supported through Covid shut down. Excellent bartender and excellent waitresses. But the last two times we have been here the food has gone down hill. We just had our last visit. Told owner about are meal and litteral had nothing to say. They gave us are meal for $20. But nobody seamed to care.

Arrived with reservations and was told that our reservation was later than what it was supposed to be. My wife and I ordered our food and it took 30 minutes to get, the steak was ordered medium rare and was well done, my wife ordered a broiled seafood platter and there was little to no seasoning. At the end of our meal the waitress asked how everything was, I showed her the steak and she agreed it was way over cooked. She then asked my wife if she would like a box for her food (not asking why she did not eat any of it, brought our bill and said have a good night. We WILL not be going back there again.
