We've been to Heritage 71 several times and are never disappointed! Whether seated at the bar or a table (though we haven't made it outside yet), the staff is so friendly and attentive! They pace the food nicely, so if you have apps, they don't bring your meal out before you're done.

My husband has loved all of the meats he's tried (brisket, pulled pork, and ribs, I believe), and I am a huge fan of their burger. Who knew arugula would be good on a cheeseburger? It's fantastic! Don't sleep on their cocktail (and mocktail!) list either - they have a great selection.

We were told it'd be a 15-20 minute wait for 2 people, and after an hour we did not have a table. There were plenty of tables open outside, but staff was struggling to turn them over and get new people seated. The hostess struggled with wait times. Tables outside were being filled by people walking in from the parking lot instead of from the list of people waiting, we could see this because they were seating themselves and receiving menus. After an hour we did go back to the hostess and were seated immediately. The drinks, atmosphere and live music were nice while we waited. We weren't in a hurry, but the wait time almost made us leave because there's a bid difference between 15-20 minutes and 1 hour. I had brisket tacos - and they were good, kind of pricey for 2 tacos, and the homemade chips were bland - salt or warm chips would have made for a better experience. My husband had the sliders and also felt they were ok, the brisket being the best. If you have people in your life that smoke meat you may not find the food great.

What a gem! They had bounce houses and live music the day we went! The weather was perfect, the atmosphere was amazing. Jake Fannin provided great musical entertainment. The food was delicious (best turkey we’ve ever had). Honestly no complaints. So glad this place exists and is so close by.

I feel everything met my full expectations. The one thing I think you could improve upon is your bar is way too wide in back. The poor bartenders are running way too many steps and people are eating at the bar and taking away from an experience where we could have a cocktail before our meals and maybe have one after our meals, but there is no room because You have made the bar so large that people are eating their meals there

Where to start…. Ignore the idiots complaining about their drinks.

My only complaint is they aren’t closer to Appleton.

Hands down best brisket I’ve had in the Midwest at a restaurant. Better than Kansas City and better than Tennessee.

Pork and chicken also spot on. Ribs are served competition style which I’m not really a fan of. Bite is more like a pork chop. But smoke and seasoning were great.

This is a special place. They have a great outdoor space which they should make pet friendly…. Live music outdoors Saturday and Sunday.

Heritage 71 is the real deal in Wisconsin barbecue. So far, I have tried the ribs and the brisket, and I can honestly say that they both are the best I have had since I lived in Memphis. I am looking forward to going back and trying other menu items.

Went with family. First thing I saw was the penalty of 3% extra fee to use my card, so I chose not to eat, so I can’t tell you about the food. I refuse to pay that penalty. Our waitress was very nice though.

Beautiful property and restaurant. Food looked great. Service was subpar and not responsive. Our family arrived and checked in as directed and was on the wait list. After 45 minutes of waiting and watching people walk up and just sit at a table outside with out checking in went inside to check back in and notify. Response was oh ok let me see if I can get a table. 15 minutes later another walk in sat at a table and went back in to check again. Response was the same. Hostess and serving staff seem not to have control it is a grab any open seat situation even though their signs state check in. Be prepared to waste an evening out.

Such a cool outdoor vibe, you can see them smoking the meats! 1 outdoor bar 1 indoor. Outdoor and indoor seating. Friendly staff, and an outdoor game area for adults and kids.

Now the FOOD WAS DELICIOUS. For started we got the pretzel, the waitress wasn’t lying when she said it was JUMBO. 2 of us killed 1/2 of it but definitely could share the whole thing with 4-5 people.
For my meal, I got the sliders trio with pulled pork, pulled chicken, and brisket with a side of cornbread. So freakin delicious.
And their BBQ was great! A peppery type of BBQ.

Overall great experience, and great local BBQ. Worth the 25 min drive!

My husband and I had our 1st visit 8/8/25 for lunch. Our super friendly waitress (and bartender) were Soo helpful, literally said there was nothing on the menu that we wouldn't like...she loved everything . She's definitely right...I had the Brisket Bowl .. Omgosh every bite as delicious as the 1st..my husband had the 3 meats .chicken , ribs and brisket...we actually shared it all. The meats were amazing, tender , fall off the bone, lip smacking scrumptious 😋
Jay had a Bloody Mary, WOWZA flavor packed! I had the coconut Mojito, easy breezy yummy goodness..oh we definitely will be back. We finished our visit w a tour of the smoke house .., so cool, we learned much, it was like hanging out with really fun friends...New Friends 😁

Went here on a Saturday afternoon, chose to eat at the bar after a couple of cocktails . Bar menu is very nice, drinks were tasty. 2 guys in our group had the 5 meat platter and LOVED it! They had trouble picking a favorite as all of the meat was great! I had the turkey club and it was delicious! We also had the dessert which was like a bread pudding and it was so good! Homemade and tasted like to! We will definitely be going back! Don’t let the current construction scare you, no big deal. Very modern atmosphere and welcoming!

My wife and I visited Heritage 71 for the first time. We chose to sit at the bar for a drink while we waited for an open table. She ordered a whiskey sour and I a whiskey old fashioned sour. We both found them to be weak. We were seated before finishing and discussed a drink to have with our meal. My wife decided to switch to wine but I chose to roll the dice hoping for a stronger whiskey old fashioned sour. When our drinks arrived I was surprised to see my drink looked completely different than the first even though the same bartender had mixed it. We stopped our server to request the correct drink which she took back to the bartender and he proceeded to simply add old fashioned mix to the incorrect drink while laughing about our request. It was still not correct since it would be impossible to correct a drink without starting over. We chose to not make an issue but decided to post a review in hopes of educating the staff with the understanding that they have only been open a short time. The drinks aside we found the smoked meats to be right on point and the sides were all very good. We wish you the best of luck.

First time at Heritage, we were seated with in 30 minutes. Had a group of 4 seated outside. Bartender and server were wonderful. We all ordered something different, food was tasty but everything thing we ordered was cold. Person in group ordered fries, they weren't even warm.

We had an amazing experience and thought that the food was delicious. I had the pulled pork sandwich with fries. It was huge and flavorful. It comes without sauce and while it was great on its own, their house made sauce was smoky and a nice change from store bought bbq sauce that you find at other places. My husband loved his tacos and they came with a large portion of chips with queso and salsa. The service was great. We ate at the bar and enjoyed the gentleman that served us. He was attentive and funny. Food came out faster than we expected. We will definitely be back!

This is an incredible restaurant, a fairly construction of post and beam architecture with very high ceilings. Huge windows and a magnificent bar that probably seats 50 plus. We had a party of 11 and everyone literally raved about there food. The service was excellent our waitress was fantastic. They also have a huge outdoor dining, drinking area where they also have live music on select nights of the week. Another highlight is the "The Meat Smoker", it's in it's own outdoor building and is the biggest smoker I've ever seen. This restaurant is well worth the drive.

Called ahead to reserve seating. Was told they don’t take reservations and that there shouldn’t be a problem with seating. When I arrived I was told there would be a wait. I informed the host of my phone conversation I had. He then said they had a reservation cancel. So are there only reservations allowed for certain people? Waited over an hour for our food. When food finally came it was cold. Was given a cherry cobbler for the inconvenience. I will not be returning. Keep your slow service and cold food.

$13 cocktails. An hour and fifteen minute wait for barbecue that my husband described as tough and dry. Ran out of the meat I ordered (it was 4:30pm) but wasn’t informed until an hour after the order was placed. Only two sauces, neither tasted like bbq. Brought concerns to the owner who was condescending, rude, and unprofessional. No apology. Won’t be back and actively advise others not to waste their time and money.

Disappointed. Dined on a Thursday. Outdoor tables were full. Several of the large picnic tables only had 2 people at them. They could use some smaller tables so that parties of 2 don't waste seating space. Inside was too cold with the air conditioning. Wanted to order the skillet cookie but it was no longer on the menu. Ordered cheese curds which where a 5 out of 10. It would be nice if they had more vegetarian items on their menu.

If you’re reading this instead of driving to Heritage 71 right now, you’re doing it all wrong.

First of all, I had the pork nachos with queso and I’m 97% sure they were engineered by NASA because I lifted off.. idk what in the world is in that queso but it can’t be legal. The brisket was so tender I almost asked it what its secret was. the cornbread straight up healed something inside me. and the truffle fries? shut up. Those fries and the sauce are the side dish equivalent of a mic drop. I didn’t know I could leave a place still feeling emotionally attached to my food

Atmosphere? Immaculate whether it was inside or out. Outdoor patio was a 10/10—perfect spot to let our kids roam semi-feral while we focused on the important things: smoked meats and pretending we were in Texas. oh and they just put in an outdoor bar. You’re three drinks deep all of a sudden and start whispering “i think i live here now” And even though they were absolutely slammed, the staff was busting their briskets to take care of every table with kindness, hustle, and good energy you unfortunately just don’t get at most places these days

Heritage 71 isn’t just food—it’s an experience. A smoke-kissed, sauce-drizzled fever dream that lives rent-free in my brain now. I would eat here daily if my arteries signed a waiver.

Just eat here with my family of four tonight. Got there around 8:20ish and they close at 9:00pm. Was super busy, which is ok. Didn't mind it at all. It was well worth the wait. The place just opened a few weeks ago. They were out of a few things, which again is totally understandable. The food was amazing!! The smells were also outstanding!! Our server was amazing as well, ask for Melissa. If you like the smell and to eat smoked meat, this is the place for you to try out. We will be going there again, hopefully not too late next time!

Tried Heritage 71 for the first time today. Got there before the rush and we ordered two of the specialty cocktails - an old fashioned and a Bahama Mama. My boyfriend liked the old fashioned however the Bahama Mama so strong I could only drink half. I don’t know if the bartender made this incorrectly or the ratio within their recipe needs to be tweaked but it definitely needed more of the fruit juices added in. And for $11, I was expecting a much better drink. The bartenders also gave the impression as being pretty disorganized as we kept being asked over and over if we needed another drink (as the other bartender was busy making our drinks) or if we wanted to order food (after we had already ordered and were waiting for the food to arrive). We ordered the pulled pork nachos for an appetizer and they were very good. The homemade cheese sauce was great. We would definitely order this again. For dinner we had ribs with mac & cheese and french fries. The ribs were good but the mac & cheese and french fries were both cold so that was very disappointing. Overall, we would try this a place again, as they just recently opened and need to work out the kinks, and hopefully have a better experience.

Got to try the new Heritage 71 and loved it! I got the bahama mama which is my favorite mixed drink and it was great. My husband got an old fashioned which he enjoyed. I got the smoked half chicken and it had the perfect amount of smoke flavor and the rub was really good; and I got a side of the smoked cream corn. My husband got the pork sandwich with a side of cinnamon apples which were also amazing. I loved the pickled red onions. And we got a slice of carrot cake which we both loved. The service was a little slow which is to be expected since they just opened. But the staff was extremely friendly and there was no down time. The place is just beautiful and they have a game room and cool merch. We will definitely be back!
