We chose this spot for.our 32nd anniversary dinner after coming upon a tik tok video about the spot. It has all the classic Wisco menu items and a nice atmosphere. My wife had a couple of the brown sugar old fashioned contains. They were very tasty. She also had their 14oz ribeye. She asked for medium rare and got a perfect medium rare. It was nicely seasoned. She chose garlic mashed potatoes for the side. They were also tasty. I chose the pan fried walleye filet with a side of squash. The fish flaked nicely and the seasoning was on point. The squash was delicious. We both had salads with my wife trying the garden and I had the steakhouse. The steakhouse salad is an iceberg wedge with bacon, blue cheese crumbles, and French dressing. It was great. We took home slices of carrot and apple spice cake for dessert. Both were freshly made and fabulous. We will be back in the future. All around a great meal.

Perhaps the best steak house I've ever been to in terms of food quality, service, and price point. My friends and I have been going to Deer Valley for a mini golf trip for multiple years. We always make sure to get at least one meal at Hi Point and every time it is a highlight of our trip.
The steak is excellent and you can taste the quality of their beef. I always get their Hi Point special (a delmonico cut) or prime rib. Both are always perfectly cooked, juicy, and exactly what I look for when ordering steak.
The French onion soup is perhaps the best I've ever had. The broth is rich and savory and the soup has a perfect balance of cheese/bread to marry with the flavorful onion/beefy broth.
The cheese curds and desserts are all fantastic as well. If you're looking to eat dinner in the area, or even within double digit miles, it would be hard to beat a visit to Hi Point.

We travel an hour to visit this restaurant 4-6 times a year. We always dine early to avoid the crowd. They open at 4 pm but don’t seat anyone until 5, which is perfect. It allows us to sit at the bar and enjoy a cocktail before dinner. The food here is always excellent. The prime rib is absolutely fantastic and their veggies are always fresh. The onion haystack appetizer is fantastic. We’ve never had dessert here because we’re always too stuffed but they look great. Pro tip - you MUST have reservations to dine here. Which is an indication of their fantastic food and service.

Everything about this place was outstanding. We were told it would be a 15 minute wait, but it was really like 5. Our server was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The crab legs come cracked for you, which is a huge win, and they have creme brulee, which is my favorite dessert.

Dodgeville class of 1975 held our 50th Class Reunion in the event room on August 16, 2025. It was wonderful everything! The food was excellent, the room was set up exactly as requested, the bartenders were friendly, helpful and worked quickly! We would definitely hold our event here again! They were a pleasure to work with, Beth was extremely quick to respond to any questions we had and so helpful! Everything was perfection! Thank you Hi Point for making our event spectacular! A gem of a place!

This is an amazing place hidden away in the little town of Ridgeway. I had the hi point special (dry aged ribeye steak) and tried their pork belly bite appetizer. The steak is always amazing, and the pork belly was coated in raspberry BBQ sauce - very tasty. The only downside was the upgrade to the seasonal watermelon feta salad: there was very little watermelon and the pieces that were there were very small. The salad also had some chopped nuts in it, and while I don't have an allergy the fact that this wasn't told to me either when ordering the pick up order, or when I picked it up was a little concerning (the menu online doesn't list the seasonal salads at all).

My husband and I hired Hi Point Steak House to cater our wedding in May 2025, and they did an absolutely amazing job. From the first tasting with Richard to all the planning conversations with both Richard and Beth, everything was smooth and easy. They were quick to respond, clear with communication, and offered plenty of great options for us to choose from.
We went with the full-service meal and bar package, which included tablecloths, and added bar service on top of that. The food was seriously delicious—our guests couldn’t stop talking about it—and we felt it was 100% worth the price.
The Hi Point staff clearly care about what they do. They were thoughtful and professional with the setup, and handled everything so well at our venue. We’re really grateful we went with them and would absolutely recommend Hi Point Steak House to anyone looking for catering.

This review is about both the dining and catering experiences, as I have been a customer for both.
First, the dining experience is top-notch. Dining options are few and far between where Hi Point is located, but it is such amazing quality food and service that it often attracts folks from Madison and other areas. The brandy Old Fashioned’s are great, and you’ll be sure to receive a generous pour of brandy. Every menu item I’ve ever had, including one of their chef specials (hot honey fried chicken) was incredible. Steaks are high quality and made precisely to your liking every time. The service is also excellent every time, even with some of the younger waitstaff, which reflects well on their staff training.
We decided to go with Hi Point as our caterer for both our wedding rehearsal dinner (on site in the ballroom) and our reception dinner (off site at the Blue Mound State Park Friends Shelter). Both events went exceedingly well and the staff were attentive and courteous. The events coordinator, Beth, was extremely responsive, on a couple occasions even replying to my email within minutes. She is a great communicator and was always thorough, answering all our questions with the amount of detail we were seeking. The process of doing a tasting went well; we ended up doing two tastings to ensure we could try items from all three menus. We were pleased to find out you do not need to choose just one menu and you can mix and match/customize items from all three menus. Richard, the head cook and owner, is an awesome guy who is clearly passionate about what he does. He attended our tastings and final meeting before the event, which helped me and my husband feel that we were in good hands and that our expectations were being heard by the ultimate person in charge. We had about 10 guests who needed veg/vegan options and despite being a steakhouse, Richard and his team were able to make really tasty substitutions for those folks. Finally, I want to extend a big thank-you to the bartender that they chose for our reception, Cole. Cole worked with our pop-up bar setup and a menu of three signature cocktails that I had made up. He only had a chance to review some notes but everything was otherwise novel to him on-site. Despite that, he was wonderful. When an issue arose with one ingredient I had forgotten, Cole was resourceful and found a sensible alternative. He made one of my favorite craft cocktails perfectly; it was such a delight. The waitstaff were also very attentive. As the Bride who barely found time to eat or drink, I noticed my water glass was constantly being refilled by waitstaff - I knew I was being taken care of! Thanks, Hi Point, for outstanding service. We appreciate you and you have found lifelong patrons in us!

Very good prime rib and cocktails. We found our sides just okay. Very friendly servers and a nice old time rural supper club atmosphere that is getting harder to find. We did have to wait 20+ min later than our reservation for our table but there was room at the bar.

We recently visited Hi Point Steakhouse for the first time and had a great experience overall. We made our reservation online several weeks in advance, which worked smoothly. Our waitress was sweet and accommodating—even while clearly managing a busy evening.
My husband ordered the Highpoint Special with added shrimp and mushrooms, and I had the Chicken Caprese Pasta with the upgraded seasonal salad. Both meals were excellent—flavorful, well-prepared, and generous in portion size. Great value for the price!
If we’re in the area again, there are just a couple things we’d do differently: we’d call to make the reservation (instead of booking online) and request not to be seated at the small two-person table near the bathroom and main traffic area of the dining room. I’d also ask for either a larger glass of water or a pitcher, since we didn’t see our server often enough for frequent refills.
All in all, it was a very enjoyable dinner. My husband gave it an 8 out of 10, and I’m giving it a full 10. We’ll definitely be back!

Atmosphere is fine, service was nothing out of this world,. One time a server told me they ran out of asparagus for my meal, they had nothing to replace it with and there was absolutely nothing they could do. No discount. No free dessert, didn’t even try. You also can’t eat at the bar which I find dumb, you’re a tin building in the middle of nowhere not a Michelin star place in manhattan, also the food is actually absolutely nothing worth the money. My partner and I left our Valentine’s Day dinner and both agreed it was not worth $170 we have had better steak dinners at Texas rhoadhouse for a fraction of the cost. We gave our steak to the cat. Look around sometime, it’s a certain generation. They don’t know any different

We arrived 5-10 minutes early and were able to get a drink from the bar. We then got a table right at our reservation time. It was pretty loud inside, but still able to talk to everyone at the 10 person table. Food was really good. The relish tray had many different options, filet was cooked well and flavorful, and scallops were tasty. The scallop enhancer is two scallops and the scallops main dish 4. Would be better if it was 3 and 6. Many options for after dinner drinks as well. The waitress was great. Parking was a bit difficult at 5:30.

This is a very fine steak house. The steaks are priced a bit above average, but are of great quality and definitely worth it. The service is top notch. The only complaint I would have is when my wife asked for an extra portion of dressing for her salad we had to pay extra for it. Not a big deal, but I thought it was a little petty for a higher end steak house.

My husband and I had never been there before but did have reservations. Reservations is a must at this place which should tell you how good the food is!! I had the scallop risotto and he had the prime rib, it was AMAZING!! Some of the best food we have had in a restaurant since we have been together in almost 28 yrs. The service was great. Food was just mediocre. I've had better shrimp elsewhere. The prime rib was very good, but disappointing they don't let you get it cooked the temp you prefer. We have been craving a top notch supper club experience and we FINALLY found it! The food was superb, the staff was so friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, and the ambiance was fantastic. Luckily, my wife and I will be returning many times. 10/10 I ordered the steak perfect medium cook and my wife’s chicken cordon bleu was also thoughtfully prepared and tasted amazing. My husband and I celebrated our 5yr wedding anniversary there on Tuesday, November 5th. Our server, Adam, was amazing, as well as the food. It was our first time there since the fire/remodel, absolutely beautiful!! My 11yo and I shared the ribeye and added a lobster tail, my husband had the aged NY strip. We were too full for dessert, but those looked delicious, too!! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.

Food insanely good. Not that long a wait for food. We had reservations and were seated immediately on a Friday night. Waiter was top notch. Poured my soup around a pile of crab and herbs table side. My wife and I went for our anniversary. First time dining there and was not disappointed. We ordered the crab cakes as an appetizer. They had lots of meat and were full of flavor. The garlic aoli they came with was a perfect pair. I ordered their 14oz ribeye, with mushrooms, garlic potatoes and scallops. The scallops and steak were cooked to perfection. The scallops were big and meaty. The wife ordered the pork porterhouse chop with the homemade hashbrowns with cheese and onions. Once again all cooked perfectly. They also make a great old fashioned! To say this place has great steaks is an understatement! It was easily the best steak I have ever had in my life. My husband and I came to the area from the Twin Cities to go to The House on the Rock, but we would make the trip again just to eat at Hi Point. Not only was the food out of this world, but the service was outstanding! Our server Stacie K was wonderful! It was extremely busy but she was still able to check on us with a smile on her face and one of the friendliest natures I have ever seen. The worst place ever, we called them and they said we open at 4, and we waited outside until 4, and when we were in, they are asking for reservation, and I told them that I called you, they were like “oh, I’m sorry but you need to make a reservation” and there was anyone in that place. The stupid customer service ever.

It’s my first time here since the rebuild. Needless to say, the decor is nicely updated and fresh. There is a casual elegance to the place now.
Everyone from the hostess to our server were all super friendly. Very attentive and polite.
The food was always good here, but it seemed to tasted better now. I’m not sure if it’s just an illusion, with the new decor and all. I had recently eaten at a high-end steakhouse in Chicago and I gotta tell you, HP’s filet mignon rivals those restaurants, hands down! The filet was a PERFECT medium. Besides being a nice thick filet, it was soft, tender, juicy, flavorful, easy to cut. I thoroughly enjoyed this steak! The sides of caramelized onions & mushrooms were an excellent compliment to this wonderful steak.
Other plates: the Walleye was flakey and tender, but the breading was alittle chewy, not crunchy. My friend’s Delmonico was also prepared to perfection.
The orange infused crème brûlée introduced a delightfully fresh taste to your palate, along with the creamy-crunchy you expect from the dessert. I really wasn’t expecting to like it, but I did.
Overall, it was a fun and satisfying dining experience. Definitely deserving a return visit.

Our server Lexi was very professional, attentive, and very patient. The filet was melt in your mouth and very flavorful. The steaks were done to perfection. There was no skimping on the toppings for the baked potatoes either. We live in the suburbs of Minneapolis and found Hi Point through searching the net. A must for steak lovers!

My husband and I went for our anniversary. We had been there a few years prior and had liked it enough to return. Things changed.
The restaurant itself had a fire and they renovated. It is gorgeous inside, very classy.
We started with drinks and the crab bisque at the bar. Soup was the highlight of the entire evening. My drink was great, but husband said his old fashioned was too strong. I ordered steak and scallops he got steak and shrimp. Scallops tasted bland, almost stale and were in au jus of sorts. My onions for my steak also came in the mystery brown liquid and were sweet, like syrupy, I sent them back. The veggie was great, which was a garlic parmesan crusted zucchini spear. I should've gotten a plate-full of those because my steak was unevenly cooked and too salty. I like salty, but that was excessive.

Cosmas was a dream come true for our wedding cake! She took the inspiration photo I gave her and turned it into something even more stunning. It was exactly what I had hoped for, only better. As an industry worker, it is pretty hard to impress me. This place was lights out the best Supper club I have been to. Have been to roughly 20+ supper clubs, and this was phenomenal. The service was perfect. Bartenders were incredibly nice and helpful when talking about the dishes…the empanadas were extremely fun for a supper club and so perfectly executed! Entrees…goodness, ribeye was perfectly cooked and using local beef was definitely noticeable. The lobster, was perfectly done, and the seafood Croque we found out was new to the menu, but hopefully becomes a house staple! Cannot recommend this establishment enough. If you are in the area and on the fence where to eat…don’t guess again! Cheers to you all at Hi Point! Such an amazing experience!

Remodeled building. Quaint supper club decor and atmosphere. Food was amazing. Service was outstanding. Drinks were unique and excellent. Bit pricey I thought but I will definitely go back! We had the onion rings- they were thick cut onions! I had the seared sesame tuna appetizer- excellent. My husband had the 10oz Hanger steak on a bed of oyster mushrooms that was a "special" of the evening. It was a perfect match together and cut like butter it was so tender and flavorful. The bread was warm, seasoned and excellent as well. Too full for dessert! We had the Rude Rhubarb cocktail that was light and refreshing. We both really liked it. I had a iced coffee drink that was excellent as well. Look forward to coming back for the outdoor terrace seating to watch sunsets! They have an event space as well.

We have been planning to go to Hi Point for at least a good year. Living in Janesville, it required about an hour Travel. So for our anniversary, we went. After getting there having our meal, It was well worth the trip. I enjoyed the giant scallop asparagus risotto. Which was more of a piece of art then food, LOOKED AMAZING Caramelized flavor was just as amazing. My wife Enjoyed a delicious New York strip. It was as tender as could be.

At the risk of making this place busier than it already is, Hi Point is an exceptional Wisconsin supper club. I'm picky about my steaks and specifically filet mignon, and they knocked it out of the park, excellent quality and perfectly prepared. The service was also terrific, and you can't beat the old-school Wisco vibe. Reservations recommended and totally worth the drive. Enjoy!

I love this place, its one of my favorites to save for a special occasion, Their crab cakes are amazing and worth getting 2 orders of. Everything on their menu is amazing along with their staff. My only complaint is that if you order a medium steak it comes out rare, which is with almost all steakhouses, and not worth taking a star off for either.

Absolutely wonderful! Awsome experience drove with family an hour just to try for the first time. Enjoyed the Bavarian pretzel & house relish tray (more clubs need to add this)! Hi point delmonico steak was perfect accompanied with lobster tail. Enjoyed homemade birthday cake, surprised how good it was. Service was stellar and warm. We took our daughter and son in law to their first supper club and all of us enjoyed our meals. I had the French onion soup to start. My husband and i had the trout special. The others had the cod special. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The restaurant was newly rebuilt following a devastating fire and they did a beautiful job. It was so nice to share this experience with our family. Our server was very friendly and available to us throughout the meal.
