We have a cabin and seasonal cottage on Lake Esadore. We've been to High View about half a dozen times this year. The food and drinks are always perfect. The Friday fish fry rivals any I have ever had. The hash browns are the best. The owners and staff are always friendly. This place is an asset to the area.

We had high hopes but The High View Inn was definitely a Low View for us. The atmosphere was pretty good, the water front view was pretty, food was good. However we got some alcoholic drinks and they did not taste like they had any alcohol in them at all. We also had after dinner drinks just to see if they were any better. Absolutely not. The biggest let down by far was our waitress, hopefully it was just an off day for her but her attitude was horrible. Very short with all of us, didn't listen well when we asked a question, it seemed like we were an irritation to her not paying customers. We drove an hour and 40 min to go for my mother in laws Birthday since we loved Palms ( in BRF) that burnt down since others told us the chicken was the same. Indeed it was and she was very happy. But our waitress didn't even ask if we had been in before, what brought us out today nothing.

My friends and I stay in Medford for a weekend once every year and we always go to the High View for the prime rib and some cocktails on a Friday or Saturday. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is exactly what you want in a supper club, and the food and drinks are spot on! We usually make a reservation the day of or the day before without any problem.

We went on Fri night. Fish was very greasy. I ordered the seafood mac and cheese. Asked the waitress what seafood was in dish. She stated lobster. It was shrimp and possibly crab. It was the smallest serving size. It barely covered the bottom of bowl. The taste was fine but equivalent to small cereal bowl serving. Another person ordered Alfredo with bow tie pasta. Description stated it contained broccoli yet it came plain. Waitress stated you have to ask for broccoli even though description stated it was standard. Will not return.

We had reservations was seated promptly, was given menus then it was like we were invisible there were 6 of us at a table in the corner. I had to go tell a waitress that we have been there for 20 minutes. After that everything went smoothly received our drinks, ordered, and got our soups and salads which were excellent the bacon spinach salad is awesome! Then we received our fish fry dinners we all ordered it was the worst fish fry I and everyone else has ever eaten it was very greasy (soggy ) and too much breading. When the waitress came to ask us how everything was I told her about it and she replied she will let the cook know that is as far as it went.I was very disappointed We have eaten there before and it use to be excellent I don't know what happened to that place they need to address these issues!!!

I had better expectations for this place because of past reviews, but was very disappointed. My husband and I wanted a nice place to go for a special occasion. The atmosphere was nice but the service and the food were extremely disappointing. We got there and the server looked irritated to even be there and have to serve us and when we got our steaks they were okay tasting, but with only a tiny side salad and a plain baked potato as sides for nearly $90 (we didn't order drinks)...not worth it!

Stopped by the High View for dinner one night. It was my first time there, but i had heard good things about it from a few different friends. They had recommended the walleye strips so I had to give them a try. I was so surprised with how many you get with an order. I mixed them with a tiger shrimp dinner and I was in heaven. The scallops were good, but you didn't really get your money's worth for them. The Cole slaw was amazing and the baked potato was a baked potato, nothing more, nothing less.

This wonderful supper club inn was so good we are going again tonight.

We had the prime rib and walleye yesterday and we both agreed lots flavor and extremely tender prime rib. The sides were incredible too. Hash browns with cheese and onions, spinach salad, baked potato and coleslaw. Loved the hash browns and coleslaw so much.

We even got to meet the owners who were beyond friendly! Yep we will back tonight.

The food was good, the service as well. A reservation can be made ahead of time, Otherwise you'll have to wait for a table. Jut had dinner there ,!the staff was fine but the food and atmosphere left a lot to be desired. For $80 I expected more than plain boring non seasoned food. The broccoli cheese soup was more carrots than anything and pretty runny not thick like a cream soup should be. Don’t ask for mushrooms on your steak, was dumped from a can and not even hot, again no seasoning.
Very disappointing. Next time out for dinner I’ll go anywhere else !

This is husband and restuarant in which both partners ply an active role ensuring that everyone is treated like a king. All of the staff are very attentive friendly and ensure that the food for the table arrives at same time for everyone, the portions are good the quality of the food is good. I personally am not a desert person and just as well as there is no dessert menu available. I ordered the walleye dinner. What a disappointment, for almost $19, you get 1 little slice of fish, the hashbrowns were dried out and rubbery, they must have been sitting for quite a while. The others in my party ordered the prime rib. I can't believe this place serves such a sad piece of meat. It really didnt even look like prime rib. Was very thin and small. The fries they ordered looked old and were mushy. Our waitress seemed so overwhelmed. Couldn't remember who ordered what, had it all messed up.
