Exceptionally good food. I was pleasantly surprised for a restaurant attached to a hotel. I stayed at the hotel for a couple of weeks and ate there every night but one. Everything I tried was very good. One of their servers, Emanuel, is one of the nicest guys I've ever met. Friendly and with a great personality. I always ate by myself and our chats always made me feel less alone.

Stayed at this Hotel. Ate at this Restaurant right in hotel. I had Fish and garlic cheese mashed potatoes and salad bar. My husband had Pork Tenderloin and garlic cheese mashed potatoes and salad bar. I tried a piece of the Tenderloin as well. I'm a very picky eater and I can say the food was Very Good. Going back for the Brownie/Ice cream Dessert later this evening. Serves was Great. Hotel stay was Great as well.

In a town like Madison. You will find so many excellent restaurants. Unfortunately this is not one of them. I stayed at this hotel many times and given the restaurant a couple of chances before writing this. The bartender is always fun and friendly. The service is always very good. If at the bar usually excellent! But food has always been below average. Today for example. I did takeout. I can keep it simple and to the point. The wings we ordered had a taste of oil that was clearly overdue to change (did not eat them). Move on to the Bruschetta. They took a simple and delicious item and tried to put a new spin on it. Maybe tonight it was simply not expected right. However what I received was absolutely cold pieces of toast with melted cheese on top. Then the tomatoes somehow were warm (nothing else was). The basil was not bright green and had a weird flavor. My guess is that the tomato mixture was pre mixed so the flavor was lost. The mozzarella that was melted was different but no traditional parm or Romano could be tasted or was provided on the side. Again this is not my first time here and the service has always been amazing. That said if you don’t want to leave the hotel and eat here. I suggest keeping it simple. We have had decent burgers here.

I enjoyed this establishment. The Highland Corner Grill is attached to the Best Western Inntowner hotel where I was staying for work in the area. Seemed like after my late 10+ hour days I could easily locate a seat at the small bar and find excellent pricing on both food and drink - with both being quite tasty whether it be wings, quesadillas, burgers, salad bar beers or martini's. There are higher end meals other than pub-food as well.

Bartenders and service staff were top notch with food/drink suggestions and friendly back-and-forth banter.

Honestly, I felt little need to leave my hotel for nourishment during my stay in Madison.

Note the Inntowner hotel uses the restaurant space for complementary breakfast in the morning. No frills/standard breakfast items that certainly are enough to get you going in the AM.

One additional note - this hotel has A LOT of patrons who are in the area for very serious medical reasons and are getting treatment at the university hospital. You will see these individuals in all areas of the complex - a quick reminder of how much we (the able bodied) take for granted.

Dude. The ribeye steak was to die for. I asked for it to be blackened with the blackening from the salmon. It was so fricken amazing after some edibles from michigan.

Excellent food. It's a bit pricey but worth it. Although this restaurant is located in the Best Western Inntowner in Madison, WI it does not rest on the fact that most of their customers are first-timers and restricted by time and location for other eatery options. Their food is well conceived and executed. I especially recommend the Garlic Honey Pork Tenderloin and the Ribeye.

Food was fairly good, but the price for the amount you got was outrageous. I got a burger and fries which cost $10 but I left still hungry. The staff was also horrible. We walked into the front door and waited for close to 5 minutes for a hostess to seat us, and during that wait time the bartender was sitting at the bar and just staring at us. Once the hostess seated us and we walked into the restaurant fully there were only 2 other tables that had people seated, so not sure why it took 5 minutes to get to us. Once we were seated the waiter came over took our drink orders, walked away put the order in and came back to ask what we wanted. In less than 5 minutes he was over 3 times asking what we wanted. He was very pushy. Our whole experience lasted about half an hour. We left very displeased.

Good food! The interior design is a mixture of rustic and industrial. Mason jars for cups, wood, older light bulbs for light fixtures (Edison lights I think?). The waitress was AWESOME. She was quick, efficient, had a great memory, and made us feel very welcomed. The only time she was "slow" was when a sweet old lady talked to the waitress for awhile about her laundry (???). We were waiting for our check and she was only a couple yards away. But sometimes you just have to let elderly people talk it out. It happens. She was absolutely wonderful. I wish I could remember her name. It was a party of 4 and we got our delicious food very quickly. Bruscetta is a bit different than I normally get, but I still liked it alot. The cheese curds are good as are the steaks. I recommend the portabella burger.

I give one star because the food was great. Service was horrible. My son and I stood at the front of the restaurant for a good 8 mins as the 2 servers looked at us and walked by multiple times. When one of them finally did acknowledge us or me for a better word we were finally seated. She didn't offer me a child menu. She was rude I watched her tend to other tables before she finally came over and got my order. She looks at my 1 year old and says does he want anything to drink? It wasn't until i was sitting there for a while and my son was getting fussy that I walked up to the front to see if they had any crayons. They hand me crayons. So I ask for paper too. Now I am aware that there is a child menu. So I decide to order something for my son. They bring out my food, and when I am done eating they still haven't brought out the fruit and mac and cheese that I ordered nearly 15 mins ago. I ended up leaving my cash on the table for my meal and walking out. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE service!!!
