This may be a good restaurant for lunch and dinner, but if you show up at 8:00am expecting breakfast, you're going to be disappointed. We've tried twice and have had the same result. NOT OPEN! So either change your hours to when going to actually be open, or open at 8:00am when your website says you will be. That is why the 1 star.

Went on a Friday evening for dinner. They were very busy. Service was fine, nothing exceptional. Same with the food. If you want a quick bite of something to fill your stomach but aren't looking for anything fancy this is the place to go!

all American food. tables are very close together. the food was okay. the kids burger is the same size as the adults burger but the meal was significantly cheaper because it didn't come with the pitiful salad that comes with the adult burger meal. I'm sorry... I just wasn't impressed. the burgers were good though.

My mom and I just had lunch at Highway 54 family restaurant for the first time. The restaurant interior is just beautiful! The wood floors are stunning! the tin ceiling is gorgeous! They have granite countertops and it was incredibly clean. The restroom was very pretty! I thought it would be questionable but it was very clean and very modern and beautiful.

We had excellent service. The coffee was very good. It was hot and tasty. Not like a cup of hot water. We had chicken noodle soup which was hot and perfectly seasoned and just brimming with the noodles and chicken. I had a cheeseburger with fries and my mom had the Cobb salad. The cheeseburger was delicious! The meat had such good flavor and almost a little taste of garlic or something in it, I loved it! The fries were delicious just like fresh potatoes fried and clean oil! My mom salad was enough to feed four people and she took a lot of it home. It had chicken breast in it and all kinds of fresh vegetables. We enjoyed our meal very very much! It was also very reasonably priced and they had a lot of specials and I’m hoping to not be as full next time so I can try their pie or cheesecakes. The owner or the chef or possibly both came out to see how everything was at the end of our meal which we really appreciate it. I think it could be the hidden gem of the county. I am definitely hoping to go again and take my family.

Decided to try out dinner on 2/17/2019 @ 5:30p. Waitress was good, atmosphere also equally good. Order #1 Sirloin, ff, vegetables and chicken soup. Order #2 Sirloin, shrimp, ff, vegetables and chicken soup All were terrible and no flavor. Steaks were ordered MR and WD and came back burnt, very chewy, and absolutely no flavor. Whoever the cook is needs to learn how to cook a steak. (Use a meat thermometer instead of slicing the steak up to check the wellness) I expected better with the prices!! I will take the extra drive to Wausau and have Texas Roadhouse! Absolutely horrible and do not recommend!!!!

Husband asked about fish and waitress said they were on the board. Asked for grilled cod and was told they didn't have. (Was on the board) Odered food. Asked for onion rings before food. People came after we ordered and multiple tables had food and in one case their bill before our food even came. Asked waitress and she said ours later because of appetizer (order of onion rings) and salad. My salad came with meal. Will not return!!!

Just got home from there. Service was fine however the food was absolutely nothing to go back for. My 2 friends got sandwiches which were typical and I got steak and shrimp and my steak wasn’t done correctly, oddly fatty for a sirloin and the shrimp weren’t what the picture shown, they were cheap prebreaded frozen ones which I paid $16 for. Soda ups are also 8oz water cups. Not impressed.

We stopped there for lunch on Saturday (11-10-18) and everyone in our group was very happy with the food and service. For those that gave bad reviews, consider going back and giving them another chance? Any restaurant starting out is bound to have some glitches. Our server (I wish I'd paid attention so I could give him credit by name) was attentive, the food was prompt, and tasty, and the prices were fine. I'll be stopping out with friends again soon.
