The food and sevice were good, but not great. Food was very average. Nothing special about any of the meals my group ordered. We all had basically the same response when asked about our food; It was ok. Atmosphere was neat with lots of brewery history and multiple tvs. My group have eaten at several places in the Stevens Point Area that have far superior food, I hope we simply hit an off night.

Always a great time at Hilltop. The server Elizabeth was amazing. So friendly and welcoming. It’s a hot day and she brought a bowl of water for the dog of the table next to me without the owners even asking. Talk about serving the whole party! I hope I get her as my server again.

This place has the best atmosphere. Along with the best humans. Even when you call last minute for food, they are the kindest. Glass of wine to end my night, service with nothing but smiles. First time here. I was quickly seated at 5:00pm on a Thursday (note: by 6:00 the place was busy). My waitress was friendly and efficient. I tried a summer cocktail (cucumber mojito-- delicious), fried pickle spears (amazing -- hot, crispy, very tasty), and the taco salad (fresh ingredients but just OK). It is a casual place; any attire is fine. Overall, I would recommend the place. I look forward to returning & trying more menu items.

1st time here, we're staying next door, is this why you lack at customer service, because most guests are just passing through?
I ordered a glass of Sauvigon and my first sip had an unpleasant bite, not how this variety should taste. Unless I suppose it's a very cheap brand. I asked the bartender if he can take it off my bill, I had put in an order for an appetizer also. He told me no I still have it to pay for it that'stheir policy. I asked him if it was towards the end of the bottle he said yes then I said can you open a new bottle and he said well that was a new bottle so then I canceled my appetizer and left.

I've never been to an establishment that has a policy like that. Same if a guest's food doesn't satisfy? Shameful.

Hilltop Pub & Grill has always been a Stevens Point institution. But now it feels more like a tourist trap than a place I want to frequent as a local. The food’s okay, the atmosphere’s nice but noisy, the service is good, and we’ve been customers for years. My out of town family never misses a chance to eat here when visiting. But today was our last visit. It’s disappointing that, in times when eating out is a luxury that few can afford in this economy, Hilltop has not only raised their prices but started charging extra for sides. Sandwiches, Burgers and Wraps no longer come with fries. Now you’re looking at $4+ extra for that. Two sandwiches, fries, and a beer each cost us $60 with tip. Hilltop’s always packed, so good for them, they won’t miss my business, but I’ll be taking my money to smaller local restaurants that appreciate their customers.

The atmosphere is great. The waitress was “above and beyond” fantastic! Amazing service. I would have given the food a 5 star, but I struggled with the fish. I had walleye fillets. The fillets were fried, SKIN and all. I am not a fan of eating the skin of a walleye. Being kind, I didn’t relay this to the waitress because she was great and I didn’t want to ruin her mood. The cheese curds were really good. The spinach dip was really good. I hate to leave a negative review, but don’t order the walleye unless you wanna eat fried fish skin. It wasn’t fried long enough to cook the skin well either, it just made it moist and slimy. It made it taste like I grabbed it out of the river and took a bite out of the side of it. $18.99 and the French fries and coleslaw was all I ate of the plate. (By the way, the coleslaw is amazing!!). I went there due to the perch reviews, but perch is only on Fridays. Thanks.

One of my favorite places in Stevens point. It's iconic in this area I have friends that went to college here that's still talk about the place! It's worth coming just to see the barrel entrance. The food was good service was good it's all you can ask for :-)

Stopped here at the last minute. We were seated right away, before the dinner rush came in. Food was amazing so was the service. Our waitress was on point and so were the other waitresses I observed. Always checking on their customers. Restrooms were clean and stocked. Decor in the establishment was rustic and cute. Big screen TVs in the dining room allow you to watch your favorite sports team. My husband has been here several times for work and suggested it. Overall great experience. I would go back.

This place is fantastic! I would recommend the beer battered fries over the other options for sides. The burger was delicious and very tasty. The beer cellar as the entrance is also super cute and the general atmosphere is very cool. Highly recommend a visit!

As an accessibility focused individual who uses a manual wheelchair, we had limited choices for parking (2 or 3 spots available), but it was well worth the trip. Waiting was about 45 min, but you can wander as they have phone devices to let you know when they have room. There was a ramp off to the left of the door, you enter through a large barrel (really neat!), and seating was fairly easy.
Great food, fast service, incredible staff, and a good bang for your buck😊 would definitely go again if we are in the area!

They hit every mark from food to service, and even pet availability. Friendly fast service. A unique environment that was mediocre cleanliness. The food was decent to good, judged over 6 different entrees.
The problem? It was the worst value I’ve paid for in a sit-down restaurant in a long time. To sum it up, three of us had burgers without ordering an a la carte side, just a burger(no chips or fries included) Three had meals that included a side. No drinks ordered but just water. No dessert or appetizers.
$115 before tip. We were traveling and I’d read reviews to choose to stop here, but I definitely left feeling cheated.

I got the Georgia Mule, which was great! I got the brisket sandwich with honey bourbon sauce because that was the recommendation. I'd like to try the other sauce options, but mine wasn't bad. I loved the brisket and the pretzel bun but I don't think it was my favorite sandwich. I still ate it all! Fries were phenomenal, I had waffle and I tried my fiances beer batter. He loved his 1/2 lb burger. Would definitely recommend stopping by! Service was quick!

**Update** we went there again yesterday. I'm not happy that they no longer offer sides with their meals. They used to offer kettle chips, and you could pay a little more if you wanted to substitute fries or potato salad. Now all you get is the sandwich for the same price. Kettle chips probably cost them next to nothing. Now you have to pay extra to buy a side if you want more than just a sandwich. Just another way to get more money from customers. Frustrating.

Overall, it's a consistently good experience every time I visit. The Smokehouse BBQ could use quite a bit more meat (mostly bun), and they did forget to bring out the soup for my wife's order. Otherwise, the food was hot, and the staff were friendly as expected. It was busy with slower wait times, but that’s to be expected at a popular spot.

We had a party of 9 for Saturday night, got there at 8:15. 3 of us ordered hot chocolate(watery-no flavor) Prime rib was cold and tasted like road kill(dry no flavor) only 2 people who had ribs which they said were good. Baked potatoes were cold, butter would not even melt, to name a few. Will never go back
