If you haven’t been to Hog Cabin Bar-B-Que, it is absolutely worth the drive! The food here is nothing short of extraordinary every bite is packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. Their BBQ ribs are tender, smoky, and fall-off-the-bone delicious, while the French onion soup is rich, cheesy, and easily one of the best I’ve ever had.

The portions are generous, the presentation is inviting, and the quality is unmatched. On top of that, the owner is incredibly friendly and down-to-earth, which makes the whole experience even more welcoming.

If you’re looking for food that goes beyond amazing let’s call it unforgettable this is the place. Hog Cabin Bar-B-Que has definitely earned a spot as a must-visit destination for anyone who loves great food and warm hospitality.

My husband and I have been here multiple times when in the area and it never disappoints. The bar is well stocked and they serve reasonably priced drinks.
The service here is excellent; everyone is friendly, special shout out to Dakota! You know the owner really values his customers as he's always helping out and makes certain you're pleased with the visit, sometimes even let's customers weigh in on new recipes.
Our favorite order had been the ribs and pulled pork, then today we added wings to that list, but honestly everything we've had has been great. Be sure to try the BBQ sauces because they're fantastic!
Looking forward to our next visit!

Always thoroughly enjoy our meal while dining at the Hog Cabin BBQ. The dining room is always clean and is quite spacious. The service is good, but the food is delicious! The owner, Dan, always goes out of his way to make sure we are satisfied with our meal and has even made us special requests. He smokes his own meat, grinds his own brisket hamburger patties, makes most things homemade like the Mac n cheese and barbecue sauces and even makes the mozzarella sticks from scratch. Definitely worth the drive if you enjoy smoked meats. Don’t forget to try the ribs!! Oh and the brisket!!!

The food is fantastic. I never had any of the desserts because I am always so full from all the fantastic meats and sides. Chili and the ribs are very high on my list every time. I always have such issues deciding what to get. We like to joke with the owner that someday he will forget himself and give us his secret chili recipe 😁

If you haven't been back to this restaurant since it has been under new management you are missing out on a great local eatery and bar. You can definitely tell there is a lot of passion and inspiration that goes into each dish. I had one of the specials of the day and the Italian pork sausage and roast beef sandwich came with a dipping sauce that was packed with immense flavors. Drinks were also affordable and well made. We will definitely be back for wings next Wednesday. This new business deserves to be shared and talked about in our community and doesn't deserve the bad reputation of the last owners. Please give them a try again.

I had the pleasure of visiting Hog Cabin BBQ under its new ownership, and I couldn't be more impressed! The restaurant is spotless, the servers are friendly and attentive, and the prices are extremely reasonable, especially considering the generous portions.

I went for brunch and was blown away. The food was delicious, the portions were large, and the prices were more than fair. A special shout-out to their *Brisket & Gravy* — it’s absolutely one of a kind and unbelievably good!

If you're looking for an incredible meal, fantastic service, and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, Hog Cabin BBQis the place to go. I highly recommend it!

Great to have a nice BBQ so close. Food is great, owner is always in to greet and talk, and the atmosphere is comfortable. Brunch was a real surprise… brisket bagel was excellent, so there’s really no way you can go wrong with that combo! Hog Cabin is hidden gem here in Greenwood, WI.

So glad we stopped and we will definitely stop again. I always feel better when I walk into an establishment that I have never been to and the place is bright and clean! All the staff was so friendly. Our meal was excellent. We both had the ribs and they were some of the best I've had in a restaurant. The owner makes his own BBQ sauce that definitely made his ribs awesome. We chatted with the owner and it sounds like he is off to a good start only being in business for a year. Lots of homemade food which to me seems rare in the restaurant business these days. Thank you for the great service and excellent food! Wish I would have taken a picture!

A Must-Try Spot in Greenwood—Especially If You Haven’t Been in a While

I grew up in Clark County and have spent decades enjoying the local foods and restaurants in the area. We’re fortunate to have several great restaurants and bar-and-grills in this area, many of which I’ve supported and loved for years. That said—my recent visit to Hog Cabin Bar-B-Que completely blew me away. The smoked prime rib was phenomenal, with just the right touch of smoke without overpowering the cut. The brisket chili was rich and flavorful, and every side—from the baked mac and cheese to the BBQ beans and coleslaw—was homemade and seriously delicious.

Everything on the menu is made from scratch, and you can tell. Even their barbecue sauces (sweet and savory) are house-made. The savory sauce isn’t spicy despite the label—it’s just packed with depth and flavor. And the attention to detail in the way they smoke and season each meat—using different rubs for pork, beef, and chicken—is something you don’t often see around here.

When Hog Cabin first opened, I heard mixed reviews from folks I know in the area, and I totally understand where that hesitation came from. But they’ve clearly found their stride now. The food, the service, the whole experience—it’s on a new level. If you haven’t been back in a while, I truly recommend giving it another try.

It’s also just good to see this location—one with so much history—being thoughtfully cared for by people who truly take pride in the food they serve. Central Wisconsin’s food scene has a lot to offer, and Hog Cabin is now absolutely part of that conversation.

Easter buffet on 4/20/2025 was not worth $22.99 per Adult or $12.99 per child! EVERYTHING WAS COLD! None of us bothered to finish our plates and resorted to leaving early. Staff was notified but it was not rectified. 3rd experience, won't return.

Great experience ordering for the 1st time. We were highly impressed with the beef brisket sandwich! The bun to meat ratio was perfect, the smokey flavor of the brisket was delicious, and the sassy sauce was a perfect compliment to the meat. We really enjoyed the haddock fish fry hoagie as well. Can't wait to order again!

Had the pleasure of enjoying a Valentine's Eve meal here. This was our first time here with the new owners and we will 100% be back. Very clean, well decorated place with extremely friendly staff. Everyone seemed to be working as a team to make sure guests had a great experience. Our waitress, Holly, was absolutely phenomenal. She was attentive and friendly. She even checked with the owner and chef to make accomodations to my meal, which The meal was fantastic and we walked away full and happy. At the end of the meal the owner came and checked in with us, taking time to make sure we left happy. The whole experience was spectacular. Such a great addition to Central WI.

The service was over and beyond!! We were there with our kids and grandkidsthey were very busy, they explained that it would be a while before we received our order, we decided to stay, we were told if we ordered the ribs there wouldn’t be a wait, we didn’t, our food came faster than we thought, and it was delicious!! I was very nervous about being late for our reservation at 6. No need to be as we ate 2 1/2 hrs later & no apologies for being late and our waitress was inattentive, never let us know that you were running late, and PM me for the actual way she talked to me especially! And this wasn't because of any complaints from our table because we never said a word about any of this! I do want you to know your bartender was very friendly and competent.

First off, excellent staff. Attitude couldn't have been better. Beautiful establishment. This was my first time patronizing, and overall, our table enjoyed their food. We weren't WOWED, but talking with the owner, they are off to a wonderful start. A few tweaks here and there and it just might become a regular stop. I truly got the impression that they are striving to become a local staple and putting in the effort to do just that.

We will definitely return and try some other menu options... my opinion, if you have been there before and not 100% satisfied, GO AGAIN. It is abundantly clear that they really want to make every single customer walk away with higher than anticipated satisfaction. Keep going, they are definitely on the right track.

10/10 food. Everything hit the mark. Service was fabulous and food was top notch. Can’t wait to go there again. They catered to our children and included them in the meal. Very prompt with requests and provided great BBQ, sides and dessert. The portions were large & prices reasonable. Homemade sauces were both flavorful and complimented the meat. Very clean establishment. Everything is homemade. I actually started out with dessert which was a double layer homemade caramel cake. I forgot to take a pic but it was scrumptious. Baked beans were phenomenal. Going to be hard to eat beans out of a can after that! I had the pulled pork sandwich. Excellent smoky flavor. My son had chicken breast and I'm not a big fan of chicken but boy was that good! There was flavor throughout the meat and not just the outer layer. I can't wait to go back and try some other things on the menu. There is plenty to choose from and they also offer Sunday brunch.

I generally don't review restaurants but I decided to for this place. Honestly right now this is 3.5-4 star. With that said, it has great potential as they grow into their systems and processes.

Smokes their own Brisket, makes their own barbecue sauce. I enjoyed both. I look guarded to coming back in a month to see their full menu. There is something to be said for the places that do more than just heat up frozen food portions.

Not impressed with this restaurant. Aleged manager kept making excuses for the slow service, well if this is an issue then you need to stop chatting with guests and work where you are needed. 20m to get drinks after being seated, 45m for actual food to arrive in a room with only 5 seated tables are unacceptable. Salads were pre assembled, leave off the Croutons till served they were gross and mushy, apps served lukewarm with main course just plain time management issue. Walking past a group of 6 guests at least 6 times and completely ignoring them took the cake. Then only positive was the 9yr table busser....working circles around the adults who seemed to be working hard just not deployed to correct positions to cover the night.
