Its a very nice location to stop in for a snack or meal break. There are many large tables for groups and a nice off the main seating area.

I had a sedevacantist friend once. He came here and then came back to me complaining. "The Cafe is Vacant... The Cafe is Vacant." He was deeply distressed about it.
We came back here and the cafe was very much not vacant, but was well-staffed with friendly people and well-stocked with very delicious goods and drinks.
He has since repented of his sedevacantism.

I was very disappointed that this cafe had AI art on its walls; there's too many beautiful works of art by real artists to use this nonsense.

We probably stop in here every other visit and mainly for the kids' sake whenever they're feeling snacky or want ice cream.
The staff is friendly and prices are reasonable but I look at it as supporting the church which is always a good feeling.

I was Blest to be able to make a personal retreat for 3 days in September. The Indian peanut soup was amazing! I had a pecan scone and ended up buying 2 more because they were so delicious. Right balance of sweetness and tender texture. I returned several times for a large mocha which was again banned and yummy! Looking forward to returning for another retreat and enjoyable food served with kindness in a peaceful atmosphere.

It's not what it used to be. I always remember coming here after a holy hill visit and having home made pies and ice cream. It's a shadow of what it once was. You're basically eating in the entryway of the Cafe. The pies are long gone and the food selection has basically dwindled down to soup, premade sandwiches and light snacks.
There are other better options around this area to try after your visit. (Fox and Hounds, Copper Dock, Petries, Joe Mama's, Sawmill Inn, Sloppy Joe's- all great choices!).

sad sandwiches that are an affront to God. $12 for a moldy poorly cut sourdough mess thats been sitting in fridge for God knows how long. go elsewhere

Bad sandwich. Lit a candle in the church to mourn the loss of my appetite.

The cafe at Holy Hill is not implying fine dining, but it is a decant little coffee shop and very convenient. Minimally staffed, almost thought they were closed or had become self service.

Returning from Holy Hill with my group from Holy Family Parish in Lincoln IL. Had the a delish ,gourmet type lunch. We had ordered ahead and everything was ready when we got there!
They were very friendly and accommodating. One of our ladies who doesn’t care for pumpkin cake(I know, who doesn’t like that!) was brought a wonderful chocolate and cherry delight!
Highly recommend eating there if you visit Holy Hill.

Needs updating and atmosphere. And a better menu. Not really a cafe to go to...just a convenience in a pinch.

Nice and cozy inside. It passed the lunch time so we had hot chocolate and cappuccino from the vending machine. It was affordable and nice to have hot drinks to hike around in the cold weather. It will be nice to try a meal with friends and family.

Good people and good food, even though the Knight of Columbus dogs, brats and burgers were the current fare due to a sudden unexpected management change. I expect things will back to normal in the very near future.

I was sad to jear theu will no longer serve hot foods or sandwiches. Only snacks and beverages until they decide the future. Maybe there's a way to offer input.

Really great food, friendly service. Wide variety of 🍺. Loud, LOUD motorcycle traffic makes outside dining difficult.

The food is good, good prices, great service. Would have been a perfect visit, except for what looked like mold in our fountain drinks. The staff were helpful and apologetic.

Although the hours are a little inconvenient to recommend someone visiting to go. I think this place is really great not only for the church, but even on its own. They have tons of options for food and the servers are all really nice! It's a quiet comfy place to enjoy a weekend brunch!

I've known about this cafe for decades, but first used it just recently. I was in the area doing photo shoots, and a lunch time hunger set in.
Being in the middle of a rural area, I decided to go in and try the cafe. I'm glad I did.
I have no complaints about the food, the service, the building or the area. In fact, this will be a regular stop for me in the future.
I highly recommend this cafe to everyone. While you're here, you must see the rest of the buildings and grounds. This whole area is a must see.
This cafe is located just below the church.
