Absolute top tier shrimp fried rice. Every time I go past Jackson I HAVE to stop here to get a large shrimp fried rice, which is the real deal with perfectly seared rice, bean sprouts, green onions, eggs...everything that's supposed to be there and cooked masterfully. Not all fried rice is the same, this is the real stuff with wok hei, not the fake steamed stuff with peas and carrots that other places sell as "fried rice". The lady who runs the place is so nice as well. Easy five stars.

Been eating here for years and it has always been great food for a great price! When you call in a order they can be a little hard to understand, but I am sure that goes both ways. I always clarify the order and it has never been wrong. This place is truly a local jem! Everything I have ordered here has been great! Not fatty or greasey, never disappointed. A must try if you like Asian food. They will be closed from March 11 thru April 5th

The WORST sesame chicken I have EVER had. The chicken was slimy and had the coloring of Swedish meatballs, far from what sesame chicken should look like. And to make the whole situation worse, there was a black curly hair found in the box (no one present has black nor curly hair). The crab rangoon was undercooked and extremely disappointing. DO NOT waste your time or money ordering from here.

So I love the place but everytime I go they mess up my boyfriends part of the order, so it's a very one sided love for us. I don't get how though, he gets beef lo mein I get chicken lo mein and somehow his entire entree has LITERALLY no noodles, but mine is perfect? I keep wondering if we ordered wrong but I double checked this time :/

Very good!!!!! We now like this place better then that other place in town that reduced the sizes of (everything)!! Hot’ n sour soup was spicy!!!! 😋 yum!!! Really opened up the sinuses!!! vegetables were SUPER fresh!!! Wife liked the chicken. The fried dumplings could use a lot less dough!!! But overall awesome!!! Tons of leftovers!!!! We thoroughly enjoyed our first meal from Hong Kong Express. Our experience was nothing like those described in the negatives reviews. The Shrimp Egg Rolls were probably the best I've ever had. The Hunan Shrimp was tasty with perfectly prepared vegetables. Highly recommend and we'll be returning for more great Chinese food in the near future!

Very happy with our first experience ordering takeout from Hong Kong Express on Main Street in Jackson! We ordered Hunan Shrimp and Hunan Beef and Cashew Chicken, plus egg rolls. This has got to be the most disgusting sweet and sour chicken, pork and shrimp I have EVER eaten.. not only was there so much breading on it the inside breading was pasty.. not to mention the shrimp stew so small you could barely find them. The chicken had the stuff on it that you get when you boil it and the beef had the blood deep fried into the batter .. I'm not only disgusted, I'm disappointed .. I had to get a min of 20 for delivery even though I am less than 2 miles from them.. I also wasted it because imost of it is not edible.... I wish I could add a picture! Yuck!

If I could give half a star I would consider it. First time ordering from here, kung pow chicken was slimy, even though it was still spicy, it had no flavor. The combo chow mein sauce was also bad and it Only had shrimp(no pork or chicken) in it that smelled very fishy and was probabably bad. Also the pan fried noodles that came with the chow mein were brunt. So very disappointed and will not be ordering from here again or recomending it to anyone.

Horrible... first the order was late, understandable though as they said they were busy. Second, forgot an appetizer but they ran it back out after a 2nd phone call. Then we noticed that one of the dishes that was supposed to be meatless had beef in it. A 3rd call ensued, I was then told it was mushroom not beef. I can obviously tell the difference between the two, besides there was also mushrooms in it. Not paying attention to special orders and ultimately lying to the customer is inexcusable, what if someone was allergic! Never going back and I would be wary of ANY order from Hong Kong Express, Chinatown is much much better anyway.

I ordered sweet and sour shrimp. There were supposed to be five jumbo shrimp in this dish. There was exactly one small shrimp. The rest of the deep fried balls contained a ball of gooey flour. After I discovered the first ball of goo I dissected the rest and found one small shrimp. Totally not edible. Beware!!

I normally don’t write bad reviews just because I’m in the customer service business and I know how that works but by golly this is the Worst Chinese food I have ever had, I’ve had a lot of Chinese food in my life and by far this is the worst.
The Mongolian beef smells like cow poop, The chicken was way under cooked and the eggrolls smelled rotten.
I called up to let them know what happened they offered me a 10% discount on my next order I probably won’t be using that discount. Steer clear.

This is the second time (and the last) we ordered from here. The first time I got very sick. This time we received the wrong order. When we called they offered us 10% off our next order. The food was very bland, and when my husband began eating we found HAIR in the meal. We just threw it all away and re-ordered our dinner from another Chinese restaurant - a very expensive lesson learned. I would definitely NOT recommend this place.
