We found a hidden gem and definitely will be back! The service was very friendly and attentive. Spinach artichoke appetizer was amazing! My chicken florentine was tasty and my husband is still talking about the Cajun shrimp pasta the next day. Large portions provided leftovers for us to enjoy a second meal.
4 stars for the atmosphere only because the name 1930 suggested to us that the interior would be reflective of that history of Crandon. But dont let the plain interior fool you. Everything else is great! We will be recommending this to our lakehouse guests and plan to be back ourselves!

5/13/22Prime is awsome. Birthday dinner!
Update 8/18/23. Again, after a 12 hour trip to get there for my moms birthday i said lets go back since on my day it was so good. Well, this time didn't yeild the same results. We asked about the NY strip, and my son went with it. It showed up as a fillet. Moms steak'um and fries, she said waa better than it looked. My 16 oz looked perfect, a medium and change was disappointing, and i had to add salt and lots of it to be honest. I would have put steak sauce on it next, beans were good, mac was good, pretzal was good. As a cook and restaurant owner i know things happen. But dont leave people with no drinks, dont let somebody not vested in table do order while a waitress gets smaller tip. And at 150 bucks on a Friday night, i went away disgusted and feeling like the argumentative young lady, only one drink, wrong food, lack of seasoning, nope i worked to hard and drove to far to be this unhappy about a special day. Probably wont happen again. To bad the first time was so good.

To be honest, the wait for your order isn't a good experience. The wait staff is courteous and always attentive but it's hard to understand why we've had to wait so long for our orders. Lunch or dinner, wasn't busy ... No wait to be seated. No large groups to add rationale to the wait time for orders to the table. We came in along side a group that went to the bar and had cocktails and conversation for quite some time. When they came to the dining room to eat... we had not yet gotten our order , almost an hour later. They ASKED us if we had eaten yet and how it was. We had to tell them that we hadn't gotten our orders yet. They literally left for faster food options for their group. The Chicken Marsala I waited so long for was lacking in flavor and the quantity without a side salad or soup offered with it was quite expensive and disappointing . Not something I'll order again. I do hope they chose to employ more help, back of house, to remedy those wait times. FYI, this establishment has no wheelchair accessible restroom nor suitable entry for any persons in a wheelchairs .
This may limit your family's gathering choices for local dining.

Simple supper club in Crandon, WI. Let's start with the positives. Had a Friday Fish Fry, love my fish fries. Perch was exceptional. 6 large pieces, so more than I needed, AUCE not required. Slight sweetness to the breading, breading held on to the fish, couldn't recommend more. Fries were thin cut, fresh, and tasty. Pretty standard but good. Had other options, I've potato pancakes but I was happy. Big winner? I chose the soup, clam chowder, and was the best I've had in WI. A lot of clams, potato's, and a flavorful, creamy sauce. Meal was really, really good. Service, exceptional as well.

The restaurant is a little dated but it's north central WI, so who cares. I recommend.

The name of this restaurant promises a charming interior that hails back to the building's beginnings. Unfortunately, it is rather cafeteria like in appearance with plain square tables and padded metal chairs. The food was okay but unremarkable. An order of chicken marsala proved to have pre-sliced, white button mushrooms and a vary bland sauce. The cast iron chicken appeared to be on a bed of instant stuffing made slightly more interesting with some chorizo.
We took a chance when returning from the waterfall tour in Marinette County but won't stop again.

This was my second visit, and the second time I had their salad bar. It was very good! This restaurant/bar is located in the old Crandon Hotel, and it has been fixed up nice. I came with a group of 8 adults and one child, and everyone found something to eat that they liked. The lady running this place was nice and was very attentive to our group. I will return to eat here again!

This is the best little "Gem" for breakfast or dinner in Crandon by far!. We celebrated 2 birthdays last night, one for my wife, and one for my good friend who is a chef. Our food was so good we went back for breakfast the next morning! Our friend, a chef from green bay, remarked " this is the best pork chop I ever had". Service was friendly, fast, and our server repeated back all items ordered to ensure it was correct. THANK YOU CAROLYN, STEVE AND TRISH, for making our evening so wonderful! We will be making Jamisons 1930 a regular stop on our trips to the northwoods!
PS. Order Jamison orange old fashioned, muddled perfectly!

FANTASTIC! Carolyn, our server, was excellent! We both had the fish fry, my wife had onion rings and salad. I had fries and salad. Everything was very tasty, the onion rings were delicious, and the fish was some of the best fish we've had anywhere! The dining area wasn't as good as the rest of the experience, but it did show some of the original character of the building. It looked as though it could use some updating. The being said, we wouldn't hesitate to stop again if we are in the area!

Hands down the best restaurant in Crandon! You can't find a place that tries so hard to make everything from scratch. They work with Medow Farms which is local and the best burger or steaks you can find. I've never had a prime rib so flavorful and tender. I keep coming back to try all the menu and I just can't pick one entree that stands out above another because all of it was an amazing experience. And that Jameson old fashioned really you can't find anyone in Wisconsin that can make a better old fashioned!

I think they cut off a couple of 3/8’” thick pieces of leftover prime rib and fried it then served it to us as 8 oz “ribeye” steak. That or they actually cut one ribeye steak in half to make two orders…And then griddle fried that.

We had ordered Rare to medium rare and it was absolutely cooked leather through.

The substitution suspicion is born worn out by the fact that they were out of every other steak.

It would’ve been better if they just said they were out of steak and we could’ve ordered something else vs being cheated.

Really good waitstaff and nice salad bar but what the kitchen sent out and charged 20 bucks a plate for was a shame…if not a sham. No offer was made to replace the meals after we pointed out the obvious.

Salad bar saved it from a one star rating.

We are in town for the weekend and were looking to grab a quick takeout pizza. After a google search, it appeared that this place was well regarded and should meet our needs. We picked up the pizza and brought it back to our little lake cabin.

This was honestly the worst pizza I have ordered in recent memory. All toppings were canned, the sauce tasted like Prego, the crust looked pre-bought, and it was undercooked. All this and we were charged a whopping $23 for a large.

I can’t speak to any of the other food here, but I would avoid the pizza — it isn’t worth it. In fact, it was pretty awful.
