The real deal. Had the Waygu beef tacos and it was easily one of the top 10 dishes I have had. Prices are reasonable as well. Service was excellent and the beer was cold!

I sat at the bar and got to watch every dish come out of the kitchen and everything looked top notch.

My only complaint would be that I only got two tacos with my order but they were stuffed with beef and salsa and also very reasonably priced and that I forgot to take a picture of my food to post with my review. This place is SMALL but the food was awesome. A true hole in the wall with great food and service, can't wait to get back.

Very disappointing experience. This restaurant had only one server and a new trainee, so the service was very slow and inattentive. What made it even more frustrating was that when we got the bill, there was a 20% “gratuity” charge. We were only two people, did not receive any special service, and there was no visible notice indicating a 20% charge would be applied. Overall, the service experience was terrible, and I would not recommend coming here.

Really interesting place in all respects. Three of us visited for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it. Two got different pizzas and polished them off (and they aren’t usually big eaters either) and one got the vegan take on a lobster roll. All was very, very good. This is an eco-friendly restaurant with many vegan and vegetarian options. It has a cozy all green decor that would make you want to pop in if you peeked inside while walking by. While I wasn't into the sardine app, I liked my Lions mane lobster roll and the Peruvian chicken wings were really good. My kid liked the cheese pizza and then we put the green sauce on the extra pizza she couldn't finish. There is a charge for a takeout container so bring your own! This restaurant is small so a group of 6 or more would have a hard time getting a table.

The white garlic olive oil pizza was absolutely delicious — the flavor was spot on and the crust had the perfect crunch! I do think it would’ve been even better with a little less spinach on top, but overall, it hit the mark. Salads were fresh and well-balanced, and the drink options were surprisingly great — creative and refreshing.

Just a heads-up: if you’re visiting on a hot day, indoor seating is very limited — maybe space for 10 to 15 people max. Most seating is outdoors, so plan accordingly. Still, it’s a great spot with a solid menu and quality food. Definitely worth checking out!

Last weekend, I went with my family to the place and unfortunately we experienced discrimination by not accepting babies (my son is 9 months old) inside the place (even having tables available) they told us that if we wanted to use outside, but the heat and humidity were unbearable. I don't often review my good experiences, but this one was exceptional. What drew me was the menu, and the restaurants advertising of clean and whole ingredients. I have a lot of food restrictions, and the owner came out and talked to me about how she could accommodate my needs with certain menu items. She was so nice and happy to help. As one of the 7 people who were declined service tonight, I am very disappointed in the inconsistent communication of this establishment. We called ahead knowing that having a group of seven may be a complication for some establishments. On the phone, we were assured by the staff member that they would seat us in two separate groups (serving 4 on one tab and 3 on the other). When we arrived at the establishment we shared that we called in and would like to have dinner. One of the staff behind the counter told us that their limit per table was 6, stating “I will not seat parties over six”. We confirmed that we had been told that over the phone, and also were directly told that we would be served seperately. When we addressed that option, we were sternly denied service. As someone who is visiting Geneva for my bachelorette weekend, and as someone who has a severe dairy allergy, we scoured google looking for an establishment that could accommodate my allergies. We thought that this would be a good option based on the menu online, and I was hurt and upset that we were refused all options for seating when finding a restaurant that I can comfortably find allergy-accommodating spaces is difficult. If the maximum limit to people walking through the door was six, and the staff is aware of policies, we should have been made aware of that when we explicitly called ahead of time. I am appalled at the lack of service delivered. I hope the food is good, but I cannot in good faith recommend an establishment that turns away people when the entire inside of the restaurant was empty, doesn't accept criticism well and adapt based on feedback, and is disrespectful to customers or people interested in eating at this establishment without due case.

My party was looking for a place that had good vibes and an Allergen-friendly menu. We thought that House of Bogini would be the perfect choice and we even called ahead to see if they could accommodate a group of 7! Whoever answered the phone said they only do parties of 6 and asked if we would be okay with splitting the party (we were totally fine with this situation). Upon arrival, we were told by a different staff member that they would not serve us as a party of seven OR split into two groups with different tabs,
thus completely refusing service. The indoor seating was completely empty, and we were willing to wait as well. As someone who has worked in food service for a long time, it was obvious we were turned away because they thought the tip wouldn't be worth it.

I am delighted to report that after a similar call to Magpie's we were seated immediately and given wonderful service! I would recommend that the owners of this establishment fix this communication error and work with the staff on effective customer service.

I am not one to post negative reviews and I apologize sincerely for saying it was potentially the owner and you will see that I have removed that portion above to correct the record. I support small businesses. As someone who has worked for 10 years in food service and has worked at small businesses for 7, I know good customer service when I see it. I will stick with my 1 star review as I belive that this policy need to be communicated properly between both workers and potential customers (I do not blame the girl who answered the phone). Visiting Lake Geneva with friends. Came across House Of Bogini and loved their menu, especially since they were allergen friendly. Because we had a group of 7, I called ahead to check reservations. The waitress/hostess stated they could not seat parties over 6 together, but could accommodate by splitting the party into a table of 4 and a table of 3. When we arrived we were immediately denied service by the owner. I stated that I called ahead and the waitress/hostess I spoke to informed the owner that she did tell me they could accommodate. Mind you, the inside of the restaurant was empty and the outside seating had maybe 2-3 couples dining. We were incredibly disappointed and the owner was rude. No apologies for the miscommunication or anything. We went to Magpies instead and were seated immediately with excellent service. I do not recommend House of Bogini at all. Not only do they need to get all their staff on the same page, but the owner could brush up on her hospitality.

We had been looking for a nice place to have dinner and called this place to make sure they would be able to take us. We were totally alright with that, flash forward some hours later and we get there and the lady who we talked to refused service to us. The only downsides I’ve experienced are
1. It smells really bad, like patchouli. I know everything is fresh and my apartment used to smell like this when I was vegan.. but I think an air purifier would be a good idea

2. The service has been pretty slow both times I’ve been here. I think the girls were training and were super nice. But we were sat down and greeted without ever getting actual service for like 15-20 minutes

Great little place in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. I have been here twice so far, and both times the food has been perfect. I got the portobello mushroom wrap, and a side salad this time. Good amount of food for the price. They have a lot of healthy/vegetarian options here, so if you're trying to eat healthier, this is the place to go. It is a bit small on the inside, so I recommend getting here early, they do have some bar seating as well, and a lot of drink options. As this is in Lake Geneva, don't forget to pay for parking. There is paid street parking options, as well as a paid lot a few steps away from the restaurant.

While I'm not used to restaurants that offer so many in-house, organic, or vegan options I was pleasantly surprised! Everything tasted good and I got to try new things out of my comfort zone. The sea lemonade was my favorite drink although by the end the concoction at the bottom became particularly tangy.

Where do I begin?! Going to a new restaurant is always a risk, but I took the plunge when in town from business.

The food was incredible, the staff was AMAZINGLY friendly and I was initially skeptical of the live music in the small location, however, the artists were WONDERFUL! The vibe was perfect.

I would 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone!

After reading the many reviews I was so excited to try House of Bogini. It did NOT disappoint. The atmosphere is exactly what I was hoping for. The food was some of the best I have ever had! We had the Phish tacos and Margarita pizza. We will definitely be making House of Bogini a regular stop and plan to try everything on the menu. They take their time preparing your food and it shows! So glad we tried this amazing restaurant.

Very nice deco and delicious food We ordered Wagyu beef taco with chips and Peruvian wing and salad. Food taste fresh and delicious. My husband didn't think he will finish his taco dish, he ended up eat it all and jokingly said he can has another dish to go. The place is very nicely decorated. Cozy, intimate, with nice touches - cute menu, walls covered in greenery. The only problem is... Food. It looks great on the menu, but is very disappointing on the plate. It seems to be assembled rather than cooked. Practically everything tasted store-bought: chips (blue corn and sweet potatoes) straight from bags, salsa from a jar, etc. Fish tacos and fish sliders shared the same breaded squares of fish that tasted like it came from a freezer of a local discount store. This restaurant has a great potential, but it needs real food to match its good looks.

Edit: sorry, I mentioned FISH tacos, the menu lists them as PHISH tacos, so perhaps they are supposed to imitate the real thing, my apologies.

Very cool place slightly hidden on the street. Beautiful colors and unique decor. Loved the dark Green everywhere. Gives a very Chicago bistro kind of vibe. It is smaller than expected, and it was fairly quiet. My hubs and I felt a little weird at times being able to hear everyone’s conversation in clear detail. But the music that was playing was spectacular. Bob Dylan, Grateful Dead, etc… the prices were very good and the food was excellent. Truly a great dining experience. The phish tacos were great, so was the pear and Gorgonzola salad. We liked everything. Thank you for the great service and great food on my birthday! Super cool place, we look forward to going back.

Had an amazing lunch at House of Bogini today... the vegan lobster roll was so delicious as was my drink! This is such a cute little place and it was not too loud so my friend and I could actually carry on a conversation, which is hard to do at some of the other restaurants in town. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try, especially if you're looking for vegan options (they also have non-vegan food as well). By far the best place we’ve been to in Lake Geneva & can’t wait to go back! The server was such a sweet girl and very attentive to everyone in the restaurant.
My fiance likes pretty plain food but I’m all about flavor and dips/sauces. I showed him their menu (after searching restaurants the past two days and always returning to The House of Bogini’s menu) and he said he’d figure out something to try. I ended up getting the Peruvian chicken wings and Mediterranean salad, he got the wagyu street tacos. The portions were perfect for a meal and we felt full but still comfortable enough to go grab dessert down the street after. I had zero complaints with my meal- my fiance did wish the salsa that came with his tasted more homemade.
I’d love to see this place grow in size as it is small and I feel like people may pass it up if they think it’s too crowded. We also guessed how much our bill would be before it came and we were both off by about $30- way more affordable than some of the other meals we’ve had staying in Lake Geneva. Will definitely be returning next time we’re in town!

My new favorite spot in lake Geneva! So happy we found this place and even though it is small they accommodated three adults, two kids and an infant. Food is a great price for good quality food on the healthier side which I LOVED. If you’re looking for American size portions with lots of grease, this isn’t it you might want to go to McDonald’s instead ;) I think she was the owner…. and she was extremely friendly as well as the bartender/ server we had. 2 small tacos and a hand full of chips with store bought salsa and chips for $15. It wasn’t even good store bought salsa, tasted like Pace brand. Their Facebook says they offer scratch made foods from European ingredients. Im happy to pay for an expensive high end meal if it’s delicious and you can taste how fresh it is. If you are going to overcharge, and not fulfill your own description, at least give me enough so I don’t need to supplement the meal. Such a waste of money.

**edit** since posting my review, I have used the filter to look at the other negative reviews because the food was so bizarrely mediocre for such a cute looking place. I’m not the only one who can taste the issue with the chips and salsa. I’ve worked in many high end restaurants and this was poor quality at best. I see the owner gets defensive at the other negative reviews and I’m going to get ahead of this by saying that if you have to explain to people how high quality your food is because they can’t taste it, it’s because your food isn’t that good, or you are not handling it well.

I had really high hopes based on the menu, but the food fell short for us unfortunately.
With the exception of the delicious golden milk, everything else was lackluster for us.

The tamales were good, but the chips and salsa it came with tasted like store-bought products. The salad ingredients were super fresh, which we appreciated, but the dressing was too salty and not much other flavor, so it was hard to enjoy.

I really appreciate the intentions, the ambience and the kind staff, but we are not itching to go back by any means. Maybe we’d like other dishes on the menu better.
