Just order the sushi don’t get any of the Appetizers. They were disappointing and pricey for what u get. The sushi was good. The fish fresh and fun combination rolls. But the sushi rice was flavorless and a bit dry. I recommend trying that salmon skin roll. That was good. The mackarel sashimi was nice.

I am a doordash driver, and haven't actually eaten there. But I absolutely love stopping in there to pick up orders. The lady that runs the place is one of the friendliest people. She takes time to get to know her customers and the questions she asks when customers walk in the door, tells you that she knows them and genuinely cares. if you're not a sushi person, you should definitely stop in, just to experience the atmosphere. Absolutely delicious!!! What a hidden gem. We are not from the area and took a chance here and I’m glad we did. One other two top was there around 2:30pm on a Saturday. I highly recommend the Hartford roll, it was my favorite and so unique with its Smokey flavor. Everything came super quick and was a perfect experience. Although hidden in a strip of stores and bland exterior, the inside was cozy and decorated beautifully.

We eat sushi often and are new to the area, so we were really looking forward to eating here. Absolutely shocked by the prices. 8 oz coke was 4$, house salad 4$, and it had 5 small pieces of lettuce, a tomato slice, and a cucumber slice. We dont mind paying, but these prices lacked value. The sushi was mooshy and warm for the prices. 1 piece is $3.5. Very gross. We were disappointed and broke when we left.

I was looking forward to trying this restaurant and was craving sushi unfortunately I was beyond disappointed. The server got orders wrong multiple times. The roll lacked flavor. The sushi didn’t seem as fresh as it could’ve been. The beef teriyaki (which was supposed to be chicken) was over cooked and not fresh. The rice seemed overly cooked and mushy. Server was not very friendly. Overall, not a great experience. $100 wasted on poor quality food. I definitely do not recommend and would not return. Highly disappointed!!

Ordered a takeout, sushi was bad. Rice tasted old ike it had been sitting for sometime. We've had sushi here before and it was really good back then but now they just keep getting worse and worse. We ended up throwing them away, $60 down the drain. Will probably not be returning, there are definitely way better sushi places out there.

Edit: since I can't respond back, I'm just going to type it here. Yes the name is under Austin, and we ordered the food on Saturday, wrote the review on Sunday. We decided to have Ichiban for the first time for My birthday dinner you got the shrimp tempura roll the New York roll the futo Maki roll, calamari, and chicken fried rice. The shrimp tempura and new York rolls were awesome salmon was really good on the new York roll (5/5). The Futo Maki was good nothing that blew us away (4/5). The chicken fried rice was good but probably could be better with a little more chicken and veggies (4/5). The Calamari was great as well and came a nice sauce with a little kick (5/5).

Also they sent home a piece of deep fried ice cream which was pretty good! I'm not much into sweets but i'd give it a 4/5.

Overall great place and we'll definitely be ordering again.

A delightful experience! My wife and I had been hiking at Pike Lake and were looking for something light and refreshing. We were delighted to find sushi was available nearby! We were a bit skeptical about sushi in a rural setting but the results were excellent! Ichiban's did a great job.

We ordered carryout over the internet. Our food was ready when we arrived and the checkout person was very courteous.

Went here because we moved to Hartford and wanted to try something close to home. It is what you would expect from small town sushi. Our appetizer was the tempura vegetable. We found the tempura lacking a crisp crunch and only one of some vegetables. We were hoping for at least two of eat so we could share. Not worth the $7 tag. The basic rolls were pretty good and fairly priced at around $5-6 but as the price goes up, so does the presentation but unfortunately not the taste. We got the Godzilla roll which was pretty good but we felt a little bland besides the sauce and then a special roll which was $4 more but didn’t taste any different. With the specialty rolls at $14+ dollars it just isn’t worth it. We will probably back to try some other options but I think we will only get the basic rolls in the future.

Our waitress was very nice and we had no wait when we came in at 5pm on Valentine’s Day.
