Love Il Mito! Hidden gem in Delafield. Delicious Lasagna, linguine portofino is outstanding, mild sauce plenty of mussels, shrimp, calamari and scallops. Deserts are excellent also. Tell your friends you won't regret it!! Ceasars salad is great too!

Beautiful evening to dine outside. Food was very tasty but my ravioli was only 4 pillows and a few crumpled walnuts for $18. Seemed expensive for the portion size.

This cute little restaurant was within walking minutes of out hotel. We came at around 5pm on Saturday and it wasn't busy. Made it more cozy. Appetizer was the stuffed mushrooms. What i received was not what i was expected but the best stuffed mushrooms I've ever had.
Ordered the ravioli and I was shocked to only receive 4. It was beautifully complemented with chicken and spinach. I assure you I did not leave hungry, it was the perfect portion and delicious.
Dessert was smooth and perfectly sweet. Too many restaurants add way to much to the dishes like caramel and chocolate. They used berries for a perfect touch. It was perfect end to wonderful night of food.
Only thing that made my evening damp was the waiter. He was pleasant and efficient. But he spent very long amounts of time with other tables and very attentive to their needs. I wish I would've been able to hear more about the desserts and foods like the other tables did. Again, he was not a bad waiter, I just wished I would've gotten the same 5 start experience he gave the other tables. I would definitely come here again!

Wife and I wanted to take the kids to experience a nice dinner. Not Olive Garden, not Chili's, not Applebee's. But a place that exhibited ambiance, a menu to explore and new experiences. The 2 kids (12 and 17) had never been here before but we had. Our time was EXCELLENT. We made them try our favorite appetizer (the risotto balls). The server is always so kind and attentive and really gives authenticity to the experience. Fresh bread and olive oil. My wife had the mushroom tortellini, my daughter and I had the lasagna (the best I have ever had) and my son went with one of their pizzas. We finished by sharing a Creme Brûlée (again, our children are not adventurous but they all tried and loved it). This will be one of our very top "Go To" places. Grateful they are there.

Went there for happy hour on a Monday evening. The place is absolutely charming & inviting & beautifully decorated. Our server is the owners brother-in-law & shared the history of the restaurant. The service was impeccable, the red wine blend was DELICIOUS & we’re very fussy wine drinkers. The egg plant appetizer, the bruschetta, the shrimp salad & chocolate cake are also outstanding! Highly recommend! We will be making this our happy hour meeting place.

"It's not about how much time you spend together, but the quality of the moments you share." Our first time dining here was absolutely amazing, from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Their stuffed mushrooms and lamb dish was tasty and juicy. Calimari was absolutely delightful. Professional service and high quality food and drinks. I highly recommend IL Mito Cafe, you won’t be disappointed!.

Yum! My friend recommended this place and based on the reviews and pictures I was excited to try! We had made a reservation, though when we arrived around 5:30 on a Saturday night, there were a good amount of tables available. By time we left there was a line at the door.

The restaurant is intimate feeling and the low light created the perfect cozy feeling. There are good variety of table sizes for all types of groups, and outdoor seating for those warmer days and nights.

Looking around as we were deciding on what to order, everything that was being delivered to tables around us, looked delicious! I ordered the Tortelloni Della campagna, an amazing mushroom filled pasta dish. Everything was so good and the perfect serving size. There are plenty of options of wine to go with your pasta dish. I am excited to come back and try more!

Enjoyed a fabulous dinner with our family and friends last night. It was a Tuesday evening, so very quiet and relaxing. We took advantage of the three courses for $33 special, and everyone loved their meals! The food is so tasty and our server was prompt and friendly. The lasagna is a special treat, so different from your regular dish.

Ordered takeout for our family. 2 pasta dishes, 2 pizzas, salad, 2 appetizers.

Everything was delicious!

I particularly recommend the bolognese, beet salad, and mushroom appetizer. The shrimp linguine was also delish.

This is one of the few good restaurants open on Mondays in the area too. Definitely worth an order.

We had a nice dinner here. The patio was wonderful on a summer evening. We had a reservation for Friday night, but I think we could have walked in without a wait as a party of 2.

Service was good. Water was refilled and the wait staff asked if we needed refills on our other beverages. They were very accommodating as we took a little extra time reviewing the menu. They also seamlessly split a salad we decided to share.

The food was decent, but not as well executed as I would like. The table bread were quartered ciabatta with a garlic infused olive oil. It was delicious, but not for the faint of heart. The short rib was tasty, but a little dry. The osso buco was decent but dry. Both of those dishes should be braised for maximum flavor, tenderness and moisture. I felt like both dishes were probably roasted and then finished with their respective sauces. I could be wrong, but it didn’t seem like the flavor had penetrated past the surface. The risotto side was unexceptional, but the mashed potatoes were good.

Overall, I think this was a 3.5 experience for me. The pricing was fair for downtown Delafield in my opinion…$85 for two drinks, a salad and two entrees…plus tip.

We walked in with three kids under six. We received the MOST warm welcome by Bruno. He cared to know every child’s name and gave them a personalized experience. Above all the food was phenomenal. Amazing food and service. Can’t beat this. We live an hour away and would drive back just to have the experience again. It’s not often you can wine and dine with toddlers and tonight we really enjoyed ourselves.

Came here for our date night. First the gluten free options are numerous. Second only needed to mention the word gluten free once and our waiter was in the ball. Brought out my own oil and gf bread for before our entree. It was so nice to finally have homemade Italian that had a gluten free option. (Handmade gf noodles I believe too)It was a quiet romantic night that we both throughout enjoyed. We'll be back

My wife and I had a good experience at IL Mito Cafe.Good service, good atmosphere, many great options on the menu. We had an Eggplant/tomato app, then a Caprese & Carpachio. Entrees were Short Rib & the Feckerized Lasagna. Both were good...BUT.... they were both very salty. Especially my Lasagna. :( I couldn't even finish it, because of that. Had they not been so salty it would have been a wonderful experience.

Ok. So cool inside and great service from heather(?) Food is good. My biggest issue was my beet salad. I wanted delicious beets. But they candied the beets and sooo much balsamic that was sugary as well. My hubs had the short ribs and inhaled it. He said so good. I also had Toscano pizza. Pretty good. Crust a little tough and more balsamic ( which I love but not enhanced with honey or sugar)

Fast service, great food. Great ambiance, though we came on an exveptionally nice night. Only gripe was that the decor was a bit haphazard and the bathroom fixtures could use an update. Authentic Italian options. The food was delicious & the staff was super friendly. We enjoyed the meaty Italian pizza, pumpkin ravioli (with shrimp), and tiramisu dessert ... however, the chocolate hazelnut torte was the best. Not impressed. We had so many wonderful experiences at America's we couldn't wait till..Il Mitchell opened. I so anticipated the same quality of food but was let down.I ordered the mushroom tortellini, the corner crunched on my first bite, pasta was tough. Sauce was nice and lite yet needed a bit more flavor. Other than that the service was professional and the wine, mmm.

I want to highlight the good things first: the outdoor seating is delightful, especially under the porch roof. The open windows make the inside fresh on a nice day. The service was good. This is dog friendly and the busser was kind enough to bring out two bowls of water unasked. The atmosphere is nice and not too loud for conversation. The shrimp salad was wonderful and the iced tea had a pleasant hibiscus flavor to it. The pricing is reasonable.
Now I need to address the items that didn't work out so well: The caesar salad dressing was more vinaigrette than caesar and while the presentation was beautiful the flavor did not wow me. The crusty bread slices are not worth mentioning.
I received an il Mito gift card for Christmas and showed our waiter at the start. He told me it was no good in Delafield, only in the Tosa location. When I got this gift card it was supposed to be honored at the Zesti location in Hartland, (same owner/company) but we found out quickly that that was not an option. So I called il Mito in Tosa and asked if it was good there. Shortly after this call the Delafield location opened with the same name, same owner/chef and I called to verify the card was good there now too. Yes I was told, 3 different times. Today we were told no. We asked for the manager who was already our server and he said I was told wrong and that they had different computer systems. Good for him, he accepted my gift card this one time. Shortly after this he came back to the table and told me there was no money on the card. I showed him the receipt and he took it and the card back with him. When it was time to pay he told us he would again honor it but wanted my name and phone number "in case." In case what?? I was offended and made sure to take a picture of the card and receipt before he took them away "in case" they decide we were out to cheat them.
So, the meal was ok, the atmosphere very nice and the pricing appropriate. But the hastles all around il Mito and Zesti is not worth my time and effort. Sadly, we will go elsewhere for a drama free meal.

This is one of our favorite local restaurants. The patio is lovely--the gas heaters are perfect for outside eating even on a chilly night. The food and guac are so tasty! We've really enjoyed the service; we have a favorite server there who is always funny and extremely good at his job. They have gone out of their way to accommodate special requests when they can (like sitting at a certain table). The fajitas are so good (not traditional, but amazing), the poutine is fantastic, we've loved the empanadas, and we're had only excellent meals here. We're lucky to have this restaurant in Delafield.

The bartender was attentive and my salad was decent enough. I ordered the one item under greens (roasted veggies) and asked for it to be as light in oil as it could be per its normal preparation and it was just SWIMMING in it. The veggies were absolutely soaked through. I rung each one out in my napkin before eating it and still had oil coating my mouth well after dinner. the bartender was apologetic and offered to have it re made but said it was likely to come out similarly. Atmosphere was nice I suppose.

Nice patio dining with latin flavors. Amazing red sangria! (I would come back just for these). The empanadas were delicious. The side salad served with them had an awesome avocodo dressing. We also tried the short rib tacos which were good but the rice and beans had little flavor.

The cheese fondue could have been zestier but I enjoyed the black beans that were added. for dessert, I went for the tres leches but would not recommend it. Despite the nice berry compote, the cake was undersaturated which left it dense and gummy.

Overall, a fun and delicious meal with some winners and losers. I'm looking forward to trying more menu items. I'll be back for sure!

Food and appetizers are good. Staff seems nice, but way under staffed. Service is terrible and SLOW. I have been here twice, and had the same experience.

It took forever to just get chips and salsa! The guy giving water helped us more than our waitress. He brought us a second helping of chips before we saw the waitress!

I basically asked 4 people for our bill because I waited 20 minutes for the waitress to come back with the bill. I finally went inside to get the check to pay.

Cool ambiance, but loud both upstairs and down. I like that they have space upstairs for parties of 4+ We went on Saturday with friends. Our reservation was at 7:30 and we were promptly seated, but that is when the promptness ended. The staff was polite, but overwhelmed. We waited for quite some time for drinks and to have our order taken. The appetizers were okay, but for the price, small and uninspiring. The fresh made guac was pretty decent, a bit heavy on the lime juice, but only 10 or so chips came with it. We had a lot of guac left after the chips were gone, but instead of asking if we'd like more chips (or better yet bringing a basket unprompted) the server asked how it was and took the remainder away. Dinner was the same, you pay big city prices for food that is not on that level. For $32 my husband ordered the "rack of lamb" it was not a rack, but 3 lollipop pieces of the rack and over cooked. I had the blackened scallops, which were not blackened, barely spiced, however they were cooked perfectly. I don't like cilantro, and occasionally I had a bite with it, it was very bitter and unappetizing. I will give it 3 stars, probably should be 2, but there were bright spots in the meal. I don't think we will go back for full dinner, but maybe sit in the bar and split an order of short rib tacos.

I'd say 4 1/2 stars. Interesting variations on typical dishes. Appetizers were excellent.

Just went for drinks. Peter at the bar is very personable and makes great drinks including healthy wine pours. Place looks great! Ran into some friends who liked their food.

Friendly, cozy, great wine pour, loved my pork dish and my wife loved her salad and appetizer combo. Price friendly as well!

We have been to the America's three times since its opening (which was not long ago!) :) Really enjoyed each experience. Food was great-- we've tried the short rib tacos, the fajitas, the burger and the salmon. All yummy dishes with a fun spin. Loved the atmosphere and the staff. Great add to our little Delafield! I would definitely recommend checking it out!
